    Hi,
    Sorry for the late reply, I copied your post /learning-spanish-101/ to my localhost and matched your blog and theme settings, and your Simple Image Size plugin settings, and once I regenerated my thumbnails the featured image was not cropped, Please see the screenshot in Private Content area. So seeing that this worked I then tried to regenerate your thumbnails but the process seemed to lock up without any errors, so I tried uploading a new copy of the featured image and choose it for your post and the new image was not cropped. I believe this is going to work for you for future posts, please try creating a new test post and upload a new featured image to check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    The default Woocommerce Shop page displays all the main categories as thumbnails in our shop, but cannot be modified using the builder.

    The Enfold advice is to create a separate page with a product grid. So far no problem, However.: How can I create a product grid that displays displays thumbnails of all main level categories in my shop like Woocommerce does? Am I overlooking something easy?

    Hey GBT135,

    The bigger your images the sharper they will look. Many of our shortcodes have a “image size” option which you can set to a large thumbnail or even “No Scaling” to display the image in it’s original dimensions. This will increase the download time of your site though as users will have to download large images.

    I have this error and enfold showing loading image for while. I am pretty sure it’s enfold function problem, because i tested on another template and it was working fine. I have 4.0.4 version. I tried to update it on admin panel but it only shows latest version for me. I really wont renew Enfold license for it, Also I dont want to replace my site theme. Is there any way to fix it?.

    My WordPress is 5.3 and WooCommerce is 3.8.1. Enfold is 4.0.4

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The horizontal gallery is using the large thumbnail for its lightbox by default. You have to adjust the size of the thumbnail in the Settings > Media panel. Please don’t forget to regenerate the thumbnails after the adjustment, or upload the images again.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    In reply to: Featured image size

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The theme should automatically resize the featured image to 835x321px. Did you change the size of the “entry_without_sidebar” thumbnail? Please try to remove the image from the media library, then upload it again.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Add the plugin called ” Simple Image Sizes ” will help you to edit all those with no code. After this, remember to re-generate thumbnails always.

    And then scroll down to the horizontal gallery. These pictures are all not sharp.
    I also regenerated the thumbnails.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the login, I believe that your featured images in the Simple Image Sizes plugin are actually one of these:
    featured size
    featured_large size
    both of these say cropping “yes”, please try changing these, and please remember to use the “Thumbnail regeneration” option to see your changes.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    im confused that i get reply from ‘ magniumthemes ‘ a bit :)
    anyway, i’ve opened functions php and code structure is much difference than your on screenshot
    so i changed this:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] 		 	= array('width'=>700, 'height'=>600  , 'crop' => false);						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured_large'] 		= array('width'=>700, 'height'=>630  , 'crop' => false);						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['extra_large'] 		 	= array('width'=>700, 'height'=>600 , 'crop' => false);	// images for fullscrren slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] 		 	= array('width'=>495, 'height'=>400 );						// images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio_small'] 		= array('width'=>260, 'height'=>185 );						// images for portfolio 4 columns
    $avia_config['imgSize']['gallery'] 		 		= array('width'=>845, 'height'=>684 );						// images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config['imgSize']['magazine'] 		 	= array('width'=>710, 'height'=>375 );						// images for magazines
    $avia_config['imgSize']['masonry'] 		 		= array('width'=>705, 'height'=>705 , 'crop' => false);		// images for fullscreen masonry
    $avia_config['imgSize']['entry_with_sidebar'] 	= array('width'=>845, 'height'=>700) , 'crop' => false;		            	// big images for blog and page entries

    rebuilded thumbnails but they are still same size on post

    #1163662

    Should I regenerate the thumbnails again?
    Best,
    Harry

    #1163567

    Hi,
    Thank you for the login, I took a look and your background-image and found that your site was using a 200×300 thumbnail instead of the full image so I corrected this and added this css into your Quick CSS:

    html.html_boxed {
        background-size: cover !important;
    }

    I also tried correcting your logo background-image, please clear your browser cache and check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    Thank you for following up.

    You can find them in the functions.php file around line 181 — that is where the thumbnails are registered. The names of the thumbnails, the comments and their designation are fairly self-explanatory.

    $avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] 			 	= array('width'=>36,  'height'=>36);						// small preview pics eg sidebar news
    $avia_config['imgSize']['square'] 		 	    = array('width'=>180, 'height'=>180);		                 // small image for blogs
    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] 		 	= array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>430 );						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured_large'] 		= array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>630 );						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['extra_large'] 		 	= array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>1500 , 'crop' => false);	// images for fullscrren slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] 		 	= array('width'=>495, 'height'=>400 );						// images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio_small'] 		= array('width'=>260, 'height'=>185 );						// images for portfolio 4 columns
    $avia_config['imgSize']['gallery'] 		 		= array('width'=>845, 'height'=>684 );						// images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config['imgSize']['magazine'] 		 	= array('width'=>710, 'height'=>375 );						// images for magazines
    $avia_config['imgSize']['masonry'] 		 		= array('width'=>705, 'height'=>705 , 'crop' => false);		// images for fullscreen masonry
    $avia_config['imgSize']['entry_with_sidebar'] 	= array('width'=>845, 'height'=>321);		            	// big images for blog and page entries
    $avia_config['imgSize']['entry_without_sidebar']= array('width'=>1210, 'height'=>423 );						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize'] = apply_filters('avf_modify_thumb_size', $avia_config['imgSize']);

    Hey FayeMcC,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You can’t remove those thumbnails, unfortunately. It’s possible before but Youtube removed or depracated the parameter that is supposed to disable it. Do you have a lot of videos in your channel? It doesn’t display in the demo because the channel where the video came from doesn’t have a lot of related videos to display.

