Hi, in topic #245002 I asked for a method to have a mailchimp subscription form in one line. I got some CSS code to add to the “Quick CSS” section of Enfold and everything worked fine. After updating to WP 3.8.2 the input fields are no longer in one line (see test page http://infotropic.ru/?page_id=607). In the page source, I found that <br> tags where added automatically after each <input> line. I guess they are the culprit. How to get rid of them?
Best regards,
Holger
Hope you add this option in future on your themes…
Thanks!
I noticed in woocommerce single product pages – the tab has term ‘additional information‘ – and the it is reiterated as an h2 in the panel : – is this a setting that can be changed? – just a tweak – seems redundant (mentioned twice) right now – might be in the woocommerce core ?? – using ENFOLD theme – thanks in advance….

HI Devin
Thankfully, I was able to figure out what went wrong, even though I’m not a programmer, since its taken 2 days for anyone to respond to me. I understand you guys probaby have tons of issues coming at you, but it was a little scary to have my site down for 45 mins and no way to flag a message as “urgent” to you (that would be a nice addition to the forum btw).
The reason the site went down was that instead of pasting the text under the if(isset . . . line of code in the functions.php in the enfold theme that Ismael gave me (which totally broke my site), I inserted it into a functions.php file of my child enfold theme (even though there’s no if(isset. . . line of code) and I was able to see the code of the avia layout builder which is what I was after.
Hi Magnus_Norrman!
If you are using a recent version of the theme then you can update from within WordPress. If not, then you can update via FTP: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!
Devin
You can reply here with a private reply at any time but in this instance that error is with WordPress core itself. Your core files may have gotten corrupted if re-loading the theme doesn’t work.
Some other things to try are deleting the enfold theme folder from your wp-content>themes folder to force WordPress to load in one of the default themes, renaming your plugins folder in wp-conent to any other name so WordPress can’t recognize theme and defaults to turning them all off.
If the issue is still happening then you would need to either re-install WordPress or just that specific file that is having the error by downloading the core from here, unzipping, finding that file and uploading it in place of that one:http://wordpress.org/download/
Hi!
You may have not pasted in the code correctly and caused a php error. The snippet should be added in exactly as it appears here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
A single missing bracket will cause the functions.php file not to be able to run.

Devin

Thanks for your quick reply Yigit, it worked! Did I do something wrong to cause this? Is there anything else I should know about this going forward?
Thanks again,
David
Hey!
Thank you for the update.
You’re using version 2.6.1, please update the theme to 2.6.2 then do the changes above. Please download the latest version from your themeforest account then update the theme via FTP. Please refer to this link: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!

Hey fitzpatrick512!
Thank you for using the theme!
Please reconfigure the header options on Enfold > Header > Mobile Menu. Note that the mobile dropdown menu has been removed on the latest update of the theme. You can only use the Slide Out Menu.
Regards,
Ismael
Hey jb84!
Thank you for using the theme!
You can use the Content Slider instead of the Testimonial element if you want to add images as testimonials. Edit the home page then switch to advance layout builder, add the content slider or the testimonial elements. If you have any questions, definitely take some time to review all of the resources in the Theme Documentation as a lot of basic stuff like theme installation, css snippets etc are already available in there with better explation and awesomeness. You can also watch some of our Video Tutorials to learn more about the theme.
If you find that you still have questions after taking the time on our documentations, don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to assist you. If you have any requests or you feel like giving us a warm hug? You can definitely post it on our Feature Requests page.
Cheers!
Ismael
We are using “Sidebar Custom Menu” putting the “Custom Menu Widget” in the “Pages Sidebar” and “Posts Sidebar” widgets. This is our main navigation.
I created “Header Secondary Menu” as “Enfold Child Secondary Menu.”
“Menu and Logo Position” are set to “Logo left, Menu right”
“Enfold Child Main Menu” is set to “Sidebar Custom Menu.” If I set it to ” – Select a Menu -” the menu shows up in the Enfold Child Main Menu position anyway.
To make the Enfold Child Main Menu disappear, I put .av-main-nav { display:none; } into Quick CSS. That worked.
In Manage Locations,” Enfold Child Secondary Menu” is set to “Header Secondary Menu,” the menu I created. It doesn’t show up.
What am I doing wrong?
Finally with some customization: https://www.mensmaximus.de
I like Enfold and recommend it every day.
Hello,
How can I double the image size of a blog style: single author small preview (set in enfold settings). Thnx
Greets Tim
Hi I’m building a website with Enfold version 2.5.2 which looks fantastic apart from when you view it on a mac. Every time my friend looks at a different page the page jumps about 5 px to the left and then back to the right. I have tested the website on two different people with macs. It doesn’t do it on my pc or on a phone, ipad or tablet. Please can you help as I don’t want the client I’m building the site for to have this problem.
HI~
It seems that there are always has some issues existing in the header setting. I may put some codes in it to change that but still, sometimes it didn’t works…. Hope you guys could update it in the next version.
Thanks~
Hi
i wanted to change the caption text css and tried it via the css quick box in enfold styling
I chnaged that
.wp-caption-text {
display:block;
font-size:11px;
font-style:italic;
margin:0 auto;
padding:3px 10px 5px;
text-align:center;
font-family: Georgia,”Times New Roman”;
}
into
.wp-caption-text {
display:block;
font-size:12px;
font-style:bold;
margin:0 auto;
padding:3px 10px 5px;
text-align:center;
font-family: "Roboto", arial, sans-serif !important; }
But nothing changed.
As a new user of the Enfold theme I imported the demo content.
Obviously I did this twice and now I have every menu point tweo times.
What can I do to change this?
Thanks.
I have a very strong feeling now that the owner of the site turned on some sort of godaddy feature that is overriding enfold completely!
Thank you very much for the assistance and that makes perfect sense. I ran a copy of this on my own apache/mysql server and the mobile site runs as it should. This is the first time I’ve run a site with enfold so I didn’t even know that wasn’t your mobile version. I wasted so much time on this.

Hi,
I checked your website on a tablet and it redirects me to mobile.laxlibrary.com, which loads a non-Enfold version of your site, you may want to disable that functionality if you want to see the changes done in the CSS.

Hi,
I cannot get my background for the layerslider to accommodate anything but full screen. I bought this because I want it to adapt to the many screen sizes. I looked and the sliders that came with Enfold and my settings are exactly the same but my background immediately shrinks to a smaller size when you make your browser window smaller. Here is my website so far:
wildelake.com/band
I did see the response about not making the background of the slider a picture and just making it a layer but I could not manage that, it stayed in it’s original size. Can you help?
Ann
Hey!
Have you tried using the fullwidth easy slider? http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/easy-slider/
It doesn’t crop anything and adjusts based on the image itself.
For the above, you can add custom classes to images themselves in a regular text tab (not using the ALB) or if you want to try it it on the ALB elements you can turn on the custom class field with this function: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/

Devin
