It seems as though its having a problem with the Advanced LayerSlider after the update. The columns all work fine and are responsive with no additional Quick CSS until there is more than one Advanced Layerslider on the page. As soon as there is more than on Layerslider on the page the responsive columns no longer work.
Hi jmikhail!
Looks doable. You don’t need the boxed layout however as the full width layout looks and works like that image.
There are a few functionality issues that you may have in mind vs what will be achievable but as long as you are skinning elements already in place it should be almost entirely css based.
Cheers!

Hello, I’ve created a team page and placed a couple images and bio clips on it. For some reason, the first image greys out when hovered over, but the others do not. Any ideas what’s going on here? http://nickdimmick.net/WPCastinetest1/about/leaders/staff/
Hi!
What image any social network grabs isn’t up to us. I would suggest using a plugin lets you select the specific image you want to have for each post. I think Yoast’s WordPress SEO lets you do that now as I’m sure others do.
Best regards,
Devin

That has not fixed the issue of the 4 columns in the footer not being responsive. It also does not address the spacing problem originally stated above.
#top .flex_column.av_one_third {
width: 100%;
margin-left: 0;
}
“With the fix that you sent, the images from the first row get stacked tight up against each other when it goes to mobile while the images from the other rows all have wider spacing between them when they go mobile.”
Everything was working fine prior to the update. How can I fix this without having to experiment with adding Quick CSS? Do I need to reinstall the theme?
Hi!
The only way I know of to do it outside of uploading a specific cropped image is: http://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-crop-position/

Devin
No unfortunately not. I think there are a few plugins that will re-scan your posts and set featured images based on the first image in the post but I can’t find any off hand. That would probably be your best route.
I’ve got a couple functions that I’ve used in the past but they set the image on post save and you would still need to go in and re-save the post.
Hi,
Is it possible to add some text on the rollover images of the gallery instead of the arrow over the yellow background, so they can display specific information of the link that is gonna be clicked?
something similar to this:

thanks
Hey understandchristianity!
Can you provide a link to the page? Its a css effect so it should be doable without modifying the actual theme files. Seeing your page specifically will let us target that page/section and not have it spillover anywhere else.

Devin
Hello Kriesi:
I have something weird going on in the footer of my site (www.acunyc.com). I have placed three images in the footer area. When I first go to any page in my site, using Firefox, the three images look properly stacked (i.e. 2 images at top and one at the bottom). However, when I mouse over the images, they shift and become stacked.
I created a video to show this to you (http://screencast.com/t/dTSHx28luv0). You will have to scroll down in the video to see this.
Can you help me with this situation?
Possibly if I could add a table to hold their position this would be best? I tried to do this, but the table borders were showing and I did not want this.
Thanks for your help!
Dan
Hi, Devin! Thanks for taking a look and correcting my mistakes. But now there’s a problem in Explorer 11: The rocks image no longer spans full width as it did before (and as it does on FF and Chrome). Also, even in Chrome, the homepage isn’t nearly as fluid in Chrome as it is on the regular page I pasted above. Is this just one of those things I’ll have to live with?
Put another way: Can I get the homepage to behave exactly as it does on the regular page I noted earlier? (same code, very different results).
Thanks!
Thanks so much for your really fast replies as always. You guys are truly the best at support. I really mean that.
I haven’t had a chance to try this yet, so you can consider this resolved if you want.
Hey Lynn!
Just as a general aside, support is not for customization services. We do what we can but in general support does not cover customization beyond what the theme elements offer. We will very often help anyway but if the queues get long we’ll opt out of it so that bugs/issues can get addressed.
I’m not sure why the topics were closed but we’ve had issues with them getting closed automatically when they shouldn’t.
As for the issues:
- LayerSlider is a plugin that is included in the theme. It does not have a function to be hidden on mobile. This isn’t a bug and it isn’t advertised as doing this. You can hire someone to add in this kind of functionality if its a must-have feature for you.
- Custom buttons added by a user into areas not designed for them would fall under customization the user is responsible for. You can easily use media queries to customize them as needed if you are at all familiar with media queries and css. Going through your topics I can see that you are not which is why I can understand that it has been difficult for you to solve. I would recommend you looking into a freelance developer from either Codeable or Microlancer. It shouldn’t be more than 30 minutes of a task to get the positioning sorted out.
- Changes are only unstable if added in incorrectly or if there is an issue with a specific change.
- Page speed on any WordPress premium theme is a huge topic by itself. Lots of images, image optimization, server speed and active plugins are a huge factor and by itself the theme score pretty well with yslow and others. You do not *need* to have a CDN or to even minify the css/js files.
So again, I don’t know why your topics were closed by please understand that it was free customization and not support that you were getting and asking for.

