    Hey!

    It’s not possible in CSS to directly read the element current font size and based on that apply a value to another property, however there are some dynamic units you can use (em/rem):

    Hi, what codes would I use to globally change the line height for text on my site?

    I would like everything that is set to size 33px to have 42px line height and everything that is 15px to have 20px line height.

    Currently I am using this code to achieve 42px but it is doing it for all paragraph text, I only want it to do it for 33px font.

    body, body p {
    line-height: 42px;
    }

    Here is the site: http://marckdesignconcepts.com/bio/

    Hi!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS as well

    .phone-info * { font-size: 16px !important; }

    Can you please elaborate? What kind of text line would you like to add? You can use HTML in that field.

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    #454017

    Hi .. Thanks that worked … but how do I increase the font size and is there any way to add a short text line?

    Thanks again,
    Bill

    #453859

    Hi!

    You can add this in the Quick CSS field to keep them from overlapping on smaller screens.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .av-catalogue-title, .av-catalogue-price {
      position: relative;
    }}

    You can also decrease the font size.

    Cheers!
    Ismael

    Try changing your font declaration code to the following:

    .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a {
        color: DarkGray;
        font: 500 14px sans-serif;
        font: 500 30px 'AmaticSC-Regular';
    }

    That way the font-size value will be bound to the font-family so if ‘AmaticSC-Regular’ is available it will be 30px, otherwise 14px.

    Cheers!

    Hello there,

    I’ve got the Amatic SC font popped into some quick CSS for the Menu at the top of my page….however it never seems to load up properly in other browsers besides mine! (I’m using chrome). I realize this is probably because I have the font actually installed on my laptop…..I managed to make my code a little better and now it doesn’t look AS BAD and generally the font loads up properly for other browers (as in, it’s Amatic SC) but still….when I test it on browser compatibility sites, the menu font is often overlapping the Logo which is one the left.

    Here’s the link to my site: http://moderncreativesresource.com/

    here’s the code I’m using:

    .main_menu ul:first-child>li>a {
    font-size: 30px;
    }
    .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a { color: DarkGray ; font-weight: 500; font-family: ‘AmaticSC-Regular’, ‘HelveticaNeue’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; }
    .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a:hover { color: LightSkyBlue ; }
    .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a { color: LightSkyBlue ; }

    Can somebody please help me out, I’ve had several comments about how unprofessional it looks…..

    many thanks

    Grace.

    Hi RobPhrase!

    Try adding this to your custom CSS.

    .grid-entry-title a { font-size: 20px !important; }
    .portfolio-preview-title a { font-size: 20px !important; }

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    OK I got it. But how can I get the searchbar to the right of my logo and not under my menu?

    http://magazintest.pharao24.de/

    Here is my active css-code:

    #header .widget {
      max-width: 312px;
    }

    #top #s{
    height: 29px;
    width: 247px;
    border: 1px solid #827f7c;
    color: #474747;
    }

    #top #searchsubmit{
    width: 65px;
    height: 29px;
    font-weight: bold;
    line-height: 12px;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: white;
    background-color: #e28329;
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #e28329, #d25a23);
    background-image: -webkit-gradient(linear, 0 0, 0 100%, from(#e28329), to(#d25a23));
    background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #e28329, #d25a23);

    background-image: linear-gradient(to bottom, #e28329, #d25a23);
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
    border: 1px solid #827f7c;
    border-left: none;
    font-family: 'Arial' !important;
    z-index: 14;
    }

    Hi!

    Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold–>General Styling for the header size:

    header.entry-content-header {
      font-size: 20px !important;
    }

    I’m not sure what you mean by space between the posts though, could you try to explain a bit further or maybe provide us with a screenshot highlighting what you are trying to do?

    Regards,
    Rikard

    Add this to your custom CSS:

    #top .ajax_search_response a.ajax_search_entry {
        display: block;
        text-decoration: none;
        line-height: 1.4em;
        font-size: 12px;
        height: auto;
        padding: 10px 16px;
        border-bottom-style: dashed;
        border-bottom-width: 1px;
        clear: both;
        overflow: hidden;
        float: none;
        width: auto;
        text-align: left;
    }

    Best regards,
    Josue

    Hi cdubose574!

    Would you like to try reducing the font size to fit it on one line? Or another option would be to hide whatever text overflows onto the second line.

    Go ahead and send us a link to your page and highlight in your screenshot exactly how your wanting to change it so we can get a better idea.

    Regards,
    Elliott

    #452817

    A. Perfect

    B. ok

    C. I’ve done this adjustment to get them close to the shape I want but now they aren’t centered and I don’t know how to fix it. Also, is there a way for them to be both be farther to the outside or no? Still covers words when you roll over and if I can avoid that I’d like to.

    #top .avia-slideshow-arrows a{
        height: 80px;
        width: 15px;
        line-height: 32px;
        font-size: 12px;
    }

    .avia-slideshow-arrows a:before{
        line-height: 80px;
    }
    #452811

    Hey!

