  • For anyone else wanting a solution to this, the following code worked for me if you are using the Default (Business) Layout and the Post Slider Element:

    .avia-content-slider .fake-thumbnail .slide-image{
    display:none;
    }

    Hello Victoria,

    I’m terribly sorry, but I was under the impression that the “small preview image” would simply render a smaller version of the featured image on the blog posts.

    After following your suggesting to remove the code you mentioned in your earlier response, I tried again and noticed that the “small preview images” actually is more of a thumbnail that displayed on the left side of the blog post. Maybe labeling this option a thumbnail preview image would be more clear.

    Either way, I think this will take care of my issue as I decided to work with a custom blog post layout. What still puzzles me is that the “large preview image” on single blog posts appears to be larger on the mirror installation I did. See details in my original post

    Anyways, thank you so much for your time and help. I’m sorry for the confusion.

    Hi Ismael

    Yes you can – however if you look back – I’m trying really hard to set a default… I’ve a ton of images to insert and the extra clicks and drop downs make extra work!

    How can you change the default. It defaults to Thumbnail – which I would never, ever use.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hello,
    I read other posts with my similar problem, but I can’t figure out a solution. Basically, my masonry has just 6 equal size thumbnails on 2 rows (portfolio) and I want to reduce the height. Each initial <figure> is, for instance, 400×316 and it expands proportionally with the screen size. I want to reduce the proportion to, say, 400×250. I used the simple resize plugin, as suggested in this forum, and regenerated the thumbnails and set it as 400×250, but it generates 341×250. What am I missing? What settings should the shortcode have? I tried various combinations of flexible (adds padding), perfect grid (resizes to 300), perfect automatic and perfect manual just to get crazy and see no progress…
    Please help.

    Regards

    P.S. website is not online yet, cannot be seen

    Hi,

    Which element are you trying to use? I added an Image element and I was able to select the “Full Size” thumbnail or the original image.

    How would I place a thumbnail image above the Tab Section?

    Hi,

    Make sure that you’re uploading images with the same dimension and ratio to get a nice overall look for the shop page. You can change the thumbnail size on config.php and set the crop settings to false if necessary. Regenerate the thumbnails.

    Hi,

    For the mobile version of our website (http://www.hklearning.ch/mobile) I want to create a grid with all the logos of our clients. therefore I use the gallery-element and show three logos per row. It works and looks good to me. But how can I avoid people from clicking on the logos or better disable the click?

    Thanks for your answer!

    Hi there!
    We want to show a post entry with the post-format ‘gallery’ on the blog page like in your demo 2017
    The ALB element ‘blog entries’ shows only the featured image, but not the gallery including its thumbnails.
    Which settings are necessary?
    Thanks

    I’ve seen a few threads regarding this problem, yet i’m still having an issue with this.

    I’ve built a masonry for our website, where i am trying to implement Gif’s that autoplay and loop constantly. Yet the masonry doesn’t seem to be playing the gif i add, only when clicked and opened in lightbox it starts playing (and even there is doesn’t loop but just plays once, even after switching to another image and back it still won’t play if it has already played once).

    I want the thumbnail shown in the masonry grid on the page to be playing a gif. From what i’ve read this is possible but i don’t seem to understand how to do so.

    Below i’ve posted the link to the page in question, where you can see (when scrolling down a bit) the bottom right image of the masonry is a gif that just shows a still image.

    Hope someone can help me out here seeing i’ve been struggling with it for a while.

    Hey,

    Those thumbnails will lead to content that I’m making for each. Here’s an example:

    It looks like that big image is gone. But the arrows on the side are still there, along with the related search text and tags at the bottom. I want that all removed.

    Best,
    Chris

    Hi Nikko,

    I’m referring to the image that appears on the pages after you click on a portfolio entry.

    I want the entire thing removed. The two arrows for previous and next, the thumbnail image thats enlarged, and all the tags and related search titles below.

    Thank you.

    Hey guys,

    On all portfolio entries, I want to remove the feature that shows your thumbnail image again, blown up with the option to go between entries. Along with all that tag entry text on the bottom.

    See what Im talking about here: http://www.ccyran.com/projects/advertising-age/

    Nice one Nikko! Works a treat.
    For anyone else I changed:
    $content_output .= '<img src="'. $image['sizes']['thumbnail'].'" alt="'. $image['alt'].'" />';
    to
    $content_output .= '<img src="'. $image['sizes']['thumbnail'].'" alt="'. $image['alt'].'" title="'. $image['title'].'" />';
    Thanks

    Hi there,

    I have a conditional form that only displays one gallery at a time, and the thumbnails on all but the first one to load don’t appear correctly. If there a specific reason they are loading like this?

    Hey guys,

    I want to disable perfect manual masonry cropping images. I already tried using the “simple images” plugin. Regenerating thumbnails, clearing cache/restarting but no luck. It’s still cropping everything. Any help? Is it a css solve?

    Hi guys,

    Here’s how to implement AMP and it looks amazing with Enfold. Just a couple of adjustments would be awesome. I list them below.

