Hey MaartenL!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Unfortunately, you can’t set a specific width for the table rows and column. The size of the rows will depend on the size of the content. The table is set like this to keep it responsive. You can create your table manually using html code.
Cheers!

Hi,
I’ve tried this a couple of times now (probably 5) and the enfold.zip file does not want to upload to WordPress. I purchased Enfold because I was under the impression that it is easy to install for newbies, yet I can’t get it to work. I’ve downloaded the “Installable WordPress file only” three times from Envato as well now and still nothing. The child theme uploads and installs, but not the parent.
First I tried via WordPress in my site’s admin – dashboard – tools – import but then I get the following message
“Import WordPress
Sorry, there has been an error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.”
Okay, so obviously that was wrong, so then I tried on the WordPress network admin panel – theme – add new – upload theme… And still no luck. That message:
“Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.” And so I have three more times, each time downloading the enfold.zip from themeforest and trying again…
Trying FTP is also an issue. Inside Filezilla, my live server folders are empty (says Empty directory), so can’t place Enfold inside the WP theme folder.
When going through my cPanel, under my public_html folder through File manager, I can in fact find the relevant WP_content – theme folder, so naturally I uploaded and extracted the enfold.zip there. Now all the enfold files and folders shows up, but it has no effect when I go to my WordPress site. Under themes, it still doesn’t show. In Filezilla, it also doesn’t show.
As WP newbie, this is very frustrating, especially when I thought this is a simple upload and install theme.
Please help!
I have no idea where I went wrong…unless it’s a problem with the Enfold wordpress zip folder…
Cheers,
Willem
Hey geostru!
Thank you for using Enfold.
You can create a custom widget area on Appearance > Widgets. Choose this as the sidebar of a specific post on Layout > Sidebar Setting. This will be a bit difficult to manage if you have a lot of posts. If you’re looking to dynamically edit the sidebar for each posts, I’m sorry but we won’t be able to help you with that.

Ismael
Hi!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Please regenerate the shortcode but this time, place the portfolio grid element inside a 1/1 column.
Best regards,
Ismael
I need to change the body text font to Arvo over my entire website. I have managed to change “Heading Font” to Arvo in the pull down menue under “General Styling”. However, no Arvo is available in the “Defines the Font for your body text” pull down menue.
How can I change the body text to Arvo for the entire site using Enfold 3.0.2 and WP 4.0?
BR
Lars
Hi jdygas!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Why is it located on the wp-includes folder? Please try to use the absolute url or directory name of the fonts. Something like:
http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/fonts/lust.ttf
Best regards,
Ismael
Hey!
I’m not sure what you want to improve on the author page but you can edit the author.php, includes > loop-author.php and includes > loop-about-author.php file if you want to change or add any modifications. If you want a sidebar on this pages, you can enable it on Enfold > Sidebar Settings > Sidebar on Archive Pages. I’ll ask Josue to take a look.
Cheers!

Hi j1980mac!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Please edit the Grid Row element then look for the Mobile Behaviour setting. Choose the first one or the default option.
Cheers!
Ismael
Hey!
Thank you for the update.
Please post a screenshot of what you’re trying to create. Use imgur, dropbox, clipular etc. You can add a background image on Enfold > General Styling > Body Background panel if you’re using the boxed layout.
Best regards,
Ismael
OK then thanks Josue!
Made the change in /enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/portfolio.php – line 386, and it works perfectly :)
Thank you again.
Regards,
Marie
Hey harmrietmeijer!
Thank you for using Enfold.
I checked the site but I don’t see any issue on the layer slider. It looks good.
Cheers!

Hey DaveL77!
Thank you for using Enfold.
1.) Add this on Quick CSS or custom.css:
#commentform label {
position: absolute;
left: 10px;
font-size: 11px;
top: 0;
}
2.) No, you can’t add a pop up error message without creating a custom script. Unfortunately, this particular task is beyond the scope of support, please hire a freelance developer for further customization or try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-ajaxify-comments/

Ismael

Hi!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Unfortunately, you can’t constrain the grid row element on the main container. It will always be full width unless you use the boxed layout. What you can do is to add a custom css class on the grid row element: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/
Specify the width of the grid on different screen sizes using media queries.
Cheers!

