• Hey nulrick,

1.) As I’ve written in your other post about this: seems this plugin is not compatible with Enfold. Ask plugin’s author for help about it or search for another one.

2.) Link doesn’t work for me. I see a blank page. However, this is default behavior. Only those images get loaded, which are also visible on your page.

Best regards,
Andy

Hi,

as we can’t provide support for 3rd party plugins, it would be best to talk about this with plugin’s author. But seems that this plugin is not compatible with Enfold and in this case it’s best to search for another lightbox plugin. However, maybe the author has a solution for you.

Best regards,
Andy

Hello,

is there a way to change the layout of a single post?

I searched forum and found:

Enfold already allows users to design Blog and Single blog pages using Advanced Layout Builder :)

And i managed to build my own blog page – but i failed to find the ‘Single blog pages’ Editor.

Can someone please point me to the right direction?

Hi Rikard,

Greetings from Skaune :)
I just want to confirm that Rikards method worked. I downloaded the theme files from Themeforest and updated it through FTP. Somehow the bug mentioned in my first post was removed. Know blog entries show up correctly depending on the category of post entries I choose.

PS: I haven’t tried all categories yet but it worked for a few so I assume it works for the rest. Otherwise, I update with a post here for further research.

Thanks, Rikard and the rest of the Enfold-team for helping out fast.

Just finished searching the web and it looks like this is a fairly well known problem.. and have been in the fourm many times.. I followed the fix and removed the line by going into Enfold and following the step by step and it did remove that line.. but now it will take me months to get rid of 20,000 urls that google is now carrrying around in his knap sack…But Thanks for your response..

Hi guys,

Here’s how to implement AMP and it looks amazing with Enfold. Just a couple of adjustments would be awesome. I list them below.

Here’s the page with amp (You can see it without by removing /amp/)

http://argen-travel.com/how-do-argentineans-eat/amp/

Install AMP by Automattic and Activate. Nothing else to do but on every step, verify the URL with the Amp Validator. It has to pass.

Now install AMP for WP Plugin, activate and set it up (it adds formatting, Analytics, Ads! and social sharing!)

I love that you can pick a different menu for AMP and that you can modify the order in which the elements of the page are presented to the viewer.

I had barely tweaked anything.

I tested inserting a Slider and on the amp version the images come out with dots in between – I then tried the Gallery and if you avoid choosing Thumbnail size for the bottom images, the only thing left is that the first image repeats.

I will test another slider with text for each slide and see what it looks like.

All in all, it’s really sweet and it all passes validator. I tested Glue for Yoast and it failed validator. Not needed. I will update in a week with Google Search Console feedback.

Cheers!!! :)

Warmly,
Havi

Hi
I have Enfold installed in all my websites (I have purchased the theme for each domain).
On my new site I cannot seem to install the child theme. Please advice.

I have created a separate folder called
enfold-child and uploaded it via filezilla. It contains a style.css file with the following content:

Solved (for now), BUT . . .

By searching your Support Archives for other instances of the error message “ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS” I found a 2012 post about this being caused by a “Custom” setting for Permalinks. When I looked at my site I found, to my surprise, that I had a “custom” setting. I did not create it. It was:

[http://URL.TLD]/’/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/’

I changed that to “Numeric,” saved it, reloaded the site and the problem had cleared. I can now view Portfolio Items as expected.

This is good, BUT — I did not set up that “CUSTOM” permalink structure. Presumably that was a default of either Enfold or the imported demo data, or both. Obviously that’s a problem if you set, by default, a value that corrupts your functionality.

I also wonder if this problem is only for this particular custom structure, or for any “custom” permalink structure. If the latter, that’s not good, as customizing permalink structure can be a legitimate part of SEO work.

