These are the instructions I found online:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-add-google-analytics-to-wordpress-in-under-60-seconds/
Does this sound like something I should be doing with your theme?I did that the first time and didn’t work. Just tried again and it did, not sure what I did wrong. Anyway, it shows up across the whole width of the page. is there a way to make it smaller.
Ok, I get how to get the code from Google maps, but the pin location is still off from. On google maps you can actually see the office park building outlines and the location pin is way off. 1 Bradley Rd. Woodbridge CT
I clicked on the link you gave me for Google maps. The only thing I can see I can do there is put in the address. It shows it still shows it in the wrong place. I don’t see or understand how to create a marker where I want it, or to get a code. If I did, I’m not sure how or where I would put it in the theme
I put in the google map element with the address of the business. The little icon that shows where on the map it is suppose to be is several blocks away from where it is supposed to be. You can see it on the bottom of our contact page. The placement should be at the corner of Bradley and RT 63 on the right side of Bradley Rd if you are traveling to Rt 63
I have a contact page mostly set up. Am I right in guessing I have to set up “Google Places” for this company before I can change the map? If so, how do I change the map afterwards, or….
Hi Elliott,
It is working today. I’m not sure what was going on but last week I would make changes and they didn’t work and in some cases would get a message the saved changes didn’t work. That said, could you help me with the following:
If I do want a side bar, how do I edit the content. I don’t see anything in the editing window.
Is there instructions somewhere in the documentation that explains how to set up a contact page? I have not found it.In addition to my saving problem in the last response, I looked at the theme documentation. It says – Sidebar options:
“•Select the default location of the Page Sidebar. Can be overwriten for each Page individually on the edit Page screen”
This sounds like to me that I should be able to remove a side bar for any given page rather than all of them on the edit page screen (open the page from pages?) I see a drop down for sidebars but nothing that gets rid of it.Thanks, I’m used to developing web sites with MS Expression web templates. I’m not only learning a new application, It seems I have to unlearn things. Any, I found what you were saying and when I tried to choose no side bar, when I saved it, I got a message that said saving didn’t work, reload page and try again. I’ve reloaded, shut everything down and still keep getting this message…any ideas?
Yes I think we are talking about the same area… “menu,” but I’m not talking about links. I have downloaded all the dummy content so I can use the same layout and just replace the content with my stuff. So, for example, in the menu section it has the Home page menu with all the possible home pages listed as a drop down. I want to have those pages available to me in case I choose to use one of those layouts in the future, but I think if I remove if from the list, it gets removed from the “pages” and I will no longer have it available. Is this true and is there a way to keep all the pages I down loaded for possible future use. I find the help in the documentation difficult so any specific instructions would be helpful.
Ok, still need a little more info. right now I’m not talking about saving pages I’ve created as templates. Being new to this, I’ve load all the content of the Enfold theme that you see when looking at it before purchase. There are multiple choices for which home page you want to use etc. This is going to be a very simple site but I would like to have somewhere, all those pages that I down loaded so in the future, if I want to switch to a different home page or image gallery etc., I’ll have it some where. So, is that what you are talking about, if so, I’m still unclear about how to do that. In the Avia layout builder there aren’t any instructions of what to do.
If I want to have at my disposal all of the potential page layouts that came with Enfold, should I go through each page and save as a template?