Hey mpaska!
Thank you for using Enfold.
I was able to reproduce the issue on an iPod. The captions fields are not working but I can drag and sort the gallery items without any problem. Working on desktop and iPad is not the same. There are limitations on the admin interface when you’re working with WordPress using an iPad. Even the WordPress App is fairly new and still in development. I’ll ask Kriesi to take a look.
Best regards,
Ismael
Ive updated to the latest version of enfold, afterwards my site crashed and I was unable to pull up the WP admin page. Ive tried to re-upload it multiple times. I am getting this error:
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘config-templatebuilder/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’)
wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 410
I didnt update all of my plugins before the theme update
Please advise how to fix
Hey sdbroker!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Aside from additional options and elements on the advance layout builder, the system is unchanged. We would like to see the actual website. Please post it here. Make sure that you’re running Enfold 3.0.2 and the latest version of the plugin.
Cheers!
Ismael
Hey Softwaredanmark!

Please don’t set any value on the Layers Container field located on Slider Settings > Responsive Mode.
Cheers!

Hi Courtney!
Can you post a link to the page where you have the Enfold contact form?
Best regards,
Josue
Hi!
The code that does the search thingie is located in /enfold/functions-enfold.php, line 59 (markup) and /enfold/js/avia.js, line 36 (javascript).
Best regards,
Josue
I have noticed something similar. But rather than pages malfunctioning, what I found is that the advance editor doesnt work at all. I cannot create pages. I tried adding accordions, magazines, blog grids and nothing happens. So weird. the only things that are working are the dummy pages I imported and not even then can i add this things, I am stuck using the dummy pages just the way they are. Im wondering if this is intended to be like this or if you can truly customize everything using enfold.
Ok, well, I just tried deactivating and then reactivating the Enfold theme, but again, I now have the 118 error. :( – I don’t know how to send you a screenshot, because a pastebin won’t do anything for you, especially since you should be able to view the site on your end. The problem happens between myself and the website after I start using the theme, and again, it’s only with this theme. I’ve quadruple-checked this.
I don’t know if this would help, but when I’m on the admin side, it ended up at ***domain/***wp_instance/wp-admin/admin.php?page=avia
Maybe the “avia” value is not correct?
Please help!
Hi Marie!
1. I’m afraid that’s currently a limitation of the theme, feel free to request an improvement here.
2. Add this to your theme / child theme functions.php:
function change_portfolio_title_link($title_link, $entry) {
$title_link = $entry->permalink;
return $title_link;
}
add_filter('avf_portfolio_title_link', 'change_portfolio_title_link', 10, 2);
Best regards,
Josue
Just want to know if it is possible to add a custom footer menu to enfold theme. And if so can someone point me in the right direction to someone that knows how to do this please.
Hi Josue,
No, it does not. I’ve tried other themes on that instance, and everything works fine. The problem only happens when I start using the Enfold theme. It starts out ok, but when I start creating or editing content, I get the 118 error, and it happens to the entire domain. I’m not much of a programmer or sys admin, but because it doesn’t affect other people’s views of the website (only my own), I’m thinking that something in the code changes something in my connection or how my browser calls for my connection.
On that note, when I clear the cache, that doesn’t seem to help, but the website comes back up later, in about 1/2 an hour. That’s obviously not going to work for building or maintaining a website, so I’ll need a permanent solution. Please help, because my client really wants to use this theme, but I’ll have to ask him to find another theme if we cannot actually create or maintain content.
Thank you.

Hello there, so i am new to wordpress apparently, i installed enfold and have most of my website finished. I am working with sevenspark on the ubermenu 3 and have installed their child theme to get the menu integration working smoothly. I am wanting to reinstall the adult theme and all if any css changes i might have made to it however, i do not want to destroy the 100’s of hours of work i have already put into the site. What would be the best way about doing this?
This website is going to be the foundation of a multisite for a rapidly increasing franchise. Also, is there any web developers for franchises and WP Mutlisite that you could recommend to me? thanks
Hi
Is there an element for scrolling text as I cannot seem to find an example on Enfold? I want the text to run right to left across the screen
Thanks

Hey guys,
I’m building out a site using Enfold and am noticing a weird set of dashes right underneath the slider image on this page:
http://switchthread.com/rooms/
I can’t figure out what is causing it and how to make it go away. Any help would be appreciated.
