Also, when searching for blog posts by category or tag it shows the full post instead of an excerpt with a read more tag. Where would I set that? I was looking through other posts but couldn’t find anything specific for Enfold’s excerpt length for categories.

First, I am loving Enfold, thank you for an awesome theme!
I am pretty new to WP and this whole website thing so this might be something I’m doing wrong but I seem to be having continuous problems with Enfold and my settings.I have spent two full days searching online, your forums, etc. for answers and I have clicked on literally everything within WP and played with all of the settings and I’m stuck.
I can’t seem to get my sidebars to appear correctly and I can’t get the navigation pages on the bottom to disappear.

Hi,
is there a way to style the standard search box in Enfold? Here’s what I would like to do:
1) Increase the height of the search box
2) Make the placeholder text more visible (i.e. darker color, bigger font size)
3) Let the placeholder text disappear on focus (i.e. when I place the mouse cursor in the search box)Also, a minor issue – the search box on our homepage (infotropic.ru) is not vertically centered within the video background section. I did add the search box via a widget module. Didn’t have that issue with a text module.

there are i guess mac and pc versions of it.load your language which you want to handle. ( folder: “lang” e.g. nl_NL.po)
see the menu in poedit there is in German (Katalog) perhaps this is called Catalog in english – choose actualize from pot file
choose the enfold.pot (english original)
than you can see that only 30% of 2571 texts are translated. ! (in dutch)
now you can make here your own translations – search for “hour”save the new file ( poedit will generate automatically the .mo file) both nl_NL.po and nl_NL.mo you can upload to your theme in the lang folder.
But the way of Yigit is quiet faster if you only want to change some translations.

Hi,
Just noticed that after the new v3.0.2 update Yoast SEO no longer sees the contend on pages built with the template builder. Under the SEO General tab Yoast reports the following: Content: Content Analysis disabled since it does not work with complex layout building tools.
In addition, under the SEO Page Analysis tab, Yoast no longer sees the keyword in the headings and also in the body. It still counts the words but for some reason cannot see the keyword.
As a result, the last few days I have seen some pages of my site to display the page’s URL as the title on the Google results instead of the page’s title that is set on SEO.
Everything was working perfect up until the v2.8.1 update and then it seems that Enfold has become very SEO unfriendly with many compatibilities with both Yoast & All In One SEO plugins.
Can you please check this and advice? Is this SEO issue going to be soon fixed? My site had been on the top 3 search results for the past 8 or so years for most of my keywords up until the 2.9 update when all of a sudden it started falling between the 2nd and 4th page.
I love the way that my site looks and thankfully I haven’t experienced almost any of the issues that I read here after updates, but at the end of the day it’s a business site and I cannot afford it when it’s not on the top of the search results because of the latest SEO issues.

GeorgeThat worked! but it took me a little to figure it out, I basically had to go and add tags to all my posts, next time will be useful to tell people they have to add tags.
There are a couple of other things that I want to improve. I have broken them down. I apologize before hand if its too much and I thank you guys for taking the time. I find this to be much easier in the long run that posting one by one.
1. How do you add the second menu bar with the categories on blog grid? It does appear on Masonry Blog but I was hoping to add it to Blog Grid

3. I noticed that when you are in a blog there are 2 arrows that show the next and previous post, when you hover over them, they open and show you an image with the name of the next post. How do you do this on mobile?

I was also wondering if you guys provide drop caps8. How do you make the spacing between lines bigger? Is there anyway to change the style in the css to alter the font size as well as the spacing? if so where do i search for the line and what do i do?
I know I can do that if i install a plugin but I will have to do that for every single post. I already tried advance styling and it didn’t work properly because you can only change headings and menu links in there.
I had a couple of other issues but for some weird reason they got fixed after I imported the demo files for the new blog demo overwriting my current theme options. And then importing once again the enfold theme files.
For some reason, the wysiwyg editor stopped working when editing blog posts. The content area appears white/blank. However, there’s still a word count, so in fact it’s not empty – I guess.
I can’t say when it stopped working exactly. What I do know is I disabled the toolbar in my profile settings yesterday, so I could view the website in the same browser without seeing the admin top menu. And enabled it again today.
I’ve searched Google as well as the forum here at Kriesi, and found some useful info (like this http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-white-text-and-missing-buttons-in-wordpress-visual-editor), but nothing seems to solve my issue.
Can it be caused by the latest update of the Enfold theme?

