    They didn’t solve the problem there, they said in the end:
    Please do create a new support ticket for us, so we can also see your web site.
    That is an old topic, many stuff has changed so would be nice to have a preview of it.

    So here is my new ticket too…I have included the info about my website, do I really need a plugin to make this work??

    in reply to: Read more doesn't work #681876

    But it DOESN’T work like that, so what do I have to do to make it work?

    I tried to use it in the first part of the text on the link provided below

    IN the backend I see a dotted line with ‘read more’ in it but in the frontend it shows the whole text ALL THE TIME , no read more.

    Ah okay, I would link to hide half of the text, and only show it when read more is clicked?

    Hi there,

    They are in wp-content, but it could be that the Updraft restore puts them there?

    in reply to: Copy page template to other version of the website #679155

    Thanks!

    I notices when I used FTP to my site that there are a lot of new folders there like:

    languages-old
    plugins-old
    themes-old
    etc

    Any idea why that is?

    in reply to: Copy page template to other version of the website #679132

    Hi,

    Not really…

    When I switch to ‘standard view’ instead of the Avia builder, there is nothing to see, so nothing to copy-paste?

    in reply to: Copy page template to other version of the website #679059

    I guess it will be easier to re-create the pages then, it’s not a lot, just annoying that I changed things….

    BTW, if I have both copies live, is there a plugin I could use to store pages and load them into the other site maybe?

    in reply to: 1 column gallery #663224

    Hi Ismael,

    Yes I have (please check now) but I cant get the same look that the images in the masonry gallery have?

    Is there a way to get a normal images element to look like the pictures in the masonry gallery above, with the white textarea underneath it?
    (I have put the masonry gallery in the original horizontal position)

    Hi there Yigit,

    Sure you can login, I’ve put the logon credentials in the Private content.
    What I would like to achieve is that the 3 pictures on the left are displayed in 1 column, so they are completely visible again.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Thank you!
    Unfortunately I have been moving this site around a few times before already, so I had to fix it using the Updraftplus tool to replace links in the database, but it worked!

    in reply to: Can I put a widget in the socket? #639750

    Hi Ismael,

    No I don’t have a code, or at least I don’t know how to work with the code of a plugin like this…
    The statistics visitor counter is a plugin that I can use as a widget to put in the footer like the Enfold Facebook widget works.

    As you can see in my link below the counter is in the footer now.

    First choice option would be to get rid of the footer completely and somehow have the visitor counter in the socket, but someone said that is bad for SEO?
    The second choice option would be if the Enfold Facebook widget would only display a Facebook logo + the site logo, now it’s very big.

    Hi Basilis,

    What I was looking for was in the standard contact form after all, I found out today that there is a subject field that I can fill in and it works.

    in reply to: Styling breadcrumbs #632083

    Hi Yigit,

    Thank you very much, this is almost perfect, but now it seems like the breadcrumbs area is OVER the top of the pages instead of above them?
    It is covering part of the pages now, how can I solve that?

    Thanks and have a nice weekend!

    in reply to: Button styling #609594

    Hi Vinnie,

    This all works great, however I still have a question.
    I realized that I have already built in a lot of buttons in the site so I would have to change the custom CSS field for all of them.

    In the backend, all these buttons look exactly like i would like to see them in the frontend, they all have a gradient in the color that I choose, and a very subtle border. Isn’t it possible to make all frontend buttons look like the backend version by default?

    Regards,

    in reply to: Button styling #608144

    Hi there Jordan,

    I tried it but it doesn’t seem to work, I now have this in my quick CSS field:

    .buttoncool-class a.avia-button {
    background: #7db9e8;
    background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #7db9e8 0%, #2989d8 50%, #1e5799 100%);
    background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #7db9e8 0%,#2989d8 50%,#1e5799 100%);
    background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #7db9e8 0%,#2989d8 50%,#1e5799 100%);
    filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr=’#7db9e8′, endColorstr=’#1e5799′,GradientType=0 );
    }

    .buttoncool-class a.avia-button {
    border: 5px solid #ab24cd;
    }

    I used it in one button in the link below, as you can see, I think the code should generate a purple border , right?
    But it’s not there, what did I do wrong? :)

    in reply to: Button styling #607765

    Hi Yigit,

    Thanks that looks great!
    I had to enable the custom CSS again after I updated the Enfold theme, but now I can use this, thanks!