Devin
Thanks for your support. I changed the the portfolio items “ajax preview images” to an “image list” (i only have 1 picture anyway). So when I use the ajax portfolio grid on my projects page, I want to disable the lightbox. Is there a line like the following that works w/ the “image list” option?
.portfolio-preview-image .avia-gallery a { pointer-events: none; }
Thanks again!
Hey!
I think the issue that you are seeing was actually the alignment of the image in the color section. I set it to be Centered both vertically and horizontally as well as stretch to fit so that it takes up the whole color section background.
I also added column elements to your HR element so they aren’t outside of the grid and have more even spacing.
There was also a stray HR element in one of the icon boxes but not the others so it made them look uneven.
Cheers!

Hi!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab

Hey gmarco!
Can you post the link to your single blog page?
Cheers!

I’m trying to center featured image inside post.
I’ve found the following code on the forums:
.big-preview.single-big{ text-align: center; }
.big-preview.single-big a{ display: inline-block; }
This works to center image in blog but not inside post.
Hey!
I have just logged in and duplicated your slider called “Home Slider copy” and added a second image. You can check it in the slider called “Home Slider copy copy”. Which browser and OS are you using?
Best regards,
Yigit
Hey laurendevine!
This part of the code should be inside the 2nd 2/3 column if you want to show it side by side with the image:
<p>2011: Jennifer Brodsky
2011: Rachel Gratz
2010: Anita Maricela Lopez
2010: Pamela Kim Washington
2008: Joy Sun
2007: Elena Portacolone, PhD
2006: Monika Eckfield
2005: Karen Pak Oppenheimer
2005: Catherine Dodd
2004: Christine Lin
2004: Diane Norcio</p>
Cheers!

Hi gmarco!
Please edit includes > loop-index.php, find this code on line 81:
if($slider) $slider = '<a href="'.$link.'" title="'.$featured_img_desc.'">'.$slider.'</a>';
Replace it with:
if (!is_single()) {
$slider = '<a href="'.$link.'" title="'.$featured_img_desc.'">'.$slider.'</a>';
} else {
$slider = $slider;
}
Best regards,
Ismael

#top #main h1 {
font-size: 23px;
line-height: 1.1em;
margin-bottom: 8px;
}
#top #main h2 {
font-size: 22px;
line-height: 1.1em;
margin-bottom: 8px;
}
#top #main h3 {
font-size: 20px;
line-height: 1.1em;
margin-bottom: 8px;
}
.woocommerce-main-image.zoom {
overflow: hidden;
}
.four.units.single-product-main-image.alpha .images a {
pointer-events: none;
}
Einstellungen:
Woocommerce:
Katalogbilder: 250×250, nicht beschneiden
Einz. Produktbild: 350 x 350, nicht beschneiden
Produktvorschau: 120×120, nicht beschneiden
Im Simple Image Size sind die Einstellungen gleich!
Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe
Daniel
Hi Enfold team,
Great theme!
In the Enfold theme sliderWP you have some leaf images as an animation in the slider. These leaves have transparent backgrounds, which i great for use in the SliderWP. However, I have trouble finding such images online, with transparent background – the only one I can find is images that are graphical creations.
Can you help me with this one – and also send me a link, where I can buy/download the license for the leaves.image that you use in the slidersWP?

Hello,
When you create a post with a featured picture if you click that picture in the blog it will take you the post.
When you’re inside the post itself if you click the image with would display it in real size (like in a gallery). I would like to maintain picture inside post but remove the clicking option / link. So the picture is displayed but you can’t click on it.
Thanks.
