    Hi Ismael

    OK, I can live with that.

    Your latest code causes another thing. The offset is now the same on desktop and mobile view. Is it possible to have a different offset value on mobile view when the header isn’t sticky?

    I’ve also found out, after updating to the latest Enfold Version, that the changes in the enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/toggles/toggles.js file were overwritten by the update. Is it possible to integrate that JS file with the changes in my Child Theme directory, so I don’t have to alter the file after every Enfold update? Nevertheless, how do I know if there are important changes in that JS file within an Enfold update? It’s a dilemma if that file is integrated in my Child Theme because important updates won’t be effective. In my opinion, that issue with the sticky header covering toggles should be fixed within the original Theme code. I can’t believe that I am the only costumer struggling with that.

    Kind regards
    Ueli

    Hi all,
    I’ve got a problem updating to the last version of Enfold in a site using WPML. WPML and WordPress versions are the latest (updated yesterday).

    In my main language (Italian) the widgets after the Enfold update from 4.8.8.1 to 4.9.2 are like the standard ones available on a clean install of WordPress. But in the back office my widget are different and customized by me. This happened only in the main language, in a second language the widgets are the correct ones. If I come back to the old Enfold version everything works fine.

    Please note: I’m not sure but it can be a similar or linked problem at this message:

    Hi,

    I’m in charge of fixing a website with an enfold theme. It needs to be repaired because even the wp_admin login does not work. Reason is: several plugins from within the theme are throwing errors. That is not your fault – the theme on the site was never updated after version 1.X (or so).
    Since I did not build that page I do not have access to the premium version to update it now.
    Is there a way you can help me get the update, since the site and theme was technically already paid for?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hey iveyeng,

    Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:

    .postid-9987 span.author a {
      pointer-events: none;
    }

    Best regards,

    Hi Mike!

    No. But that’s interesting.

    Here’s how I do it:

    I create a Widget on the WordPress Admin with the TOC selecting both H2 and H3.

    Then on the Block editor I add a Shortccode Block, and inside I add the Enfold Shortcode [av_sidebar widget_area='TOCWidget' av_uid='av-h6k48'] I sent you a link to how it looks with H2s only in the Private content.

    But if you change the WordPress Widget to select H3s, it will pick up the Widget Title.

    And yes, the Block Editor has useless dual background blocks but no way to add a WordPress Widget. I wish I would have stayed with the Classic Editor for this site but I decided to go with the flow.

    Best regards,

    Havi

    Hi Volker,

    Thanks for reaching out to us. Are you asking if you can automatically import layouts into the Enfold layout builder? If so, then that is unfortunately not possible if you are currently running a different theme.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    #1347742

    Hi Rikard,

    thank you for the quick feedback. Today I talked with our client and they said it would be too much work to fix all the issues caused by the theme update.

    Thats why I should check the Amazon Pay issue separately. I was only able to place an order with Amazon Pay if I change the theme to Storefront, with the Child theme of Enfold is not possible. All other plugins were disabled. So it must be caused by the theme.

    Best regards

    Thanks so much for the comment about the Access Control. That issue had been driving me crazy but I was able to get that fixed.

    The subdomain I do not control unfortunately, how it currently works is they ask for me to create a master template that they load into their side in order to serve their data using our template. Is there something I should include in my master template that I provide to them? Do I just give them the enfold theme and ask them to load it in? How do I get the scripts from commenting out on their end?

    Hallo, ich unterhalte mehrere Internetseiten und möchte jetzt meinen größten Kunden (AGNNW) umstellen auf Eure Theme. Meine Frage kann ich diese fertige Seite samt Inhalt auch auf ein fertiges Demo-Layout ziehen. Das normale Theme ist ja kein Problem… aber der Kunde hätte gerne so etwas wie das Mdeical-Demo. Da komme ich an meine Grenzen.

    Hi, unfortunately that is not what I wanted.

    I removed the custom css at the top:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    #top .av-burger-menu-main {
    position: absolute;
    top: -35px;
    right: -5px;
    }
    }

    .logo img {
    margin-top: 10px !important;
    }

    #header_main {
    z-index: 20 !important;
    }
    .responsive #top #wrap_all .main_menu {
    top: 48px;
    left: -80px;
    position: fixed;
    }
    }

    Now the menu font is not how it was. See 2 urls below.

    The menu font is set in the Enfold settings, but is getting overwritten somewhere. I’ve cleared cache and changed the css file merging, but no change.

    Hi again Ismael,

    I assumed it would not work as a code snippet so tried to edit the file. So I tried the following:

    I copied the “themes/enfold/config-woocommerce/config.php” file into my Enfold Child theme keeping the same path. This did not fix the issue.
    I copied the updated config.php file into the ENFOLD theme and this also did not fix the issue.

