Thanks Victoria,
That seems a little counter-intuitive, especially when it still shows the selectable options in the post backend for Layout. Perhaps you should grey-out/remove those if the ALE is active?

Follow up: Trigger may be the use of the Advanced Layout Editor. If you turn that off, the Title Bar and Featured image return.
Does that help diagnose where our issue is? Is there something in the theme settings that would maybe force the Title Bar and Featured image off if the ALE is used?

Thanks for your reply. Yes of course, first test on any issue is to deactivate plugins. No luck.
I’ve also tried forcing Title Bar and Featured image in the Layout options for a single post. No luck.
The Title Bar and Featured image remain in posts that have not been edited or updated.
There are no console messages to indicate a js or other issue.
The only way we’ve had of regaining the Title Bar and Featured image is to roll back the revisions, then you can preview again and see the Title Bar and Featured image in place, but hit update, and they disappear again!
Cheers,
TimHey there, just another user with the same problem…
I managed to rectify the situation by turning off the Better WordPress Minify plugin, which had an old css file and wouldn’t clear it. Might be worth checking your minification plugins.August 28, 2015 at 9:56 am in reply to: All portfolio items disappear after update, pages blank, advanced editor blank #494706Hi Rikard, I’ve already removed your access as I’ve fixed the issue by rebuilding the pages whilst using Firefox. Let me know when you’ve fixed the Chrome issue, and I’ll do the upgrade on the other site I use Enfold on, and give you access to that one.
August 27, 2015 at 5:30 pm in reply to: All portfolio items disappear after update, pages blank, advanced editor blank #4943482nd update: managed to rebuild all the relevant pages whilst using firefox – now look ok – but the Chrome issue is still there. As the client is likely to use chrome to update their news items, etc – please can I ask you to make fixing the Chrome issue a priority?
Also – as an NB with the upgrade – same as the last 2 iterations of the updates – all the widget areas got screwed around. content from one widget area was forced into another, and some content disappeared altogether – please can you look at stopping that before the next update?
I’m afraid Enfold has dropped off my list of themes to use for clients. Your updates have been far too messy for far too long. :(
August 27, 2015 at 4:07 pm in reply to: All portfolio items disappear after update, pages blank, advanced editor blank #494269ok – quick update – I noticed that this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/problem-with-advanced-layout-editor-2/ mentions switching to ff fixes the advanced layout editor issue – tried that – and that works. However, the portfolio issuue still remains, and now I notice that the layersliders are not working, and not the right size too.
August 27, 2015 at 3:41 pm in reply to: All portfolio items disappear after update, pages blank, advanced editor blank #494232Yes, tried all the usual things – no help.
FYI I’ve done a ftp re-install, upped the memory, dumped all plugins, gone to wp 2015 them and back again, etc etc – all screwy still.

September 10, 2014 at 4:49 pm in reply to: WordPress 4.0 update causes Avia Layout Builder not to work 2 #316737Hi Josue,
Yes that does look like the issue. The deactivate/reactivate process fixed the Yoast and Jetpack plugins.
Thanks,
TimSeptember 10, 2014 at 3:38 pm in reply to: WordPress 4.0 update causes Avia Layout Builder not to work 2 #316670Ok – conflicts in jquery versioning error calls found with these plugins:
+ *Anything* by Yoast
+ Comprehensive Google Map Plugin
+ Jetpack
Jetpack endeavours to solve this with a jquery migrate call. Which seems to allow WordPress SEO to load (with issues) but not the “Comprehensive Google Map Plugin”
Can you confirm that you are using the latest version call of jquery or offer any guidance as to how to resolve these conflicts?UPDATE:
Found this:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-breaks-visual-editor-in-wp-4
In summary, you can edit line 45 of the “Comprehensive Google Map Plugin” head.php to stop it failing completely and causing jquery call errors.- This reply was modified 10 years, 3 months ago by wildmercury. Reason: new info found
September 10, 2014 at 1:20 pm in reply to: WordPress 4.0 update causes Avia Layout Builder not to work 2 #316521Same issue.
WP 4.0 + Enfold 2.9.2 + Child Theme = Avia not functioning + Enfold Child Theme options not functioning + WordPress SEO not functioning + several other settings inaccessible.
Please provide guidance asap.- This reply was modified 10 years, 3 months ago by wildmercury.
