I can’t find any documentation on it as well. It just shows an error (“Fout”) when you want to add your sitemap to the search system. See:
“Algemene HTTP-fout: 404 niet gevonden” translated into English: : “General HTTP-error: 404 not found”
Hope to hear again.
Kind regards, Jan
I know, it is only a 404 page, but tell it to Google! Without a 404 page in the sitemap index Google webmastertools is not accepting the sitemap and therefore you are not profiting from double or triple traffic to your website.
It would help if I could make a 404-page myself and have it function as an errror page…
Please do try again.
Kind regards, Jan
Maybe I should make a separate 404 page as all other pages? If I would make such a separate 404 page, what would I have to do or change with the 404 php file in order to have that new 404 page serve as the main 404 page as in the 404 template?
Such a new 404 page would certainly show in the sitemap…(?)
Hope to hear from you.
Kind regards, Jan
So I did. No changes. In Google Search Console regarding “Sitempas” it keeps talking about a HTTP error: 404 (General HTTP error: 404, cannot find 404″). Rather strange while Yoast SEO plugin is providing a XML sittemap….
Kind regards,
Jan
Hello Rikard. I am using Yoast SEO plugin to generate an XML sitemap and my website is yannik.nl
Hope you have a solution….
Jan
I do not want (yet) to modify the 404 page. I just want the page to be recognised as a 404 page. If I make a sitemap page it is not there and therefore Google doesn’t accept the sitemap for searchranking.
Yes, nice, but that is your 404page (“Error 404 – page not found”). Not an instruction how to make a 404 page into my Enfold website.
Please try again…Sorry again! Problem solved. Had to change the css in general styling from English language separately.
No sorry, Yigit mentioned
#header_meta .avia_wpml_language_switch { display: none; }You did it again. Great. Thanks.
Hello Yigit. My website: http://www.yannik.nl
See it on your mobile phone.Sorry Dude But i just want it to be in the main menu line and NOT in the top bar. Or: if it has to be the top bar then I want it at the right (next to the soci icons) and not at the left side. Any suggestions?
With upgradee Enfold 3.0 I seem to have lost the letter-spacing in the button font. It s still there in all headings but not in the buttons anymore.
Can you help me?
October 2, 2014 at 9:44 am in reply to: Masonry slider/portfolio fails in translation with WPML #328776Now I did. Works great. Thanks again. Great support
Hi Ismael. We are getting there step by step. I do have sizecontrol now, but in case of displaying the text at mobile devices I need to change line spacing as well.
Can you help me once more?
I followed your instructions, but it didn’t work out. No change at all. I filled in your css code in the same layer at the “styles” panel, in the “custom stykes” field. is that ok? or should I do this deeper (in the wp content file)?
Yes it is in responsive mode. I do not want the text to shrink, but stay greater because it is a smal bodytext (“paragraph”) even in pc mode. So it is about having to hold on to a size that is still readable on ie a mobile phone.
“Apply a custom css Classes. Use this to modify the position and size of the element using css media querie.”.
Sorry, but this abacadabra for me. I do know where to find the attributes optio but no idea what to fill in at “ID”, “Classes”, “Title”, “Alt” and “Rel”. May be you can help me out?Problem solved when using standaard heading (H3) instead of specific size of letterfont. That’ll do for me…
Thanks. it works. for font, size and color. How do I manage letterspacing in the menu fon?
still no change of the main menu font. Where can I find it in the css file of my wp css content? Is it in ‘lay-out.css’ or ‘base.css’ ? How is the main menu called?
Hi Ismael. I already figued it out. I copied the css instructions in the php file as well. Solved.
it does however change the button fontbut not the menu font. Is there a way to change all headings in Oswald?
Thanks Ismael, but…… when finished doing as you suggested i lost everything: complete blank pages cannot do anything any more. Any idea what happend? I now see there are two function.php files: ” functions-enfold.php” and “theme functions (function.php)”.
If I have to start all over (transferring my local website to the host) i would like to know for sure which file to use for adding the php instruction
Thnx. Worked right away…. So the problem is some restriction inside my system. Do you know where i can find/change it. I had the same problem with a plugin. It would be nice to tackle the problem once and for all….
What do you mean with ‘server setup’? Is that on my PC or in for instance my NAS?
