Hello
Before using Enfold I was using forms form Contact Form 7 with an additional plugin “Contact Form DB”.
Contact Form DB is able to save all informations that have been submitted, this way we can easily export very useful data that are used by marketing managers.
Now I use Enfold forms, so I asked to the author of Contact Form DB if it is possible to get those data, and yes it is possible and it works.
The problem is that when Enfold POST a form, the data fields are not properly encoded (I’m not talking the sent email, this one is ok)
some special characters are not displayed nicely, eg:
An email adresse look like this: name%40mydomain.com
Spaces are: %20
A [ is: %5B
A ] is: %5B
and so on…
Please, kook at those two screenshots, they show you how data are posted and you will see that Contact Form 7 specials characters are urldecoded but not with Enfold…
Some changes should be done into the class-form-generator.php file, but I don’t know how to do it… :(
1/ Enfold

2/ Contact Form 7

Thank you
Hey!
You definitely don’t need to do much of anything after activating except the normal new theme activation steps. Specifically, you need to re-set your main menu to the new themes main menu location, add in your logo so the theme has it to use and then you can use the general styling tab to pick any of the pre-defined color schemes which can all be done in under a few minutes.
For example, in this installation video I upload, import the dummy data and have everything up and running in under 5 minutes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/

Hi BarkProductions!
I create a simple child theme in this video: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/
And you can download one there on that page. If you are familiar with github I have a repo you can download/fork as well https://github.com/DevinVinson/enfold-child-starter
All of your css would go in the child theme style.css.
Cheers!
Devin
I’d like to make some modifications to a template file (includes/helper-main-menu.php) and also I have lots of CSS changes that I have placed into the Quick CSS field.
I think it would be better to create a child theme of Enfold, and place this modified template file and my extra CSS in this new theme.
I tried creating a child theme of Enfold but it did not display any of the styling that I had applied via the WYSIWYG WP interface so it looked like a plain Enfold template.
What’s the best way to create a child theme? Would this be the best way to accomplish what I want (change a template file and add an extra CSS file)?
Hi ,
I have a custom post type and this is displayed using AVIA layout builder “PORTFOLIO GRID”
When you click through to the POST single() the NEXT and PREV post are available as per the theme functionality.
However as soon as you add a AVIA layout builder ADVANCED LAYER SLIDER to the post layout the NEXT and PREV post functionality is no longer available.
I’d like to keep the NEXT and PREV posts
Any chance there is a fix for this ?
thanks!
Hi there,
I’m trying to create a gallery like this one in the demo site: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/masonry-gallery/
When I create a gallery I get the usual lightbox window styling. I would prefer the minimal styling like the Enfold demo page above. Is this an option in the theme, or has this been created via CSS customisation?
Thanks
Hey!
Please update the theme to the latest version (2.9).
Best regards,
Josue
Hi vic98!
You theme files are a good bit out of date and updating should help bring you up to compatibility with the current WordPress version and supported plugins.
See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Regards,
Devin
Try the demo and see if you get the same behavior, I’m definitely getting the lightbox on your site and if you don’t get it on the demo its most likely a browser setting or add-on conflict.
Ex: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/2013/10/21/postformat-gallery-multiple-images-with-different-sizes/
Here is what I’m seeing on your site at the moment:

Hi!
@Munford i checked your website on Safari 7 and it worked as expected. Make sure you are using the latest version of Safari.
@chembro303 that’s an built-in Enfold element called Masonry Gallery: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/masonry-gallery/
Cheers!
Josue
Hi!
You’d need to convert that gallery into an Enfold gallery in order to use the captions, you can use the magic wand tool to create an Enfold gallery element in Posts:

Hey!
A new version of Enfold (2.9) that solves this issue was released today. Please update the theme to the latest version.

Hey!
If you are seeing it on the demo page too then i’m pretty sure it’s a something on your computer, otherwise this would have been massively reported by another users, here’s how i see the Enfold 404 page you linked on IE11:

Make sure you don’t have any special plugins/toolbars/blockers/filters/etc installed on the browser or the system.

