Hi Richard!
Testing 2.5.4 right now on my own personal site, having downloaded the version from ThemeForest just before that I’m getting a youtube video playing fine in Chrome, FF and IE . Safari is not a valid Windows browser as Apple hasn’t supported it for some time.
Mobile is still iffy and as far as I know Kriesi is still working on additional updates to help with mobile browsing since it is a bit more touchy. iOS for example will not play a video without user input so you can’t force autoplaying.
I’ll leave my example up here: http://devinvinson.com/video-testing/
Best regards,
Devin
I am seeing the demo just fine. The problem is the fullscreen slider is not fully responsive. It cuts off the left and right edges of the picture. I have 6 macs here at my company and we checked it on all of them with Chrome, Firefox and Safari and it was the same on all of them. Let me try to explain it to you again.
Here is the picture of the Enfold site fullscreen slider demo page.

Here is a pic of the same page with the browser at its narrowest point.

As you can see the left and right portions of the picture are gone. You cannot see the left tablet and you can only see the left side of the right tablet. That is not responsive. The whole picture should be viewable but smaller. Here is what is missing.

On my site I have a pic with a large logo but I can’t use it because the Fullscreen slider cuts off the left and right parts of the picture. This forces me to make the logo smaller than I would like. See pics below.
Here is a pic of my page.

If it was truly responsive it would show the whole picture only smaller. It is zooming in on the center and cutting off the sides.

I have created a blank page with a single fullscreen slider image to display while I am designing the website. There is a small line or border appearing at the bottom of the image when I view the page in Safari browser on my MacBook and iPhone. When I use Firefox, the line is at the top of the page. http://www.LoveRescues.org
How can I remove these lines?
Was wondering if this was ever resolved? I get the lag on Chrome and Safari on OSX 10.6.
Are there alternatives to getting a fixed image (parallax) effect while still having the image be responsive. So for only fullscreen slider seems to do this.
Thanks!
Thanks Nick for checking into this. As stated before FYI. this does NOT occur if I have the page set as stretched. Only in Boxed mode which is possibly why your sample page of http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/single-portfolio-fullscreen-slider-3/ works fine for me but the page referred to of http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/ is ALSO choppy on Safari even as a stretched page. I hope you guys can figure this one out as the effect is definitely eye-catching.
Hi,
The easiest way to QA this issue, would be for you to start with a fresh install , do a dummy data import which should have that same page ( http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/single-portfolio-fullscreen-slider-3/ ) and then add the same images as the demo sites to your local version of that page. when they are identical , then start adding the css code or customization you want, and you will see where the difference will be. I would compare the source code using something like http://www.winmerge.com to instantly see what makes the demo site different than yours.
Thanks,
Nick
I am sure this topic has been posted to death but I cannot seem to get the Parallax effect on pages to work properly. I have the setup correct but the background image is super choppy as I scroll up and down with Safari. I would blame it on Safari but when I check your demo page http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/single-portfolio-fullscreen-slider-3/ it is perfectly smooth. You also have a slider on that page , as do I and there is no problems on the demo.
FYI, it works fine in Chrome and O.K. in Firefox (but then again it, as stated it looks Great in Safari on your Demo page)
**I am editing this post as I just discovered the effect works GREAT in “Stretched Layout” mode. I am using the boxed layout and that seems to be the issue.
So to sum it up, the Parallax effect with boxed layout on Safari do NOT mix well.
Is there a fix for this?
Rick
Same here. I used Chrome on W8 and OSX, Safari on OSX and Internet Explorer 10 on W8.
