Ok, having been given the run around and chasing hares down dead end streets from cryptic answers/suggestions from these theme developers and showcases – it turns out that although these templates are supposed to be simple and operated by novices – in fact you still have to be a bit of a geek to sort out this mess. There is no clear way that a user is :
1. informed of what version one is running
2. advised that new releases have been launched
3. supposed to find the updates
4. is supposed to know how to install updates
etc
etc.
I guess that’s the joy of open source, everyone getting on the band wagon, writing stuff to sell, without a proper professional approach to customer support ( ie everyone using this stuff is assumed to be as geeky as the geeks themselves! ).Anyhow – tirade over – here is a way to sort out your WordPress problems ( believe me this works – have been agonizing over this over the last 3 days and eventually figured out how to do this). This is the OLNY thing you have to do to get your theme back working properly.

How to update Enfold theme to latest version:Go to ThemeForest website
http://themeforest.net
Insert username and passwordThen click on your username and select ‘download’ from the dropdown menu.
Download the Enfold zip fileExtract Enfold folder and replace in ftp site via FileZilla (this is the geeky part!) – or similar ftp method.

tip – manually check your set up often to see if there are new updates, because no one is going to tell you when there are.

So far we have no actual bugs found with Enfold version 2.9.2 and WordPress 4.0. Each instance has been resolved with updating, deactivating other plugins or updating a plugin.
For a local installation there is very little we could do to debug it since local server setup can vary so widely.
The version.txt comes in the full download of the theme you can get from your downloads on themeforest. It isn’t in the theme folder by itself.

I’ve been trying to utilize the LayerSlider 5.2.1 plugin in Enfold 2.9.2. I’m running the newly updated WordPress 4.0.
Am I missing something when utilizing this plugin? I’ve deactivated all of my other plugins and I’ve purchased the plugin from CodeCanyon.Still not working.

I tested a fresh version of WordPress 4.0 & Enfold 2.9.2 locally.
Works correctly. Avia page layout is visible.But the site page editor on my live local site has this problem. Its been updated to wp4 & Enfold 2.9.2 (site is local)
Any ideas on how to fix this?
btw… the ftp theme video mentions a Versions document which can be used to check folders that have been upgraded. There is not a Version document in the Enfold update 2.9.2

I’m also having the same problem with the add media button. I have been updating this site for days now and no problems and then all of a sudden the “add media” doesn’t work. Changed the theme to Twenty twelve and the button works?? I am running the latest ver Wp (4) and latest Enfold ver 2.8.1

I can select:
Single post with small preview image (featured image)
Single post with big preview image (featured image)
Multi Author Blog (displays Gravatar of the article author beside the and featured image above)I’d like NO preview image / NO featured image for all posts.

The only way you can currently do that is to turn on the debug window which lets you see an edit the raw shortcode data of the builder. You do need to be considerably more cautious when moving or editing data in the debug field since an error within it could cause the builder to not be able to correctly output the content.

– order received
– view order
– lost Password
– edit adress
– logout
ordering and order- confirmation e-mail are correctely generated.
The Woocommerce Support mean this is a theme problem…
Any Ideas? is a upgrade in the pipeline to solve this problems?

Hey!
You need to be using Enfold vesion 2.9.2 which was released on August 27th and brought the theme up to compatibility with the changes in WordPress 4.0.
Make sure you also have updated all plugins you are using and if they don’t have an update make sure to try deactivating the them so there are no outside conflicts between the theme and WordPress.

Make sure you are using Enfold version 2.9.2 which was actually pushed out before WordPress 4.0 was even released and was tested (and updated) to work with the changes WordPress 4.0 introduced.

DevinSame here – using this theme on my professional website – and this is an unacceptable state of affairs.
I discussed this with my service provider and they said that this is something they are beginning to see lot of.
On top of this my website was hacked ( Enfold theme was the culprit) and then tried to update to all latest versions. Although my WordPress dashboard said I had all the latest versions, apparently this was not the case when my service provider checked the system under the hood.This brings serious questions to the suitability of these themes if they have significant vulnerabilities and incompatibilities.

I am having serious issues with compatibility between Enfold and WordPress latest version. My website cant be edited since a WordPress v 4.0 update.
I can open WordPress pages, but the Enfold editor does not display templates – the window just hangs – frustrating.
Need this sorted out urgently.

Topic: WPML Media Library Issue
Hi,
I am not sure is this is an Enfold problem or WPML‘s. I have duplicated my media library and the website (www.franchiseelites.com) has two languages so far. When I want to insert a Gallery in the Farsi version, picutures are not the same as the ones I chose in the Gallery. It shows some other irelevant pictures.
Have you guys faced such a problem before?

AmirYesterday, I upgraded my site to WordPress 4.0 (http://BittenByAZebra.com).
I can no longer get into Avia Layout builder pages to edit them. I can create blog posts but cannot get the “Add Media” button to work or links in the editor.
I can add html code in the text box to post items but that’s the only way to do it.
I have disabled all my plugins (there aren’t many) and disabling the plugins does not change things.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Q. Does Masonry Gallery under “Media Elements” use lazy loading to fetch it’s images?
I am not inquiring about Masonry under the “Content Elements” that creates a Masonry Portfolio. I’m asking specifically about the Masonry Gallery under the “Media Elements” tab in ALB.
Visually, the images appear to dynamically load as you scroll down the page. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they are fetched server side dynamically. They could already be loaded as hidden elements in the web page’s HTML. I am asking because I want to load a Masonry Gallery in a lightbox window and I need to code the Javascript to refresh some data attributes that are native to the lightbox. FYI, it is not the default lightbox that comes loaded with Enfold. I am not inquiring for assistance or instructions with this. I’m just asking about how the Masonry Gallery works technically, so I know how to tackle this to make it work.

A quick question. Now and then I create a content piece on a page and I want to use the exact same element (inclusing, lay-out, icons, content etc.) on another page on the website. I epxected to be able to copy the complete elemetn and paste it in another page.Any suggestions?

I have an issue with Enfold and SSL. I have a working SSL cert and I also have Woo Commerce. I had problems before with forcing SSL on the Checkout (via woo commerce). The system would get caught in a loop with HTTP and HTTPS conversions. To get around this I got the WordPress HTTPS plugin.
I have gone to the checkout page and added a tick in the box which secures the page. Now I do not have the looping error but I now have a mixed content issue.
So now none of the Enfold styling etc. in the checkout is displayed it looks a mess. Everything is ok until SSL is enabled when you click checkout. I just want the check out and associated pages secured and not the whole we site.
How do I do it? It’s driving me nuts and I new to all this.

Ist das machbar? Wenn ja, wie kann man gestallten? Oder geht es nur mit kundenspezifischer Kodierung sowie Anpassung?

Hi
Just installed Wootickets with Woocalender plus Woocommerce and am having display issues. some of it was being caused by Yoast plugins but they have now been given the boot. Tried using Twenty Twelve and that sorted the problem out ..just. Still have to resolve multiple tickets not showing.
However the display issue remains with Enfold as can be seen on the ticket page the dates are not displaying correctly as are the ticket(s) at the bottom of the page. The ticket(s) at the bottom of the page should be styled as woocommerce??
Do you know what may be causing the problem??