Josue
No. I only have one computer. I have tried it in several browsers though and IE is the only one with an issue. I don’t think it is a computer problem.
I locked my site down – it is in development.
I tried it on your demo site and got the same result.
This is the url I typed in:
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/gallery/adfs .
This is what showed up on the page (except in text – I put it in a code block here):
(Email address hidden if logged out) ","i18n_select_state_text":"Select an option\u2026","i18n_required_rating_text":"Please select a rating","i18n_no_matching_variations_text":"Sorry, no products matched your selection. Please choose a different combination.","i18n_required_text":"required","i18n_view_cart":"View Cart \u2192","review_rating_required":"yes","update_order_review_nonce":"d247e46e52","apply_coupon_nonce":"54912cbae2","option_guest_checkout":"yes","checkout_url":"\/themes\/enfold\/wp-admin\/admin-ajax.php?action=woocommerce-checkout","is_checkout":"0","update_shipping_method_nonce":"1eda5d223a","cart_url":"http:\/\/kriesi.at\/themes\/enfold\/cart\/","cart_redirect_after_add":"no"}; /* ]]> */ Scroll to top
Hi!
Thank you for using the theme!
I checked the page and the style on the footer is being applied. Let us know if the issue persist. Enfold 3.9 is out, please download in from your themeforest account. :)
Cheers!
Ismael
Hi watchamacolin!
There isn’t currently an option for that so you would need to request it as an option here https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/ and if its a must-have soon then a freelance developer from either Codeable.io or Envato Notes would be able to assist in the customization.

Devin
The following message just appeared in my dashboard when I was in the LayerSlider panel. Are my layer sliders going to stop working without notice? I’m using Enfold 2.8.1.
phpQuery, an external library in LayerSlider, have unmet dependencies. It requires PHP5 with the following extensions installed: PHP DOM extension, PHP Multibyte String extension. Please contact with your hosting provider to resolve these dependencies, as it will likely break LayerSlider to function properly. This issue could result a blank page in slider builder.
Thank you Gunter!
There was a small typo in your code but following works well!
/* Include the global settings for Enfold */
add_action('init', 'tnb_change_layout', 900);
function tnb_change_layout()
{
global $avia_config;
$avia_config['layout']['sidebar_right'] = array('content' => 'eight alpha', 'sidebar' => 'four alpha', 'meta' => 'two alpha', 'entry' => 'eight alpha'); //GWB
}
/* End of Enfold changes */

I am playing with a default install of the theme and it seems that the font on the slider on this page
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v10-magazine/
is different than the one(s). Is this font set as custom on the demo site?
This looks bolded and I don t think the theme settings have an option to bold fonts only to select the typeface
Please advise how to obtain the same font and bold title
Hi hollymlewis!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
#header .avia_mega_div { right: 0!important; }

Hi!
“Access denied”
Can you upload your screenshot on imgur.com or Dropbox public folder and post the link here?
I have not seen your screenshot but please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab to decrease the padding of main content
.content, .sidebar { padding-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; }
Cheers!

Hi,
I’m trying to embed and configure an audio playlist into an Enfold Avia Text Box. Everything works fine, I was able to find, select, order all my tracks and publish my page. Here’s the thing… when I “Preview” the page it looks just like your test page here: http://mara-events.de/cms/test-page/
Check this out… : http://ericksondigitalarts.com/dummy-2/
However, when I look at it out in the wild it looks like this: http://ericksondigitalarts.com/dummy-page/ And, more importantly, when I select any track, it’s opened up on a new page like this: http://ericksondigitalarts.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/03-Didnt-Turn-Out-Like-The-Movies-James-Oneil-and-the-Silver-Shadows.mp3
Can you tell me what I can do to get my live page to behave like my Preview page? Thanks very much for your help.
I need to change the opacity settings for the inactive slides in a full page width accordion slider. The black overlay has an opacity of something like .7 when inactive and it’s too dark for me–makes it oppressive. I need to change that. I looked all through the .js files and can’t find anything. Nor in the .css files.
Can you tell me how to do this? I’d like to have control over the opacity and be able to set it so it won’t get overwritten with a theme update. This is the page in progress – http://novabook.us/novabookblog/ – I usually can do this in a .js file, but can find nothing.
I found #post-29842, but that didn’t help as there is no “custom.js”.
Hope you can help!
Thank you.
– Michael
Thanks Peter!
I tried to add it into child theme but I got an error message. Then deleted it and tried the theme, but got the same and the site was not accessible anymore.