I think you’ll need to edit the file itself, open /enfold/functions-enfold.php and look for line 173:

My pleasure Yigit. I was really concerned that I might have to abandon Enfold but I’m really pleased this works. I can’t believe I’m the only one affected by the MOD_SECURITY setting, so maybe you should consider making the problem/solution part of the knowledge base so a search finds it.

So i started checking some other domains with Enfold, out of curiosity…begun somewhere within a site in Enfold Showcase.
starts above with a sentence in the upper topbar left and has some iconlinks rightsided (linkedin, twitter, facebook,google+).
The site does use Yoast seo-plugin, with written “description”:
“TFG provides executive recruiting and consulting services to the Technology, Consumer Products and Services, and Professional Service sectors.”
If you now lookup the homepage in google searchresults, the “description” is:
“New Executive Opportunities posted… LinkedIn · Twitter · Facebook · Google + · The Ferneborg Group. 650-577-0100 info@ execsearch.com. Menu. What We …”
Or…also Yoast doesn’t also work at all?? and if it is caused by a conflict, Enfold or Google: social icons are sure not something you want in your homepage description.In reply to: Page specific menu items and the search results page

I have customized the mobile Menu of enfold to show the header area. Result is live here:
cop-morrien.deDue to client request I added a search icon to the mobile-header. The search Icon links to the search-field
in the sidebar (under the main-content in mobile view). Everything works fine so far. The only thing, that I can not manage to get to work is the following case:
When the menu is open and the user clicks the search icon in the header (next to the mobile menu toggle icon) I want the menu to hide and the page to scroll to the search field. The scroll does work, but I can not get the menu to hide at the same time.This is my code in js > avia.js (which I have copied to my child theme):

Topic: Mobile Menue did not show up
Hi there, I installed Enfold to an existing WordPress Installation. Everything worked properly except of the mobile menue. As soon I resize the Browser to mobile size, the menue disappears. So in mobile view there’s no menue at all.
Of course I tried the forum search and tried different things, i.e. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/mobile-menu-is-missing/. Here I got at least a mobile menue, but it still doesn’t work. I just got the menue icon, but nothings happens while mouseover or a click.
I deactivated all plugins and just updated the theme to version 3.0.2 (via FTP) – but there’s still no working mobile menue.Need some advice please.

I (like many other Enfold customers) have had problems with the latest WP update.
It has been impossible to use the advance editor (it just keeps spinning around), we can’t change back to the default editor, can’t make changes in the ‘Enfold’ area etc.
I’ve tried:
* Updating the theme (following the video) with plugins enabled
* Disabling all plugins (clearing the cache, refreshing the page etc)
* Then re-enabling plugins
* Updating the theme with all plugins disabled via ftp
NONE of the above in any order fixed the issue.I’ve then tried searching for the answer in the forums and came across somewhere where they recommended editing the wp-config file. I did this and now the website is completely down and I can’t even log into WP. This is the same in all browser versions.
Please help!!!! This is kind of urgent now!!!!
We’re running Sensei 3.0.2 now btw but we’re having issues with the ‘course progress’ plug-in:
http://www.woothemes.com/products/sensei-course-progressIt’s worked fine but since upgrading to Sensei 3.0.1 it doesn’t appear correctly and it looks like it’s because it’s trying to use ‘Font Awesome’. I’ve reinstalled this font using the Enfold Font installer but no cigar.

(1) first of, a big thank you to you and the whole Kriesi team. I can’t say it better: the support team is great, ALWAYS here and this buys a peace of mind found nowhere else.

(4) Your remarks are correct and the code will be cleansed, and way cleaner. Let us say that I adapt to new requirements and search a lot. Cleaning up a few pages will be easier after
(5) To me, the main issue with this ticket is using firefox (FF). To fix that, I simply use Chrome and there is nothing to complain about – for me at least.
So we all keep this going. The Enfold theme may experience some little issues when there is a big release or WP upgrade but this is something we should all expect when we release something new in the blue and get feedback. I do accept that part of the game. And whatever problem we have, Kriesi always fixes it nicely. So. Enfold is like a present, and we should take it like that. Sometimes people do not realize how much they get for so little money. All my friends to whom I recommended Enfold started or switched to WordPress because of this theme. It empowers us to make many things possible.I have sent this request in several times this week and I’m not getting any responses. I need some help here. If this is your support mechanism, then please help.
We just upgraded to the latest version of the Enfold theme and I’m having issues with the the social media and search icons not appearing in the themes header and footer. It just shows the text.

I want to display last modified date in page source for microdata. But don’t want to reflect same on the front view. Means search engine can read the last modified date through microdata ‘itemprop’ tags but user should not see the last modified date.How can i do this ?