Hello,

I’m looking at changing from Enfold to another them from Kriesi because even after updating Enfold, I’m having issues like the new menu doesn’t show up on my iphone and the old menu and cart would cover up part of the site title. Also, can you delete this post and my previous posts as they show up on Google search ? Thanks

Ok thank you.
So do I still use the search from enfold in the menu area but just have this plugin and add that code – is that correct?

Also how can I get the search to appear on mobile view it’s not showing?

Seems odd though that your search lists hidden things though – that shouldn’t happen.
Cheers

I purchased Enfold primarily for the portfolio functionality. It is not working, with your Demo data or with my own data. Any idea why?

What happens is that while the primary portfolio page appears, clicks on individual portfolio items results in an error.

See: [privatelink]

Firefox says: The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

IE says: This page can’t be displayed: Make sure the web address [URL] is correct. Look for the page with your search engine. Refresh the page in a few minutes.

Chrome says: The [URL] page isn’t working [URL] redirected you too many times. ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Both Firefox and Chrome suggest trying to clear cookies, which I have done, to no beneficial effect.

Enfold 4.0.2 is installed into a fresh, standard WordPress 4.7.3 install. For learning and experimentation purposes it is installed at an otherwise dormant domain, hosted at Bluehost. I imported the Photography Portfolio Demo. I have been making and maintaining WordPress websites for about 10 years.

Thank You

Hey xfacta,

Please consider using a more advanced plugin such as this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/. You can find implementation here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/use-relevanssi-in-search-instead-of-the-default-search/

Hi,

that won’t be possible. You would need to search for a plugins with such a function. This is what I see on the link you’ve provided: http://i.imgur.com/2b35hPc.png, which looks fine to me and which is the way Enfold is working.
You could also hire a freelance developer for any kind of customization you’re planning: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

In reply to: Re-style mobile menu

Hi,

Thanks for the login. It’s done, I have added this code in Quick CSS (located in Enfold > General Styling):

@media only screen and (max-width:767px) {
#top #advanced_menu_toggle {
border-color: #fff;
}
}

Then in functions.php I searched for this code:
'mobile_menu' => array( 'font' =>'entypo-fontello', 'icon' => 'ue8a5'),
and replaced it with:
'mobile_menu' => array( 'font' =>'entypo-fontello', 'icon' => 'ue811'),
Hope this helps :)

Cheers!

Hi,
does anybody know these plugin works with Enfoldor or not?
https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-product-filter/8514038?ref=dzeriho

Because we want to build a small Shop for Car Parts and need a filter like this:
Filter

Also we need a plugin for a search form which we can costumize more than the default WordPress search form.

Thankfully

In reply to: Search Icon with text

Hey Luisgasser,

Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

#menu-item-search a:after {
content: ' Search';
font-size: 14px;
}

Best regards,
Yigit

I have other functions in my child functions.php and I have a few custom templates so I would prefer to keep my child theme as it is.

My goal was to make a few modifications to the “Enfold Child Latest News:” widget since I need it to behave a bit differently when it shows posts of category “research” than it does when I show posts of category “news” (specifically – no date for research)

Same here

I’ve rolled back to an earlier version as I absolutely need mobile caching enabled.

However, some of you may be interested in what I just found out with Enfold 4.0.2 applied.
When I went to Google Search Console and selected ‘Fetch as Google’ I noticed that a rendered page did NOT show anything below the fold. This means that if you see this issue all your content will not be seen by Google.
And we all know how bad that can be right?

I posed the question to one of the senior Webmaster forum members (on private email) and he confirmed that what you see in the ‘rendered’ display pane is all Google will crawl. Nothing more.

I found this to be the case WITHOUT any caching enabled from WP-Rocket. I may be the only one affected so I cannot say what the cause would be; but a roll back to 3.8.5 and WP-Rocket enabled gets me back to everything working just fine.
Hope the devs have a fix soon.

Just hope that makes everyone check that their pages are rendering in the ‘Fetch as Google’ tool correctly (ie scrolling down the whole page). Hope this isn’t linked to the 4.0.2 problem we are discussing here?