    Thanks
    Lyse

    Hello,
    we just updated some customer websites from Enfold 4.8.9.1 to Enfold 4.9.2.1 via FTP.
    In most of the cases, this works fine.

    We have a multilingual website with WPML, where the footer doesn’t contain the defined widgets.
    If we go back to Enfold 4.8.9.1, everything is fine again.
    So this seems to be a problem with Enfold 4.9.2.1, WPML and the footer widgets.
    The four footer widgets contain menus, RSS feeds and custom HTML Code.

    Please find more information in the private content section.

    Any idea?

    Thanks a lot, Jochen

    Hi,

    after we updated Amazon Pay to the latest version it stopped working. Our customers get an error message and can’t checkout.

    We enabled the default theme Storefront and with that theme it works fine. Also with the newest Enfold version it works. But when we enable the newest version of Enfold we get a lot of theme related issues. We are already checking them in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fix-issues-after-theme-update/

    Is there a way that we can use the latest version of Amazon Pay in combination with our current theme version?

    The update to Amazon Pay v2 is mandated by Amazon. Unfortunately using the current version is not an option.

    Best regards

    Hi,

    The update to 4.9.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    If you need help with updating, then please include admin WordPress and FTP login details in private. Also please verify that you have backups of your site.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

    Now since everything works fine on a 4.7.xx version of enfold, it might be a good idea for me to use a slightly older version than the current one.

    We don’t recommend using older versions of the theme because they are not compatible with the latest version of WordPress and some plugins, they don’t contain fixes for past issues and new features and might still have code that are susceptible to abuses that we don’t know of.

    What we recommend is to find the actual cause of the issue, or to test the theme on a different server with a slightly different specification. If you don’t have access to a different server, first thing that you can do is set the installation to debug mode and enable the error logs. There might be errors occurring in the site that you are not aware of. Another thing is to install the Query Monitor plugin and check if there are slow queries and if there are scripts that are causing errors. You should also check the Site Health in the Tools panel to look for issues, hints for improvements and other recommendations.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Glad to know that the suggestions above are working. Regarding the image orientation, you can modify this code in the enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcode-helpers/class-avia-masonry.php file around line 605, but we are not sure how this would affect other masonry layouts.

    	if( $size == 'fixed' )
    				{
    					if( ! empty( $attachment ) || ! empty( $before_content ) )
    					{
    						if( $auto )
    						{
    							$class_string .= $this->ratio_check_by_image_size( $attachment );
    						}

    						if( $manually )
    						{
    							$class_string .= $this->ratio_check_by_tag( $entry['tags'] );
    						}
    					}
    				}

    You can remove the condition $size == ‘fixed’ completely or just replace it with true.

    if( true ) {
      // rest of the code
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey jpa6,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    This is probably the same issue as discussed in this older thread.

    // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/cross-origin-request-blocked-fonts-not-loading-on-english-wpml/

    You have to add this code in the functions.php file to adjust the path and use relative URL for the font files.

    add_theme_support( 'custom_uploaded_fonts_relative_url' );

    Please make sure to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adding the snippet.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey there NIXHALBES,
    and hi to Kriesi Support,

    what I forgot to add in the hurry is: The above script works in many environments, but it does not work, when you have Borlabs Cookie in use. Tested with latest version of all. With the approach given by NIXHALBES, the page will throw a JS error. In particular at the following situations:

    • Clicking on “accept all” (or whatever the wording is on the accept-all-button) in the Borlabs Cookie Popup
    • Accepting 1 or more options aside of “essential cookies” and clicking on “save” in the Borlabs Cookie Popup

    Generally it would be much appreciated (at least I think some to many will do so), if Enfold would have an option in the theme settings, to toggle whether Google Maps font loading shall be allowed or dis-allowed.

    Happy weekend to all.

    Hey tremblayly,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Is it working correctly when you remove this code from the themes/enfold/config-woocommerce/config.php file?

    line 367:

    remove_action( 'woocommerce_pagination', 'woocommerce_catalog_ordering', 20 );
    remove_action( 'woocommerce_pagination', 'woocommerce_pagination', 10 );

    line 388:

    remove_action( 'woocommerce_after_shop_loop', 'woocommerce_pagination', 10 ); //remove woo pagination

    This should re-enable the default Woocommerce pagination in the product shortcode.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    You can set the Enfold > Privacy & Cookies > Cookie Handling > Default Cookie Behavior settings to the first or second option to allow scripts to run on page load, without user consent.

    Hey jb84,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You should not duplicate the page and use the WPML default translation editor instead of manually copying the content of the original page. Please check this documentation for more info on how to translate pages using the Advance Layout Builder and WPML.
