I’m confused, why would I want to set the height for the larger image in the lightbox ? I am in need of limiting the lightbox thumbnails to a uniform height? I’ve tried a few different things but they are not working….
Sorry, it does not work fine. You had set the slider to autoplay videos. The video plays in the background before you even click on the video. If you turn off autoplay and click the video thumbnail, the video does not play, you have to click it twice just like before.
If this feature does not work, how can we disable this preview image function and just have regular video embeds?
Thanks
Hey!
The internal styling which calculates the gallery thumbnail size fails to render on your home page but I’m not sure why. For a temporary fix, you can add this on Quick CSS or custom.css to change the columns to 4:
.home #wrap_all .avia-gallery-1 .avia-gallery-thumb a {
width: 25% !important;
}
Is OK for us to disable the plugin while testing the site? The Hide My WP plugin might hinder us from accessing the site once deactivated.
Cheers!
Ismael
Hi Yigit,
Both solution doesn’t work.
1. Instead of showing the thumbnail on the left and text on the right, mine is thumbnail on center top of the next. What I want to produce is this: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/blog-element/ (Half Sized Blog Element (Single Author Style))
2. After changing the code, it still display both english and chinese post. The only thing that changed is in my magazine element, all my post title became “Home”.
Dear Sir,
I would like to do 7 deifferent gallerypage
slideshow, clicking on thumbnails changing pics and its names.
check the design: http://israelbestbrands.com/exam.jpg
Can i do that with ur theme, waiting your anwear asap!
ty,
Daniel
I am sorry but your response does not help me. The page you are looking at is not where I asked you to look.
Here is the correct page: http://www.dpassociatesuk.com/360-play.co.uk/milton-keynes/
If you go to the above link using the login I supplied and scroll down to ‘Latest News & Events’
It is the Blog Posts element and there is a square above the post title ‘Opening Times’ and another square above the title ‘Milton Keynes Charity of the Year 2014/15′. These two squares are 80 x 80 and are featured images.
The thumbnails are 80x80px or 81x81px.
If this is too difficult for you to follow then here is a link to your demo with the same thumbnail sizes:
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-single-small/
As previously explained, these are generated by the element ‘Blog Posts’.
Please look again at the screen shot link I gave earlier that shows the thumbnails and I have added a screen shot from your demo site at the top:
http://scarlettdesign.co.uk/screen-shot-kriesi.html
Please be aware that for the two solutions you have suggested I used Tools > Regen. Thumbnails to regenerate the images again and I also uploaded the featured images again manually on a new post to test.
Nothing has changed the size of the thumbnails.
It has been nearly 2 weeks since I first asked for support and I am now past the deadline that the client has set and I need your urgent attention on this please.
I just need to know what is controlling the featured image sizes (small 80 x 80 or 81 x 81 thumbnails under Blog Posts) please?
Hi!
I’m not referring to the thumbnail. Please try to follow the suggestion above. Let us know if the lightbox image change. A link to the actual page with the image will help.
Regards,
Ismael
Hi Josue
thanks for your help. I know how to hide the time/date, but wanted to know if it is possible to swap the position of the date/time stamp and excerpt on the latest portfolio widget? I’d actually like to hide the date/time and have the excerpt display under the title instead of below the thumbnail.
regarding the theme options – not sure what you mean by resaving the theme options. I have saved them many times, and cleared the cache, btu am still not seeing them displayed on my site. not sure what is happening. they display fine on the mobile.
thanks
Nancy
For your information I have taken a screenshot and created an arrow pointing to the issue
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5iuwmp1rvvx4ixv/Screenshot%202015-01-31%2010.05.33.png?dl=0
Please can you attempt to go ahead and change the number of columns? It seems stuck at 5 columns. And I can’t change it! If it was set to 4 it the 4 thumbnails would take up the full length of the row.
Hi
Check again
Latest vesion of wordpress
Standard non modified 3.0.6 enfold
Plugin folder renamed to plugins.deactivate
So no plugin conflict. Still the theme is refusing to change gallery thumbnail count and also no menu item underscore :(
Hi!
Try the following:

i’ve another question. First i had Abundance and then i switched to Enfold regenerating thumbnails. Is it normal that i’ve 13 different copies of the same image in every wp-content/uploads folders?

