Same issue on my site: shortcodes not working in custom post types (events of Timetable Responsive Schedule plugin by QuanticLabs). They do work only in pages and articles (standard post types).
I fixed it! Banally, there’s was un update of Timetable I didn’t install. It has to be installed directly through FTP (manual update only) because WP does not warn of it! Thank you anyway!
You’re right! Deactivating Timetable, Layerslider get fixed! So, what would I do now? That plugin is fundamental to my site….
As I wrote, I used Simple Slider (from media tab of the Avia layout Builder) to get working sliders, not Layerslider. But I need Layerslider to manage objects in layers, and it’s still not working. I opened a new thread:
Easy slider works. I’ll use it by now. But I hope you’ll fix Layerslider ad soon as possible, ’cause I need some of its peculiar features (layers above all).

I’m not using caching plugins.
