  • Hi rainmakerim!

    Have you updated to Enfold version 2.9.2 already? It was released just before WordPress 4.0 and is specifically to make it work for WordPress 4.0.

    Cheers!

    I had the Iconosquare Instagram widget and the Twitter widget side by side on my front page – when I upgraded to 2.9.2, the Iconosquare widget “slipped” into the footer, leaving a blank space where it was, next to the Twitter widget. I deleted it in the footer back end, it disappeared from the footer on the front end, but I can’t get it to show correctly on the page! It still shows correctly on the layout builder (it never disappeared there – just showed up mysteriously in the footer area), but I cannot get it to show on the page. It’s really very weird. I do have the current version of the widget. Any ideas? Still on WP 3.9.2

    clarifying – Both the Twitter & Iconosquare widgets are in Widget Area content element blocks, both set to “Displayed Everywhere”. They were working perfectly until the Enfold update. Since I wrote the above, the Twitter widget has also completely disappeared. The ONLY thing I changed was setting the footer columns from 5 to 4 – and there she went. Now I’m scared to touch a dang thing.

    Can I have 2.9 back please? This release is scaring me.

    If you open up the enfold folder and then replace all of its content with the content of the enfold folder from your zip file you’ve downloaded from themeforest then that will bring your theme up to date.

    If you watch the video I linked to above I go through the exact steps you take.

    Hi!

    Can you try deactivating all other active plugins? So far we’ve not had any issues with just 4.0 and Enfold 2.9.2 like the above so unless something went wrong on the installation it should be running without any errors.

    Regards,
    Devin

    Hi!

    We are aware of this issue, to fix it go to Appearance > Menus, create and set a new menu as the Enfold Main Menu (Theme Locations).

    Josue

    I have started a new site at http://gigentertainment.com/wordpress/ I just updated the WP and Enfold to the latest versions – 4.0 and 2.9.2. Since the updates, I just tried to build 2 portfolio pages (I did not build any before the update). With each page, when I try and View Page from the editor, I get the error page Page Not Found – “Nothing Found Sorry, the post you are looking for is not available…” Even trying to plug in the URL directly in the browser returns the same error message. These are the pages:

    http://gigentertainment.com/wordpress/portfolio-item/corporate-lighting/
    http://gigentertainment.com/wordpress/portfolio-item/wedding-lighting/

    Interestingly, the page I set up to display the portfolios recognizes the page’s image and URL although it can’t display them properly:
    http://gigentertainment.com/wordpress/lighting-video/
    I have tried displaying the portfolios both with and without Ajax through the Portfolio Grid.

    I have set up both lighting-video and the portfolio pages with the exact elements as the Enfold sample pages. Please help!

    Thanks Josue,
    I have looked at your suggestion and also tried so many other things. I searched the forum for hours, but I can’t find a solution.
    I would think it would be something simple, but I have not enough knowledge to get it done.
    When I look at the code of the Enfold blank template, it does a couple of things which I don’t understand (see below).
    I just want my iframe be displayed full page. That should not be so hard should it?
    Hope you can guide me some further to the solution.
    Thanks,

    Stephen

    global $avia_config;
    $avia_config[‘template’] = “avia-blank”; //important part. this var is checked in header and footer php and if set prevents them from rendering. also an additional class is applied to the body

    if(!empty($avia_config[‘conditionals’][‘is_builder’]))
    {
    $avia_config[‘conditionals’][‘is_builder_template’] = true;
    get_template_part(‘template-builder’);
    exit();
    }

    Hello :-)

    Question – I just updated to 2.9.2. The site went into “Maintenance Mode, please check back later”, and stayed there for some time. I went into the Web>Content folder via FTP and found the .maintenance file, and was about to rename it, but just as I navigated to it, the site came back up. Should I leave that file alone, or is it safe to remove it or rename it? The site was down for almost an hour, so I’m concerned.

    Thanks!!

    For the past few days we are experiencing issues with the Advanced Layout Editor on the latest version of the Enfold theme, preventing us from editing content on all pages of our website (http://www.stayorlandovacations.com). While you can view the website without any issues, the automatic upgrade to WP 4.0 by our managed hosting disabled the ALE with a spinning icon that never refreshes to show the editor.