    I remember that I also changed a setting once somewhere that produced a border of a few pixels around the buttons, but I can’t find it now, could you tell me how this can be created? I thought that was in the Enfold control panel somewhere but now I can’t find it…

    in reply to: Change font size in individual buttons #601869

    Hi Jordan,

    Thats great, it works
    !
    I’ve changed the font size of one button using this technique as you can see, but the size of the button itself also changes.
    Is there a way to keep the size of the buttons the same when the font changes? Or , if thats impossible, change all buttons at once to a smaller font?

    I’m also looking for a way to style these buttons in a way that that look more like buttons, with a gradient or a bevel & emboss effect, more like the way they look in the backend?

    Hi Rikard,

    If you click the link below the page scrolls to the section with lots of green buttons right?
    I would like to change the font size of the names in some of those buttons because some words are too long.

    I noticed that the button settings have a field ” CSS class” so I was hoping I could put something in there to change the font size for that button?

    BTW Especially on iPad for example, the words are bigger than the buttons, I thought it would adjust because it is responsive?

    in reply to: The text editor has a serious bug… #596198

    Hi Rikard,

    I have found out yesterday doing some tests that copy-pasting the text from the frontend into the same text element didn’t work.
    However, after I completely deleted the textblock in the backend, and added a FRESH one, it worked as normal.

    So this seems to be some kind of strange bug in the text element, but it’s good to know how I can solve it now ;)

    in reply to: The text editor has a serious bug… #595461

    Hi Rikard,

    Unfortunately the text I have to use on the website is a lot and it also has been formatted with italic parts in it etc. so this would be a lot of extra work if notepad would make it all disappear again…

    Is this something that can’t be fixed?
    I tried to copy the visible text on the frontend of the site (because it is still there, even though it can’t be edited) and paste it back into the editor, but then it still doesn’t open after saving….

    I have attached a link where you can see this code

    Do you have an idea what characters are causing the problem so I can avoid it? I can’t see what’s wrong with the code…

    in reply to: Jump to different part inside text block #594478

    Hi Vinnie,

    I will try to follow your advice, but how can not following this standard actually crash the editor this way?
    Today this happened again.
    I have an MSWord document that has these strange tokens, Word makes them when you make a summery I guess.
    All I did was copy-paste that text into the text block, after editing some of it and saving, the text editor doesn’t work anymore, so i can’t even get in the text to change the tokens anymore…. :(

    Is there a way around this? If you logon to the backend and try to edit the text in the bottom area, you will see what I mean…

    Regards,
    Marcel

    Hi Ismael,

    This doesn’t seem to change anything in the way the text is displayed in the link below…It seems that the 22% padding of the column in the grid row element is still more important?

    But I was looking for a more general explaination why it is built like this.

    Why is it that content that is placed in a 1/1 column element is restricted to the middle part of the site (I think it’s called the safe area?) when viewed on a widescreen monitor, but content a 1/1 column in a grid row element is stretched all over the screen from left to right?
    Is that by design? And if so, why did they do this?

    in reply to: Jump to different part inside text block #592761

    Hi Yigit,

    I’ve tried your method to change the anchors now and it seems to work, but the strange thing is, after I replace the anchors with
    <div id=”_Toc433568122″ class=”custom-anchor”> type of anchors I can’t get into the text editor anymore?

    The editor opens but there is no text to edit anymore, it looks like a new empty text block, even though the page looks correct.
    (Please check private content)

    Hi Yigit,

    If you check below:
    – In the first link (diversen-kopie/#gastenboek) I used a grid row element with a 1/1 textfield , setting the padding to 18%
    – In the second link (diversen/#gastenboek) I used a normal 1/1 column for the textblock

    On my widescreen monitor these text blocks look the same, but on my iPad I can see that the column method uses the whole screen there, while the grid row method with 18% padding still has 18% left and right, which makes it relatively more padding than the column version.

    So basically I am wondering if there is a way to make the grid row version work in the same way the column version works?
    Why do grid row elements use the area outside the ‘safe area’ for the content?

    Hope you see what I mean?

    Marcel
