If you set the font weight to 300, you can see that the font is the same as on the “About” page.

Do you mean that this image is smaller on the page? It scales down to fit in the container in this case. And it seems to follow the 2:1 aspect ratio.

It is possible to make images the same size by means of cropping them, but cropping might remove the parts of the image that users want to show. And so you get more control over images when you carefully prepare them in terms of size and quality.

The menu seems to break even at 1400px, it seems to be too long for the width of the container that you have.
You might want to reorganize your menu structure or have a burger menu even on desktop.Best regards,