    Our questions are simple:
    1. Is there a fix (i.e. Enfold theme update compatible with WP 4.0) being worked on and by when we can expect this to be resolved?
    2. Is it better to downgrade to 3.9.2 or should we just “sit tight” until the fix is released?
    3. Was this issue preventable (other than avoiding the upgrade of future WP versions)?

    We are in dire need to make updates to our website and would appreciate any information you can provide to resolve this issue and restore the Advanced Layout Editor functionality.

    Thanks!

    My apologies in advance for asking a question I bet you’ve gotten a million times, but is there a section in the documentation that offers a step-by-step guide on how to replicate some of the things seen in the demo?

    For example, I’d like to better understand how to do this:
    http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/transparent-header/

    And this:
    http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/images-with-hotspots/

    Many thanks for your time, assistance and patience.

    Cheers,

    Enfold UberMenu is non-Responsive/Adaptive (sub-menus) don’t show on iPhone 5c

    When on our site – click on ‘business tech support’ menu to see sub-menu… However a sub-mneu doesn’t appear on an iPhone 4s, or iPhone 5c… How may I see the cool adaptive ‘list’ sub-menus as I saw (on iPhones) with the Enfold demo? Thanks for your insight with this.

    Hello,

    After I’ve updated to wordpress 4.0 the settingspanel of the theme-options are missing. Normally I’m using a child-theme, but even if I activate enfold itself, I’m still missing the settingspanel.

    Does anyone have a clue how this can be fixed?

    Regards,

    Erwin

    I updated to WordPress 4.0 and installed Enfold 2.9.2 but something appears to be going wrong. A number of warnings appear in my dashboard and the front end of the website loses all of its styling and formatting.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the theme numerous times, both through the dashboard and via FTP. Same issue arises every time.

    Please could you take a look at the site and check I’ve not missed anything?

    Since 4.0 can’t access Enfold menu items, site seems to be running correctly otherwise. Error is as follows:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/content/14/10409514/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/css/page.php on line 1

    Could it be Page.php is corrupt? I can’t seem to find a download to overwrite the file.

    Please advise.

    Jeff

    @rgbozeat

    I didn’t see the update for Enfold in my admin until I entered my Themeforest purchase code or something in a section of the Enfold theme options. It was only after I did that, that the update for the theme popped up.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    In reply to: Pricing Table

    Hi!

    Can you post the link to your page where you have pricing table?
    Have you imported dummy data? If you did, you can edit the page called “Pricing” and see how that pricing table was made. Please also see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-advanced-layout-editor/

    In reply to: Avia Menu

    Hey!

    I’m still not seeing the font-face reference in the source of the menu-reference.php page. You need to wrap that in a style element inside the head tag:

    <style>
    @font-face {font-family: 'entypo-fontello'; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;
    src: url('http://www.wingwire.com/blog/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.eot?v=3');
    src: url('http://www.wingwire.com/blog/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.eot?v=3#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),
    url('http://www.wingwire.com/blog/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.woff?v=3') format('woff'),
    url('http://www.wingwire.com/blog/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.ttf?v=3') format('truetype'),
    url('http://www.wingwire.com/blog/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.svg?v=3#entypo-fontello') format('svg');
    } #top .avia-font-entypo-fontello, body .avia-font-entypo-fontello, html body [data-av_iconfont='entypo-fontello']:before{ font-family: 'entypo-fontello'; }
    </style>

    Please note that this is not how Enfold is meant to be used (WP installation), therefore support for this case is very limited.
    Best regards,
    Josue

    No creo que salga un nuevo tema en el futuro cercano, sin embargo la version 3.0 de Enfold ya esta pronta :)

    Dear Josue,

    Thank you for your help. I do have the latest version of WordPress but I don’t have the latest version of Enfold. Do you happen to have a step-by-step tutorial on how to update it?

    Thanks so much!

    Hey guys,

    Our team updated to WordPress 4.0 and now the WordPress dashboard for the theme is acting funky. In the Enfold Theme Options I cannot see all the options that usually appear on the left hand. How do I resolve this? I tried to reinstall the theme but said it cannot overwrite the files. Do I have to manually copy and paste the files via ftp on my server?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
