Yes, it is possible to change the direction of the mobile menu but the task falls beyond the scope of support. You need to hire a freelance developer to modify the mobile menu animation for you. Please visit Envato Studio or Werkpress for further customization. You can also vote or post the feature on our Feature Requests page.
You can change the mobile menu icon on functions.php. Look for the facebook char codes for example on line 221:
'mobile_menu' => array( 'font' =>'entypo-fontello', 'icon' => 'ue8a5'),Change the icon char codes ue8a5 to something else. Find the character codes by hovering over the icons when editing any elements with icons on posts or pages:
We’ll use the char code on the example above but we’ll remove the backslash.

Ok, you can add this on Quick CSS or custom.css in order to add the effect on icons without links:
.av_font_icon span:hover:after { -webkit-animation: sonarEffect 1s ease-out; -moz-animation: sonarEffect 1s ease-out; animation: sonarEffect 1s ease-out; }The sonarEffect is white so you might want to change the background color in order to see the effect.

I hope you can help me out with a few questions that I have…
1. I used the Non-Fixed Header with Social Icons and Additional Navigation. I managed to change the background color and font color in the top navigation; however, I can’t seem to change the hover effect (right now, when I hover over the words Connect or Contact in the top nav, it turns the same color as the background color). I would like the hover to be white or light gray, so the user can still see it. Is there some CSS I can put in the Quick CSS box to fix this? Also, how can I change the drop down in the top nav to match the ones in the main menu?
2. Right above the footer/socket, I have three columns where I inserted an image and used the fade animation, bottom to top (the three red circles). Is there any way to add a hover effect on each of these? I know I can write some code and just pop it into a text block, but then I would lose the fade in animation, which I really like that effect. What I’m trying to do is when the user hovers over that image, it would pull up another PNG image with text on it…we won’t have it link to anything…just a rollover effect. I’m not sure if this is something that y’all could help me with or if it’s beyond your support.
3. The hover effect on videos, images and the portfolio grids…the circle with the arrow in it. How can I change the arrow to our logo? I know I’ve seen some replies on this subject before, but I forgot to bookmark it. Could you point me in the right direction?

If the box-shadow color is not specified in the sonar effect than it will inherit the color of it’s element. read about it here

I read here that even if I copy ‘shortcodes.css’ into a child theme folder that the child theme may not use it, relying on the parent themes CSS instead.

Thanks so much for creating such an awesome theme!I’d like the icon border animation to inherit the color of the icons, rather than being white. I’ve read this post and tried this code:

Thanks for helping me, this code is changing the thumbnail size, what do need is when the mouse hovers over the thumbnail something happens, like in the demo.
But I found that my thumbnail is small and that the effect occurs in larger thumbnails 164px that, I think maybe icon located within the thumbnail to be big for what I need and maybe that do not work “mouse hovers over the thumbnail.”

Thanks for the code to male it hover, but I’m still having problems with the home page animations working properly after leaving the home page then navigating back to it. Can you give me a code to make those icons in the footer just appear normal without animating? I would rather eliminate the chance of problems all together. Thanks.

There seems to be a glitch somewhere. I’m still having the same problem in Firefox, and it happened today on a family members PC using Explorer. The problem seems to occur only on the home page after I navigate away from the page and return, or do not clear my history and cache. So to eliminate the problem, how do I
1. Keep the icons from animating

Your original rgba color code is incorrect because its rgba and you don’t have an alpha value. So it should just be rgb.
The icon is a font so if you want it larger you just increase the font size (its the best thing about using font file for icons!).

Could you take a look at what I have done. I’m getting an odd effect when the cursor is by the image, see link:

Its because I have used zoom to make the icon bigger and it also enlarges the circle (which now is set to display none). The circle is there and the zoom is applied to it but it is invisible, you can only see the icon. The cursor still reads from the hidden circle and activated the hover.
What I’m trying to do is have a single solid colour over the whole image with the icon bigger. Is there a way to make the icon bigger without using zoom or a better way of doing this?

I use Dreamweaver still. Only because I used it since it came out in late 90s and been using it since then even though i use it as a notepad, ignoring all those buttons and gadgets. You got a mac, so you can use Coda2 which isn’t made for windows, a good IDE.It’s all a waste when working with WordPress though, or at least I never could get comfortable with any of it.
All animations you see today are jQuery and CSS powered, with css taking over more and more. As soon as ie8 and ie9 browsers die, can hopefully do it all in next generation css. like less or sass which fuse css with a scripting language so can use logic.
The easiest way to animate anything is by using a css selector and then an identical selector but this time with :hover at the end. You can put one image for hover, and another image for normal view, and as soon as a mouse hovers above the image or letter, or any html tag, can get css to do something.
Those glyph icons can be animated any way you want with css which you are starting to understand. The problem is that you cant dynamically switch classes or id’s in the html code on a live site using css alone. or changing a link destination with css alone. So graphics people are today forced into learning javascript, which despite the name is a serious language when compared to php. So there you have it.