    A. Use the following to make them appear on hover (what did you mean only in mobile? you should know that there is no ‘hover’ in mobile):

    .avia-slideshow-arrows {
        display: none;
    }

    .avia-testimonial-wrapper:hover .avia-slideshow-arrows{
        display: block;
    }

    B. They are always in the middle from what i see.

    C. Use the following to make them skinnier (adjust as needed):

    #top .avia-slideshow-arrows a{
        height: 30px;
        width: 30px;
        line-height: 32px;
        font-size: 12px;
    }

    .avia-slideshow-arrows a:before{
        line-height: 32px;
    }

    Cheers!

    Hi Phenomedial!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    That is added using css:

    .jobs-menu > a > span.avia-menu-text:after {
      content: "4";
      font-size: 9px;
      color: #FFF;
      background: #42A0BD;
      line-height: 17px;
      width: 17px;
      display: inline-block;
      text-align: center;
      border-radius: 100px;
      position: relative;
      top: -9px;
      left: 2px;
    }

    Add a custom css class to the menu: http://sevenspark.com/how-to/how-to-add-a-custom-class-to-a-wordpress-menu-item

    In the “Jobs” menu item, the custom css class attribute is “jobs-menu”.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #452123

    Hey!

    Sorry for the late reply.

    1. That’s currently not possible in Enfold -out of the box- but i managed to get a working solution, first add this to your child theme functions.php:

    function attach_social_icons_to_mobile_menu(){
    ?>
    <script>
    (function($){
        $(window).load(function() {
        		var social_buttons 		= $("#header").find('ul.social_bookmarks').clone(),
        			mobile_advanced 	= $("#mobile-advanced");

    			mobile_advanced.prepend(social_buttons);
        });
    })(jQuery);
    </script>
    <?php
    }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'attach_social_icons_to_mobile_menu');

    And this to your child theme style.css:

    #mobile-advanced ul.social_bookmarks {
        display: block !important;
        position: absolute;
        top: 0;
        left: 25px;
        top: 25px;
    }

    #mobile-advanced ul.social_bookmarks li, #mobile-advanced ul.social_bookmarks li a {
        clear: none;
        width: 40px;
        min-height: 40px;
        line-height: 40px;
    }

    #mobile-advanced ul.social_bookmarks li, #mobile-advanced ul.social_bookmarks li a{
        border: 0 !important;
    }

    #mobile-advanced ul.social_bookmarks li > a:before{
        content: attr(data-av_icon);
        position: relative;
        top: auto;
        font-size: 22px;
        margin-left: 0;
    }

    4D: That would require additional custom development, unfortunately that’s not something we can assist you with here.

    4E: Add this to Quick CSS / child style.css:

    .avia-progress-bar .progress {
        box-shadow: none;
    }

    P.S. Don’t push your topics, it creates the contrary effect as it puts the thread last in our support queue (it orders topics based on activity).

    Using a child theme, I have added some custom css for a text block. I am trying to use a Google font for the title in that textblock. I have added the code as specified to my functions.php in the child theme:

    add_filter( ‘avf_google_heading_font’, ‘avia_add_heading_font’);
    function avia_add_heading_font($fonts)
    {
    $fonts[‘Source Sans Pro’] = ‘Source Sans Pro:300,400,600,700’;
    $fonts[‘Skranji’] = ‘Skranji:700’;
    return $fonts;
    }

    add_filter( ‘avf_google_content_font’, ‘avia_add_content_font’);
    function avia_add_content_font($fonts)
    {
    $fonts[‘Source Sans Pro’] = ‘Source Sans Pro:300,400,600,700,400italic,600italic’;
    $fonts[‘Skranji’] = ‘Skranji:700’;
    return $fonts;
    }

    The font shows up in the list for General and Advanced styling, but is not displayed when I use it in the style.css in child theme. I’ve tried using as an h1 tag and a span tag. The textblock CSS for ‘meet-content’ works, but the CSS for the h1 tag doesn’t
    .meet-content {
    margin: 0;
    padding-left: 30px;
    padding-right: 30px;
    }
    .meet-content h1 {
    font-family: Skranji;
    font-weight: 700;
    font-size: 68px;
    }

    Hi lhuston!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Which headings specifically? Please provide a link to the actual page with the issue. You can use the Quick CSS field to add a css media query and decrease the font size of the headings on mobile devices. Something like this:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
      /* Add your Mobile Styles here */
      h2 {
        font-size: 28px;
      }
    }

    Hi there – i created a secondary / top menu for the “parent” website of this new newspaper website design. the main navigation is for the newspaper site, while the secondary/top menu is for the parent site.

    Unfortunately, advanced options does not allow for changing the font size nor position of the secondary/top menu. I’m hoping you can help.

    what i need is this:

    1. ability to change the font size of the top/secondary menu
    2. ability to remove the separators between nav elements in the top/secondary menu
    3. ability to adjust the left/right and top/bottom position of the top/secondary menu – right now, it’s too far right and too close to the top – i’d like to drop it down and move it to the left a bit

    thanks so much – please see the link to see what i’m talking about.
