    Hey!

    Try wrapping that part of the page into a Color Section (Layout Elements), you can set a color background to them. Also, check this article: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/

    Regards,

    Hey Ivana!

    Check this article:
    http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/

    Use a code like:

    .custom_textblock{
    background: green;
    padding: 20px;
    }

    Best regards,
    Josue

    Thank you. I have updated to 2.9.1. Strangely, the “1” update notification usually displayed within Enfold didn’t appear until after you had notified me us this update.

    I followed your directions above, even changing the Footer Font Color to a dark blue, and you can see that my headings appear in a light blue, as if there is some obfuscated sheen over my title text.

    Please reference website footer for example of changed color, with same title font effect.

    Thank you again for your attention.

    I’m new and I am having trouble placing a header logo and the menu next to each other. The menu is placed to the right but lower than I’d like. I’m not sure I put my header logo in the right pace on the page and below the menu there is a large gap between the menu and my slider of images.

    My other problem is that the masonry gallery images are so large. See the link.. I’d like the images to look like the masonry portfolio in your demo

    Thank you so much for your help with all this!!!!

    Hi!

    Enfold no longer uses PrettyPhoto. The new PopUp script is Magnific Popup:

    Hey Valerian!

    That featured is not available at the moment, if you really need it you would have to contact a developer for the job, also feel free to request it here.

    I use Enfold a lot and I’ve been using the Layerslider that comes with Enfold to place a full width banner image on sites that really don’t need a slider, so maybe I’m going about it the wrong way.

    Here’s a site I’m working on now, for example: http://host.hylifellc.com/new/

    My issue is this: these banners show up differently in different browsers, screen sizes; sometimes people have to reduce their screen size to 75% in order to see all text in the Banner… but then the website content is so small. So it’s a responsive issue? fixed with css? or is it the image sizes I’m creating…. do I have to create an image in a certain size then keep important content within certain pixels? Should I stop using Sliders to place these images in and do it an entirely different way since it’s just one image?

    Bottom line is that I need to streamline my process and know how to do this right every time.

    Thank you

    Hi!

    See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/create-new-portfolio-item/

    The ajax content is added in via the ajax content area under the normal portfolio content area (when editing any single page).

    That will get you a layout like this : http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio/portfolio-ajax/

    The image is on the left and the text area on the right. The content of that image and text is added in by you (not automatically).

    There isn’t anything however that would load in a video by pressing a button so that would need to be custom developed.

    Best regards,
    Devin

    I am new to Enfold (and web development in general), and struggling to figure out how to create a template page that I can use for all the posts I plan on having. Please help! I’ve spent hours searching through this forum, and tried the directions given here but I’m still not getting it.

    Basically, I plan to have several different categories (or “collections”) of posts, such as:

    • weekly video posts (of each Sunday’s church service)
    • personal stories (some video, some with large image)
    • featured resources
    • events

    However, I’d like all of the post pages in these categories to be styled the same way so that blog post pages dont look any different style-wise than non-blog pages. Basically I am wanting to re-create this page as my basic page template, for the entire site (other than the home page), but also specifically for these posts. Another example is here.

    So, a full width 75%-of-screen-image at the top that may be either a video or a static image, with my content below. I don’t mind if the video doesn’t stretch the full width when playing, and would actually like the black boxes on either side when viewing on large screens (though I dont know how to do that yet).

    I can create a page like this as a normal web page. I guess I’m really just asking: how can I have pages that are styled this way but also take advantage of the blog features of Enfold so that I can feature these pages/posts in other places (i.e. home page) using a Content Slider or some equivalent?

    I also think the blog Category feature makes for a good way to organize all these posts into collections, so I want to be able to take advantage of that. Is this possible or do I need to simply build each “post” from scratch as an individual web page and organize them using menus and sub-menus?

    Thanks for taking time to reply

    Hi! Thanks for your quick reply!
    I gave that link a try with my own page in the link but, unfortunately, it opened the page in the same window, not a lightbox.
    (running wp 3.9.1 and latest enfold).
    Thanks again!

    I’m sure that I’ve done something wrong, but my footer heading text is pink, when it should be red. Can you look at the provided link, scroll to the footer and look at my footer headings? I’ve probably set this up in the Enfold Footer settings under General Settings, but not sure what to do.

    Thanks for taking a look at this!

    I have a 4 column gallery and the thumbnail images are blurry (images look great when you click and see them in a lightbox) – I checked firebug and the gallery is using 180X180 images and scaling to 244X244. Can you tell me how I can create 244X244 images for my galleries? I use the 180X180 thumbnails on other pages…

    I’ve tried the site on every browser and cleared the bowser and restarted my computer my client see the same issue. Look at the home page bottom you still see

    “LayerSlider: old jQuery issue
    It looks like you are using an old version (1.6.1) of the jQuery library. LayerSlider requires at least version 1.7.0 or newer. Please update jQuery to 1.10.x or higher. Important: Please do not use the jQuery Updater plugin on WordPress and do not update to 2.x version of jQuery because it is not compatible with older browsers like IE 7 & 8. You can read more about updating jQuery by clicking here.”

    it’s throughout the website but don;t you see on the bottom of the home
    page the the jqerrie problem. I am building this site for the client and he
    had the same problem viewing images. Did you tray and create a page using
    page building. try making an image or slider then publish it and see if you
    can view it

    http://hotsyva.com/

    I purchased the theme enfold 2.9.1 and I have the newest version of wordpress WordPress 3.9.1. WHAT DO I DO problem still not fixed. Images on my home page are missing and I can not edit some copy unless I put the area in the text mode but then can not see edits until I publish

    Hi,
    Where can I change the default author description (if a user has not filled in their “Bio”)?
    Right now it reads something like:
    “This author has yet to write their bio.
    Meanwhile lets just say that we are proud AUTHORNAME contributed a whooping XX entries.” I understand that the text to be edited is located in enfold\includes\loop-about-author.php but I do not want to edit theme files because I will have to manually make the changes every time the theme is updated. Ugh.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello, I have a problem with Enfold when people try to open my webpage from a mobile phone. They cannot see the page properly:
    – they see code instead of images
    – if the images have some links (like the ones in the index page), they cannot click on them.

    Do you have any idea of why this could be?

    Do I have to add any code or add any plugin to solve this problem?

    I’m not much into programming or webpublishing. I do the webpage myself and my lack of knowledge shows…

    Thanks in advance for your time and patience with me.

    In reply to: Header issues

    Hi!

    Please change the first code to following one

    .av-main-nav > li > a span.avia-menu-text, li#menu-item-search a { position: relative; top: 30px; }

    Is your logo fine now? If not, you can change the header height in Enfold theme options > Header Layout > Header Size and set custom value to 300px.
    If your logo is fine, you can use the code i suggested above

    Best regards,

    Hey connect4consulting!

    The plugin mentioned here is the best resource we can point to: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/

    Doing the database export, changing the data for the new url and then importing in the database via phpMyadmin (or whatever your host has for database management) will move the data over best. Then make sure you have the same files moved over (uploads, plugins, theme).

    Best regards,
    Devin

    Hi Ismael,

    I do have the most recent update of Enfold, and disabling the plugins did not fix the issue.

    Hmm.