Hey!
It’s probably some customization you have done in the child theme then. Are you overriding the /includes/loop-index.php template? That is where the code is to display the caption on line 78.
//preview image description
$desc = get_post( get_post_thumbnail_id() ) -> post_excerpt;
$featured_img_desc = ( $desc != null ) ? $desc : the_title_attribute( 'echo=0' );
Cheers!
Elliott
Thank you Ismael but I don’t want the thumbnail resized.
I want the image in the lightbox to be larger or I want to be able to zoom in to it.
How can I achieve that?
Hi Elliott!
i mean this:

it affects also category layout.. previusly the installation of Enfold, i’ve resized all my product images with max size 850 x 850 and after installation i’ve regenerate thumbnails with “regenerate thumbnails” plugin with the default setting inserted in woocommerce

Nic

Hi absurdity69!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Try to increase the size of the Large thumbnail on Settings > Media panel then regenerate the thumbnails using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Regards,
Ismael
Hi!
After you adjust the width and height of the thumbnails, did you go to Tools > Regen. Thumbnails panel? You need to regenerate the images again if you want this solution to work. Or upload the featured images again manually.
Best regards,
Ismael

OK – I’m using he built in gallery function in he enfold advanced editor (page builder)
when having multiple images in a 2-column gallery function, on page load they sometimes they like zoom up and becomes 100% thumbnail size – but sometimes they don’t go up to 100% – it seems like the function is stuck somehow.
Try pressing a little on menu items here http://bit.ly/1zdFT56 (also use the WPML language flags to change languages) – all pages under “Natur og Steder” has the gallery functionality, so “press away” :-)
site is work-in-progress so it’s not finished look yet…
What’s happening – any suggestions on solving this issue ?
Hi!
Please install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
Change the height of the entry_with_sidebar thumbnail. Update then save changes. Regenerate the thumbnails after.
Cheers!
Ismael
Hey!
Yes, i get what you mean, unfortunately is not possible to make the masonry captions act like the portfolio captions, regarding the other issue do the following:
1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
2. Go to Settings > Media
3. Change the portfolio image size (increase its height).
4. Regenerate the thumbnails by clicking the button at the bottom.
Cheers
Josue
I tried a self hosted video using <video width=”100%” height=”100%” preload=”metadata” controls>
<source src=”/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/my.mp4″ type=”video/mp4″>
</video>
and the play button does not show up in chrome. If you embed the same video in a post using the [video] shortcode it does work. But the slider will not work with shortcodes, Ive tried with no success…
2nd I tried a vimeo video with a custom thumbnail set up on their site. When embedded in a post it uses the full size thumbnail but when inserted into the layer slider it uses a smaller version of the image that gets stretched and distorts in the slider. So why is the slider making vimeo use the wrong image?
All I want is a single image that when clicked plays my video and I cannot get anything to work correctly.
This worked good but can I have this only happen on the home page, on the other pages I still want to see the thumbnail.
I’m curious if there’s a way to set the height of the big image in the image gallery to fit the height of the images that it’s containing. I’ve noticed that the height is dependent on the height of the 1st image in the gallery. Ideally, I’d like to have images with multiple aspect ratios in the same gallery where the container holding the big preview image above the thumbnails changes its height to match the height of the image it’s holding. Is this possible? Here’s a quick screen-grab explaining more of what I’m talking about (basically, I would like to get rid of the white-space without making the shortest image the first image in the gallery-and I’d like to maintain the aspect ratios). http://i.imgur.com/hzXDzYn.jpg
Thanks
Hi the welcome page is fine, just as it was before the update to 3.07
About page is fine
As is testimonials.
But ….the welcome to gallery writing has gone behind the logo and is black intend of white also it looks like i have picked boxed layout which i have not ..have a look at the bottom!
The shop page has the same writing behind the logo and ..
The gallery page should have small thumbnails below the main 2 images, now it has just filled the page with big images!!
Blog page well now the header image is massive and the blog post is over the header image
I have replicated this in safari and the iPad
This was all fine before the update, so it is an update problem, my client is not happy as site is live
Please have another look for me and tell me what has changed
Mike
Hey!
I de-activated “Simple Image Sizes” plugin and regenerated thumbnails and it worked. Please review your website now.
Regards,
Yigit
Hey condonpb!
That would take a lot of time and code and would have to be considered custom work.
If it was me I would probably end up using the gallery shortcode with thumbnail preview, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/gallery/.
Or perhaps the Masonry Gallery, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/masonry-gallery/.
Regards,
Elliott
Hi!
You can change the gallery thumbnail column size on mobile view using media queries. For example, set the Gallery Columns to 6. Add this on Quick CSS to adjust the size of the thumbnail columns on mobile view:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
#top #wrap_all .avia-gallery-1 .avia-gallery-thumb a {
width: 25%;
}
}
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi!
How do I set short text preview of big post with “read more” button? My posts have a lot of text. I don’t want the whole post to be on the main page, but thumbnail and short text with “read more” button would be nice
Hi!
please regenerate your thumbnails using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
If that does not solve the issue, then use also this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
Best regards,
Andy
