You might try changing your PHP version. I did this and it worked perfectly.

You can close this. I updated my PHP version and everything is working correctly.

I fixed it. I removed the LayerSlider from the backend and reinstalled a fresh copy. It now works correctly.

Advanced Styling > Dropdown > Main Menu Links

You can also change the hover effect by adding another and clicking the checkbox.
