If this helps, I have used your Gym Demo for my site and took its Contact page (its Contact Form to be precise) and placed it, as it was, in my frontpage.
Also, maybe a way around this problem, it would be to have the response hardcoded hidden behind the contact form
with opacity: 0 transition to opacity: 1 or display: none to display: block; or z-index: ? etc
So when you hit Submit and the contact form disappears, the “Message was sent succefully” will appear at its place?
