I was able to remedy this error by simply going into Theme Settings, then Blog Layout and deselecting Display Blog Post Date

Your solution did not work for me. I am getting validation errors for AMP on POSTS. Homepage is valid but POSTS are not and have 5 errors all associated with the same error as Loudcow experienced. Can you help please?

TIAnevermind. I just chopped out those boxes as they dont even work for mobile and I have run out of time.
there is nowhere to give a custom class to a color section as mentioned int he workaround.
I feel like your team needs to address this not send me to work on it. You would think a theme demo release would work as intended on the biggest selling phone in the world before you get people all excited to use it to be let down.

It only occurs on iphone. Android is ok I think. Im seeing mentions of it being a problem for iphones that needs a workaround of some kind.
Is the Enfold Portfolio widget useless to me then? Can the fetching of the date by Google not be prevented even though it is hidden with CSS?
Can you guys help me with this or should I just create a text box there with the info and have to edit it for all my new portfolio items?
Ive seen multiple posts here about this same exact problem yet an answer eludes.
It would be much easier for me and I would get more value out of my purchase of Enfold if this widget worked without messing up Google SERPS and inserting a date that takes up my call to action real estateCheers Ariban but I am not looking to remove all dates from wordpress. This issue is because of the Enfold Portfolio widget and is showing dates on my pages in google results including the index even though I have hidden them.
I am having this same problem. Please assist. Google is showing the date of April 25 2017 right before my excerpt in the SERPS bc Google found it in my Portfolio item I placed in my footer.
I implemented the CSS fix provided by Ismael elsewhere that hides the date from being displayed:
.news-time {
display: none;
}
span.news-time {
display: none;
}
But this doesnt prevent Google from displaying it. I made the change near a month ago and my pages have since been re-cached by Google and still have this date in the search results that makes my site look outdated.
Please advise. My site is surgeonsonthecuttingedge.comstill no. Must have a plugin conflict or similar. Im going thru them one by one. Can you guys please take a look for me? I sent details in first private message.
I also experience a bug when editing a text box on a page. I must switch it to code view and back again for anything to stick and save. If I edit a code box in front view only without doing this dance then it doesnt save the changes. Are you familiar with what could cause that?
My old site version had a SIte Origin page builder and stuff that seems to be lingering perhaps? I dont know but I would like the dates off the blog and whole site for sure. I can deal with the other bug :)
