    I have installed a child theme after all, because it was super easy to do, and imported the parent settings. Everything works great. But… the php code still doesn’t work in functions.php in the child theme.

    I first tried the code from the Enfold documentation page:

    I’ve tried many suggestions on this forum to disable the tooltip with the image title, when hovering over an image. A.o. in these topics:

    I like using hotspot-tooltips. Unfortunatly, the text is not visible in the backend which makes it impossible to maintain or order longer lists. I have between 15 to 43 items per picture. Imagine you need to change something in the textbox and need to find the correct text field if everything is just called “Hotspot”. Could you please either preview the first text part or show the item number. This would be really important. Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the screenshot.

    That is the default tooltip (or title popover) provided by the browser, and unfortunately, it cannot be directly modified or customized. Browsers generate this tooltip automatically from the title attribute of an element, and its appearance and behavior are controlled by the browser itself.

    Hi! We have a client who is creating a map with a lot of tooltips (1000+) to chronicle where his career has taken him. He seems to have added so many that it’s stopping the element’s editor from loading when he’s trying to work on the page. Is there anything we can do to fix this, either in Enfold files or Siteground Optimizer? Thanks!

    Thank you for the update.

    The implementation above relies on the “data-copy” attribute, which cannot be added to any builder elements. You may need to manually copy the HTML into a code or text block. If you need it to look like a default builder button, you can try this html:

    I need to create a small gallery to copy some URL codes. What is the best approach for this?

    Simple example.

    I create an icon or icon box with a clipboard button.
    Hover over the clipboard icon button and it displays a tooltip that says “copy”.
    Click the icon, it copies a text and it displays a tooltip with “copied”.
    And then you can paste that wherever you need.

    Using a tooltip script (tooltip JS and jQuery) uses something like this.

    The behavior is very strange because it only occurs on some devices (mainly Android with Chrome browser).

    I confirm, there are no links within the flipbox elements.

    For the moment I solved it by changing the elements from flipbox to tooltip.

    Let me know if you find the problem that triggers that abnormal behavior on the flipbox.

    Danke für Deine Antwort. Allerdings hätte ich ja gerne nen Tooltip beim hovern, sonst hätte ich es ja nicht versucht auszufüllen. Da es auf einer anderen Seite funktioniert, liegt hier ja ein Bug vor, den ich (so oder so) gerne beseitigt hätte.

    But you’re already right – it’s actually superfluous here.
    Unless you choose the option here – assign link to icon only.
    Then the tooltip is different from the title of the icon box ;)

    So in this case it makes sense – if this is not desired, simply do not fill it in, but leave the title as with content.

    Es sei denn du wählst hier die Option – link nur dem Symbol zuordnen.
    Dann ist der Tooltip ein anderer als der Title der Symbolbox ;)

    Also für diesen Fall ist es sinnvoll – wenn das nicht gewünscht ist eben einfach nicht ausfüllen, sondern den Titel wie bei Inhalt belassen.

    thx for your quick feedback….

    After much trial and error, I found the bug responsible… it was a code I found here in the support to hide titles on hover (for function.php):

    Hide image title on hover no longer working

    Apparently this code also deactivates all hover actions that have to do with a tooltip… even the tooltip for the icon element was no longer displayed on hover!

    But I found another code from Guenni007:

    Hide image title, etc. on hover

    With this titles are no longer displayed on hover WITHOUT deactivating tooltips of the “Image with hotpots”

    Thx to the Enfold team AND everyone – especially Guenni007 – who shares their knowledge here with us non-programmers 👍🏻
    So this problem is solved for now… hopefully

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Looks like the tooltip element is not being created for some reason. What is the current version of the theme? Please make sure to update the theme to version 5.7.1. If the issue persists after the update, try temporarily disabling the plugins, then toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings.

    no tooltip appears on my image hotspots and I have no idea why.
    I even tried the image with hotspots on another server with a “clean website” and again no tooltip appears on mouse hover.

    Only if I select that the tooltip should always be displayed it is visible.

    Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

    Hi, I’m trying to add Active Campaign forms to my website using the advanced editor code block but they’re breaking the page.

    There are two embed options: a one-line “simple embed” and a “full embed code.” I need to use the full embed code so I can customize the form. (both snippets pasted at end of this message).

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You can add this css code to unset the maximum height of the tooltip:

    max-height: none !important;
}

    Please make sure to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css.

    Tooltip works well on large screens, but if the text is a bit longer than the heigh of for example a telephonet it falls outside the borders on phones when you scroll down to read the whole text.

    I use a codeblock with

    I tried to solve it in the quick CSS but cannot find the solution

    Thank you for the link to your site, on your first level menu items they are blue until mouse-over then they are yellow, but the backend of the second level is already yellow so what colors do you want the mouse-over and active page second level menu items to be?
    mobile devices don’t have a mouse-over function, if you want the first level active menu items to have a yellow background you could try this CSS in your Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field:

    but second level mobile menu items all share the same background color.
    To add the header image to your category pages try the Unique Headers plugin.
