    Oh my gosh Yigit, thank you SO MUCH! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you doing that for me! Might I ask, do you do any freelance work? If not do you know someone who is good & affordable?

    Thanks again, you’re a rock star! ;-)

    Thank you so very much! That worked perfectly. Could I ask another question in this post (well, it’s two), or do you want me to open a new post?

    1. I know the top menu already has a text color change on hover, but the colors are so similar it’s hard to see. Where would I change that, or is it a custom css?

    2. I want to try to make my socket look like this:
    http://i57.tinypic.com/29w1u7s.jpg

    Where the socket is larger (taller) with the menu in it with a divider then icons with text (I think I know how to do the icons in the builder, even though I have not yet been able to get the text beside the icon :-( ). Then the actual footer part where the footer widgets etc would go above that as normal.

    Would you be so kind as to help me with that? Some techs advise that they can’t because it’s a customization, but I can’t figure out how to do it (man, I REALLY NEED TO learn CSS!) & would REALLY appreciate the help, TREMENDOUSLY appreciate it.

    Thank you Yigit (is your name pronounced just as it is spelled? yi-jit, the j because that is how I interpret it, yi-jit ;-)

    Thanks again!

    Is it just WooCommerce???

    in reply to: Gallery Page acting weird #322691

    Oh my goodness, I just realized I am using StyleShop on this one. So sorry about that! That is one of yours right, I know I bought it at the same place. Can you move this or?

    Thanks & sorry!

    in reply to: LayerSlider displaying slide background images zoomed in #302308

    Well, I think I figured it out. I think I just needed to mess with sizes in the slider settings, I am still having some issues, but I think I can get to where I need to be.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

    in reply to: LayerSlider displaying slide background images zoomed in #302294

    If I add another layer on that slide, it shows it, but it only slides it part of the way in & it covers up all of the content for it.

    in reply to: LayerSlider displaying slide background images zoomed in #302285

    Can you elaborate a little more? How do I use it as the background?

    Thanks!!!

    in reply to: WordPress Update 3.9.2 is available! #301477

    Well, I’m not sure what I did, but I was able to get it working, yay!!! But in looking in the child directory, there isn’t a functions.php. Is this ok? Did this have anything in it I needed? I had a functions.php & a functions-enfold.php. I can’t remember, I think the functions-enfold.php might have been something I created when looking to do customizations based on what I read in support docs?

    So for the most part it looks ok. It looks like I will have to go in & make some changes which is going to be a pain, but at least it is working. I am noticing some of the things that I had customized in the quick css, like making my logo bigger etc, aren’t working, which is odd since I coped the quick css from the parent theme & moved it to the child?

    Anyways please let me know about the functions files if you would so I know if I need to do something with that. I appreciate the help. I didn’t think I was going to be able to do this, but it was easier than I thought! Whoo hoo!

    in reply to: WordPress Update 3.9.2 is available! #301476

    Oh, if you go to my site & see it working, it’s because I reverted it back to the parent theme so it’s not broken until I can get it fixed :-)

    in reply to: WordPress Update 3.9.2 is available! #301475

    And if I try to upload functions.php to the child theme, I get the following error when going to my site:

    Warning: require_once(functions-enfold.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/monicawa/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php on line 512

    Hello again. Ok so from the links you gave I THINK I have it figured out, but am running into a problem.

    This is what I did:
    I created a new directory in themes called enfold-child.
    I made sure the directory chmod was the same as the parent.
    I modified the css to the following & then uploaded it to the child directory:

    /*
     Theme Name:   Enfold Child
     Theme URI:    http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold
     Description: A superflexible and responsive Business Theme by Kriesi
     Author:       Kriesi
     Author URI:   http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kriesi/333648177216
     Template:     enfold-child
     Version:      1.0.0
     Tags:         light, dark, two-columns, right-sidebar, responsive-layout, accessibility-ready
     Text Domain:  enfold-child
    */

    /*
    For older themes, and themes that do not use wp_enqueue_style() to enqueue their stylesheet, use the following line where twentyfourteen is the name of the directory where the theme resides:

    Make sure you uncomment out this import line below if you want to include the parent CSS and the wp_enqueue_style() is not working. If you do not then you will not have any styling in your child theme from the parent theme.
    */

    /*
    @import url("../enfold/style.css");
    */

    /* =Theme customization starts here
    -------------------------------------------------------------- */

    Then I went in & activated the child theme & it said it activated successfully.
    The only thing I am not sure about is functions.php. I uploaded all of the same site files into the child theme directory that existed in the parent EXCEPT for functions.php as outlined in the link http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    So everything says it’s working in the admin but when I go to my site, monicawalston.com, I get the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function avia_get_option() in /home/monicawa/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/header.php on line 5

    What am I missing? I feel like there’s just one little thing? From what I read in the above link, I got the jist that I shouldn’t upload a functions.php, is that correct???

    Please help?

