Follow directions here and make sure that you have enabled the ‘Description’ field in the ‘Screen Options’ (top right button while working with Menus.
That did the trick! Thank you sir! Much appreciated!

Hope you’re having a super day!The function did work to put the correct title there but on my iPhone, it still chops it off. It just shows ‘Forum Se’.
Thoughts?
Negative. You must overwrite. If you’re worried about changes and want to test first, you can easily go into the style.css folder and update the theme name at the top and then change the theme folder to match that name. Upload and switch to that theme to see how it looks. If you like what you see… overwrite the original and switch back to the original name.
If it says you have the latest version and you see pages broken, I’d definitely just do a complete overwrite via ftp.
Hi Yigit,
I got it to do this same thing when creating a new widget section but as was the same for me, it now combines the global website widgets with this page.. putting them below the widgets designated for this page.
For example.. you added ‘Recent Topics’ and ‘Forum Login’, but the page now shows these 2 at top and then another 3 widgets under it (I’m assuming your screenprint shows this but unfortunately I’m blocked from that site here at work). Also, I still can’t make breadcrumbs appear on this page without enabling for the whole site and if I tell this page not to use widgets it all, it ignores the request.Nobody else has this issue? This seems odd.
I’ve noticed that whatever page I have listed for ‘Forum Root’ in Settings will not respond to most (any?) of the page changes (the exception being when I add bbpress shortcodes to the main content – they do show up). I’ve tried adding breadcrumbs and they won’t show. I’ve tried removing the sidebar altogether and the sidebar still shows. I try changing the sidebar to a different set of widgets and it doesn’t respond.
If I change this ‘Forum Root’, the page will then accurately respond to all changes. No problems with any other pages on the site.
Anyone got any ideas?
I think that’s Oswald.
Reinstalled theme. Some forum widgets show on forum page now but mixed with global site widgets and I still can’t get the breadcrumbs to show up on forum page.
Any thoughts?
They’re using a logo that’s originally 300 x 137 and choosing the ‘slim’. Since the uploaded image is actually smaller, it fills more of the predefined area for slim.
That’s normal. The recommended size for upload isn’t what displays for large. It still shows smaller for all.
Just choose ‘custom pixel size’ instead of large and enter the true height of 156 and the logo will appear as you wish.

Unfortunately, there’s not really a better way to do it once the parent theme files have been updated.

If so, can’t you just copy the contents out and then replace after updating the theme? I use a third party plugin (Simple Custom CSS by John Regan) so I don’t run into this issue and can just overwrite at will.
November 13, 2014 at 9:47 pm in reply to: Any way to add forum breadcrumbs over/under the forum? #350918Hi Yigit.. Man, you are busy today!
Unfortunately, there is no “forums” page. That page looks to be a virtual creation when you name it under “Settings -> Forum”. For kicks though, I went ahead and created a page called ‘Forums’ and tried activating breadcrumbs there, but they just get ignored. I tried this on other pages, as a test, and it worked fine.
I also verified the new Forums page was indeed the page the forum was on. When I put any text on that page, such as just writing ‘testing’, the forum disappears and only that text shows.
No luck thus far!
Thanks. Not sure it’s your issue, but I had this problem after upgrading WordPress but not upgrading the theme to the latest. Are you on the latest version of both?
Thank you! I have checked out all the vids and looked through the docs many times. This theme is actually quite easy to use so great job!
My mistake here is an embarrassing one but you led me to the answer. I didn’t realize that .png file was transparent so though I had looked at slide 7 many times, I thought there was no pic attached but there was!
Thanks much for your help. Much appreciated!