    Related discussion.

    Hello, I’ve added the Simple Image Sizes plugin and changed entry_with_sidebar size and entry_without_sidebar size to no cropping and regenerated the thumbnails, but it does not seem to be working.

    #1162538

    Hey peterolle,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    The thumbnails are designated to specific elements or templates, generated to prevent use of larger image and help improve page load — 36x36px for small widgets, 768x435px for masonry items, 845x321px for the featured image of single entries with sidebar and so on and so forth. The thumbnails can be disabled manually if necessary.

    Hi,

    This is possible, but you have to modify the template-builder.php file directly. Add the “get_the_post_thumbnail” function somewhere in the template — location of the code depends on where you want the image to display.

    // https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_the_post_thumbnail/

    If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Thanks!

    Hi Victoria,

    Could you please let me know how to attach screenshots that I have?

    The way to reproduce the issue is to use your cell phone and navigate to Portfolio then New Homes. Click on Rincon Valley Residence. Touch one of the thumbnails a ways down (but not the first one) below the main image. You’ll see the caption appears twice – below the image and larger on top of the image. Now scroll through the images using the arrows. You’ll see the caption for the first image sticks and covers all subsequent images.

    Thank you again for your help.

    #1161988

    there is one thing that is not nice: the post-navigation thumbnails are replaced too – and that has to be avoided.
    Hard to style in the right manner.
    Maybe a short question to the plugin author could solve that issue.

    Hi

    I want to have a short video playing on my homepage as a background to the title slide. However unlike your demo, my video shows the thumbnail, then blackscreen spinning whell before then loading the video. How can i fix this? Link to page attached

    #1160689

    And here the link again:
    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=de&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaskenzauber.com%2Fevent-show%2Fausstellung%2F
    Result: 4 from 100
    Could almost not be worse – except, 3 , 2,1 or Zero.
    And there is nothing special on this URL – just a little gallery and some text.
    And this is tested at a time where the speed is good – i dont want to know what the results are at a time where i see the thumbnails crawl – like in my shown video

    And this is what Hetzner (our Hosting-Company) said

    Dear Mrs. Söhnlein,
    that’s exactly what I can’t understand. Your website is huge, the pictures are much too big for your pixel size – but this size is loaded in all my tests (we are not specially connected here, but use a standard internet connection) in the expected time.

    I don’t know the technique behind your page, so I can’t tell if these “slow” thumbnails always appear when they are created dynamically by your script.
    In this respect, your technician would have to look at this in detail:

    – thumbnail calculations take place “on-the-fly
    – there are too many thumbnails in one folder (increased Seek load for the server)
    – why are the thumbnails so extremely large for your pixel count?
    – the problem is reproducible (e.g. by loading a specific image address)

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=de&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaskenzauber.com%2Fevent-show%2Fausstellung%2F

    This shows a lot of problems
    Our server has no load, nor is it otherwise conspicuous – it delivers your extensive site during my tests without any problems.

    And the ping is confirming that it is not a server issue:

    Ping-Statistik für 78.47.73.197:
    Pakete: Gesendet = 4, Empfangen = 4, Verloren = 0
    (0% Verlust),
    Ca. Zeitangaben in Millisek.:
    Minimum = 16ms, Maximum = 17ms, Mittelwert = 16ms

    #1160605

    These thumbnails (its not frontend) needed 1 Minute and 22 seconds until they where fully loaded.

    Hi,
    Could you please let me know how to only have captions below the portfolio images when viewed on a mobile phone? The captions are showing up below (where they belong) plus also right on top of the image and obscuring it. The caption from the first thumbnail you touch becomes sticky and stays on top of all the other images you scroll through.

    If you begin viewing the portfolio by touching the first, large main photo at the top, the portfolio captions work properly. But if you begin by touching one of the thumbnails, its sticky caption obscures all subsequent images.

    We display our portfolio grid as an Ajax Portfolio.

    Thank you for your advice.

    Hi,
    images need AGES to load.
    Even a dozen thumbnails need minutes to load – you can watch them load millimeter by millimeter.
    Its a horror – my customers meanwhile complain via mail about it.

    Facts:
    Its NOT
    — the plugins (checked)
    – the server (pinged/ see video)
    – my bandwith/internet (tested / see video)

    You can see the desaster in this video:
    maskenzauber.com/temp/slow.mp4

    Or you watch the website crawl live on maskenzauber.com

    This happens since the last update

    Hello, thanks for the fast reply.

    No, sorry, in the meantime my colleague made a change…

    I need to have a white background below the thumbnails as they have a transparent background and as a result, they are shown inside a grey rectangle…