Photos here: Before and after Fetch as Google

Cheers

Hello,

I have a blog here: http://bit.ly/2lFbMzV

And I have some blog posts already but I noticed, that google indexes my blog category and tag pages also, which are displayed in the google search results: http://bit.ly/2mpxJlx

Do I need to change something manually in the Enfold blog setting for that?

Can you please help me with that, as I only want the post itself to get indexed in the search results.

Thanks!

Hi,
I searched the forum, but I can’t find a solution.
I just want a page with a Slider then i like to choose a pagetemplate (for example BLANK) and then display this page (with a Layer Slider) as a iframe on another webpage. I tried this with the blank theme and hidden enfold elements (Sidebar, Header etc) but i get a white space at the top and this moves the slider down and “outside” the iframe.
Hope you can send me a template.php file like this one DOWNLOAD: http://d.pr/f/gkV7 you have provided for another user. BUT there is a hardcoded weblink in it that i dont need.
Thanks for your help

Hi Rikard
stacking when the images starts to scale doesnt work cause that would be on around 1200px and this much to early.

Can you please tell me more about your other idea (“add it as a background to the element“)?

Are there some other possible ways to get that done? (Would it be an idea to disable the scaling on the image?)

And….
here i set up a testpage for learning / research purposes:

As you see its just a simple textbox & the image from Enfold – no interfereces with Ubermenu or other Plugis or so.
Can you please tell me:
Where in Enfold is the breakpoint defined that makes the textbox stack over the image?

Kind Regards Martin

Hey Rio1,

maybe this one could help:

Otherwise you need to search for a plugin with such a function or hire a freelance developer who can implement such customization for you.

Hi MattDalli,

In you enfold_child.css add this rules:

.header_color a:hover span.ajax_search_title, .header_color a:hover span.ajax_search_excerpt {
color: #fff !important;
}

Let me know if this was helpful.

Hi Shorty05!

Thank you for using Enfold.

Do you want to display only one product category in the breadcrumb? Please add this in the functions.php file:

staging on WP Engine should not have caching issues…its purposefully setup to avoid that…

I’ve attached a screenshot of the same post, not only on WPE staging, but with Chrome Incognito…

When I searched on Safari and Firefox, it was the first time those browsers had been to this site…hadn’t even opened those programs in months as I ONLY use Safari & FF for testing…so I don’t believe its caching on the client side…nor do I think its on the server side…

And this appears to be widespread. Plus, we rolled back Enfold on the live site so we could complete the work and once we rolled back everything works fine on live.

We have instructed our team to stop upgrading Enfold until y’all can find a solution.

Hi!

Sorry for the late reply!

Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/grid-style-search-results-with-sidebar/

For more advanced search, please use a plugin such as this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/. You can find instructions how to implement it here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/use-relevanssi-in-search-instead-of-the-default-search/

Hi,

Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

.search-result-counter img {
border-radius: 0!important;
}
.search-result-counter {
width: 80px;
height: 80px;
}
#top .template-search.content .entry-content-wrapper {
padding-left: 90px;
}

Best regards,
Yigit

Hi, everyone

I got a problem on Iconfont Manager. First I go to Fontello website download my custom icon font pack, and use enfold Iconfont Manager to upload the icon font pack. But I got a error msg: “Couldn’t add the font because the server didn’t respond. Please reload the page, then try again”.

Then I search forum and find this post have the same problem: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/icon-font-manager-3/

I have the same error message from debug mode: “PHP Fatal error: Class ‘ZipArchive’ not found in /home/rolence/public_html/jennifer/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/font-manager.class.php on line 117”.

I go to check my web server phpinfo (http://www.beautyseeker.net/jennifer/phpinfo.php) to check “ZipArchieve” is enabled or not. It seems already enabled from my phpinfo page.

So now I can’t figure out where the problem is? or I miss something?

Hope anyone can help? Thanks!!