    Here’s the page with amp (You can see it without by removing /amp/)

    http://argen-travel.com/how-do-argentineans-eat/amp/

    Install AMP by Automattic and Activate. Nothing else to do but on every step, verify the URL with the Amp Validator. It has to pass.

    Now install AMP for WP Plugin, activate and set it up (it adds formatting, Analytics, Ads! and social sharing!)

    I love that you can pick a different menu for AMP and that you can modify the order in which the elements of the page are presented to the viewer.

    I had barely tweaked anything.

    I tested inserting a Slider and on the amp version the images come out with dots in between – I then tried the Gallery and if you avoid choosing Thumbnail size for the bottom images, the only thing left is that the first image repeats.

    I will test another slider with text for each slide and see what it looks like.

    All in all, it’s really sweet and it all passes validator. I tested Glue for Yoast and it failed validator. Not needed. I will update in a week with Google Search Console feedback.

    Cheers!!! :)

    Warmly,
    Havi

    Hi,

    We have a gallery with thumbnails on our home page. All photos are the same size images and preview thumbnails images are set to “no scaling”, however 2 of the 4 preview images are slightly smaller than the others. How can I correct this so that all images present as the same height and width in the preview images?

    I’ve looked everywhere, adjusted functions.php and used a plugin – but the default remains as 80 x 80 thumbnail and I’d like it to be Full size to avoid the drop down every time.

    Specifically this is for the Enfold Image box…

    Is it a theme or core function?! Can you help?!

    Many thanks,
    Mark

    #762654

    That is using the thumbnail 80×80 standard size? Why do I need to regenerate thumbnails then?

    #762611

    Hi!

    This is what exactly you should do – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/increase-image-sizes-on-enfold-latest-news/#post-761988. After regenerating thumbnails, you can delete the plugin :)

    Cheers!

    #762610

    Just to summarize,

    I’m looking for the code so that Enfold Latest News will use the thumbnail size (80 x 80) that is standard with Enfold and already created instead of the widget size (36 x 36), which is too small to see.

    Thanks for your help!

    #762565

    Hey fineart,

    Try the following:
    1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2. Go to Settings > Media
    3. Change the image size in question (increase its width / height).
    4. Regenerate the thumbnails by clicking the button at the bottom.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    #762536

    I actually don’t want to regenerate any thumbnails, instead use the standard ‘thumbnail’ size already part of Enfold at 80×80 pixels. Is there code I can add to functions.php that would do that? Thanks

    #762437

    Hi,

    If you would like to apply the changes to images that you have applied before adding the code, then you would need to regenerate thumbnails. Newly added images will be resized as you defined them :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    #762338

    Thanks Yigit. Is there simply a way to use the “Thumbnail” size (80×80) for Enfold Latest News without having to regenerate images?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi there

    I am wondering if there is a way to display the image gallery (big preview image with thumbnails below) so that the thumbnails show up in a sliding carousel similar to this page: http://www.aliiadevelopments.com/1192W26th.ubr

    Thanks a lot!

    Below Code i replaced

    if(!function_exists('avia_post_nav'))

    Hi,

    You can try just comment the post_nav function at the functions-enfold.php in line 444 to 506. To facilitate, replace the code by this:

    /*if(!function_exists('avia_post_nav'))
    {
    	function avia_post_nav($same_category = false, $taxonomy = 'category')
    	{
    		global $wp_version;
    	        $settings = array();
    	        $settings['same_category'] = $same_category;
    	        $settings['excluded_terms'] = '';
    			$settings['wpversion'] = $wp_version;

    		//dont display if a fullscreen slider is available since they overlap
    		if((class_exists('avia_sc_layerslider') && !empty(avia_sc_layerslider::$slide_count)) ||
    			class_exists('avia_sc_slider_full') && !empty(avia_sc_slider_full::$slide_count) ) $settings['is_fullwidth'] = true;

    		$settings['type'] = get_post_type();
    		$settings['taxonomy'] = ($settings['type'] == 'portfolio') ? 'portfolio_entries' : $taxonomy;

    		if(!is_singular() || is_post_type_hierarchical($settings['type'])) $settings['is_hierarchical'] = true;
    		if($settings['type'] === 'topic' || $settings['type'] === 'reply') $settings['is_bbpress'] = true;

    	        $settings = apply_filters('avia_post_nav_settings', $settings);
    	        if(!empty($settings['is_bbpress']) || !empty($settings['is_hierarchical']) || !empty($settings['is_fullwidth'])) return;

    	        if(version_compare($settings['wpversion'], '3.8', '>=' ))

    	            $entries['prev'] = get_previous_post($settings['same_category'], $settings['excluded_terms'], $settings['taxonomy']);

    Hey!

    Please try adding following code to Functions.php file of your child theme in Appearance > Editor

    add_filter( 'avf_modify_thumb_size', 'enfold_customization_modify_thumb_size', 10, 1 );
    function enfold_customization_modify_thumb_size( $size ) {
    $size['widget'] = array('width'=>200, 'height'=>200);
    return $size;
    }

    adjust the size as needed and then regenerate thumbnails using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Best regards,
    Yigit