    Thank you!

    in reply to: LayerSlider displaying slide background images zoomed in #301466

    Thanks for replying Josue. I see where you’re at in the slider Ok, I just did that, but now the background image, which I deleted as the slide image & added as a layer with the text, isn’t showing up. ???

    in reply to: WordPress Update 3.9.2 is available! #301396

    Thank you Devin. Is there away to shut the auto updates off? And are the Enfold updates automatic too?

    in reply to: LayerSlider displaying slide background images zoomed in #301265

    Thanks for the reply. I notice & to me it is actually a really big deal, so if it can be fixed I definitely want to get it resolved. On an image such as shown above it probably doesn’t make as big of a difference, but when I use other images where the crop is close to cutting off a roof, or someone’s head etc, it will definitely be a big deal. I could go on & on on that subject but I’ll spare you, LOL!

    The page is at http://www.monicawalston.com, it’s right on the home page. Here is the sourse bg images if it helps any:

    Thank you!

    in reply to: WordPress Update 3.9.2 is available! #301257

    Yeah, it actually updated all by itself not long after I got the message that it was available, which I am actually not too happy about. I would like to have control over that. Do you know where I can change the setting for that so it only updates manually?

    Ok, if I can’t figure it out myself I guess that is what I will have to do [not til payday unfortunately].

    How often does the Enfold theme update, is there an update coming out any time soon? If there is an update coming soon then I’ll need to get the child done very soon. What does an update (WP or theme) effect exactly? I know for sure the files, so if you changed any files it would overwrite those, but as far as images that I have uploaded, any of the settings, the quick css, etc? What is effected exactly?

    And so by using a child theme, nothing that would be effected is effected? But, if you are using a child theme, how would you go about doing any updates that are available if you wanted to? Or can you not do any updates if using a child theme?

    Thank you!

    in reply to: WordPress Update 3.9.2 is available! #300947

    Thanks Ismael. I just read through that link & a couple others, and unfortunately I am still totally lost. The part that is confusing me is the actual creating of the child theme. I just don’t understand it. I did the export in the settings, and also downloaded a child theme, not sure what that part is about, it looks like it just has css & function files.

    Is there someone you could recommend, or do you guys have a paid service maybe where I could give you the login & have you do it for me? I can usually do this stuff, but I am lost on this for some reason. Thanks so much.

    in reply to: Logo size / help with hot spots #299441

    Oh ok. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!

    in reply to: Body Width #298120

    Ok so that worked, but now the text is back to the smaller width & now it is not centered, which is strange. Isn’t there a way I can use percentage instead of a fixed pixel width? Just for the heck of it I did try:

    .container {
    width: 100%;
    }

    But that didn’t change anything so maybe not?

    If I change it from 1210 to any number higher, it stays the same. How would I go about making it like say 90% centered so there would be a good padding left & right? This is close to the last thing I am working on, which of course means it is driving me crazy, LOL!

    There’s got to be a way to accomplish it because I have seen it done on so many other sites using this theme.

    Thank you!

    in reply to: Logo size / help with hot spots #298117

    Oh but I forgot, I’m not on it tonight I guess……… On the hotspot, if you look at seatosummitworkshops.com, the header images they have, which I guess is a slideshow of sorts, they have images sliding in from all over the place as well as text boxes with css backgrounds. Do you know how I can accomplish that? Is there something in the settings I can use, is it done in a slideshow, or a plugin or something? Maybe I thought it was a hotspot they’re using & it isn’t?

    in reply to: Logo size / help with hot spots #298116

    This worked perfectly. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!

    in reply to: Contact form in footer #298101

    Thank you very much. I was adding the custom widget instead of the text widget, which is why I couldn’t figure out how to add any HTML because it wasn’t a text widget. Silly me. Thank you for your help, solved!

    in reply to: Contact form in footer #297957

    I too want to do this, I got all the way to the part of getting she shortcode, but then can’t figure out how to add it to a footer widget….

    in reply to: Logo size / help with hot spots #297687

    An update, I am not sure how but now if I hover over the #1 hotspot, I get a popup showing the image I was trying to get it to use as a hotspot over the bigger image. It just started doing it, it didn’t do it before. It was probably from a quick css addition I added for a completely different issue.

    What I am trying to do is get that image that shows on hover to come in over the bigger image the hotspot is on & come in from bottom to top or whatever direction, not for it to show the image on hover, if that makes sense. I saw it done on another website using this theme & was trying to see if I could do something similar.

    The example site also has text with semi-transparent backgrounds that fade in & out over the image as well. I would like to try this myself as well. It’s a great effect.

    The example site is http://www.seatosummitworkshops.com on the header images slideshow, you can see how images display over it as well as text on a semi-transparent background. Can you help me understand how to achieve this? Thank you again!

    in reply to: Body Width #297681

    I was able to get the body width changed but only for the header & footer portions with this quick css, but the body container was not affected. So now I just need help with that portion. And I set the width, as you can see, to 1920. Is that a correct width to use if I want it at 100% for any size resolution display, or on smaller resolutions will 1920 make it scroll horizontally? Thank you!!!

    .responsive .container {
        width: 1920px;
      }

    in reply to: Logo size / help with hot spots #297656

    Oh one quick note, I can use the insert media to add images etc in content section of pages, so I know it’s not an issue with the media editor.

    Thanks!
