Hi,
No, I didn’t open the functions.php file at all. Had you added the code to the functions.php in the child theme folder (which is what I am using)? The portfolio items should be in the same order they appear on the main page, moving left to right across each row.
Thanks,
TrevorHi,
I appreciate you inputting the code. Unfortunately, it’s still not operating in post order (Post Attributes: Order). I deleted cache, refreshed multiple times and I’m not sure what order it’s displaying in, but it isn’t post order as I’ve specified in Post Attributes.
Thanks,
TrevorThanks Ismael. I added that code to the functions.php file and received the following error message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in D:\Hosting\7270199\html\wp-content\themes\enfold-child\functions.php on line 320- This reply was modified 7 years, 6 months ago by trevorjohnston. Reason: Corrected error message
Thanks for the response. Could you please translate for the less technically savvy, i.e. me? I’m not at all clear what those links are saying. By “adjacent to the current post,” are you referring to post date? I would like them viewed according to Order set in Post Attributes. Is that not possible?
I just checked Theme Update in my WordPress dashboard and it indicates I am using the most recent version of Enfold:
“Theme Updates
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.0.7)”FWIW, I am using a child theme.
Awesome! Everything seems to be working again. Thanks very much!
Hi John. According to GoDaddy it should be 21. Try this access info. Works for me.
Strange. Try this one…
Sorry, I’ve corrected the password and it should work now.
Sure, please see Private content for access info.
Just added the css code. Still not working. Cleared caches too. No luck.
Yes, I’ve noticed the images appear when I “Inspect Element” in Safari as well, but disappear as soon as I change pages and return. How do I install the missing icon font and how do I fix the second Javascript error you mention, whatever that may be? Sorry, you’re not dealing with a web rocket scientist here. ;-)
Thanks,
TrevorFYI, I’ve had others check the page and the images are not loading for them either.
I was able to manually remove all remnants of the W3 Total Cache plugin and the message no longer appears in the Settings window, BUT… still no luck with the EasySlider images showing up. I am including my FTP access info in case you can see something I have missed. I’m not sure how to “flush out the cache on my site.”
Nope, no caching plugins here. I’ve cleared caches repeatedly, in each of the various browsers. Still no love.
I just saw this message across the top of my WP Settings > General window: “Some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove D:\Hosting\7270199\html\wp-content\advanced-cache.php.”
Could that have anything to do with it? If so, any suggestions how to resolve? That’s really odd. I’ve tried it in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, on two different computers and am not seeing the slider images. Just checked my Java and it’s current version (not sure if that’s even relevant). Any suggestions?
Awesome! Works exactly as advertised. Just out of curiosity, I deactivated the Post Types Order plugin as you instructed, then made the change to functions.php. Amazingly it saved all portfolio items in the correct order. No manual re-ordering needed. I even flushed the cache to be sure. How’d it do that? :-)
Thanks for your help.
Trevor
Could you please answer the two questions asked in my last email? (below)
Just to clarify, should I be adding the code to the functions.php file in the parent or child theme? Where exactly should it be pasted into the functions.php file? It would be helpful if you can add a screen shot.
Thanks,

Hi Ismael,
1. I think you may have misunderstood my request. I am not trying to have different slide durations within the same slider. I am trying to have different slide durations in two different sliders, but am not able to achieve this (yet) because I had to customize the autorotation time on the first slider. To be specific, my first slider, the “Art that works” animated heading, required a slide duration of less than 1 second, so I had to edit the js file (I believe it was). BUT, this resulted in my Testimonials slide show rotating at the same speed of less than a second, regardless of what timing I choose in the backend setting.
2. As you probably know, that code only changes the text container, not the surrounding pointer window.
1. The problem is I had to set a custom slide duration for the first heading animation slide show and that same timing is getting applied to the second slide show, which requires it’s own unique autorotation
2. If you click on the orange locator icon on the large Google map above my Contact form, you will see the tooltip appears with black type on the white pointer box. If you mouseover the Green phone button below my Contact form, you will see the tooltip appears with white type on a black pointer box. I would like the map locator tooltip to appear as it does on the phone tooltip, with white type on the black pointer box.
Thanks,
TrevorGenius! That’s exactly what I was after. Thanks so much Josue!
Wow. Unfortunately though, that didn’t do the trick. The arrows are not visible at all. I can tell there is something clickable there because the cursor changes to the hand, but I can’t see any arrows at all.
Hi Josue,
Remarkably, to me at least, I was able to get everything working last night by restoring the most recent avia.js file to the js folder. That did the trick. My only question now is:
Is it possible to change the arrow style of the new lightbox from closed triangles/arrows to open arrows (like < and >) so they are consistent with the other arrows used in blog and portfolio entry navigation?
Thanks,
TrevorHi Devin,
After replacing the theme files thatI had edited, I’m back to square one with the lightbox not working properly again. Clicking on a portfolio image just opens the large image on a blank new page instead of in the new lightbox as it should. Grrrr.
FYI, I’ve already tried deactivating all plugins. Didn’t make a difference.
Please see access details, etc. in my original post (sent as private data). Thanks,

Perfect! That did it. Thanks very much!
I decided to move the “Logged in” line flush right and move the “Got thoughts? Leave a comment” heading down. I adjusted the bottom margin of the heading to do this, but that results in a major mess when viewed on a phone. Please let me know the correct way to achieve this.
Still need help with #2:
2. Could you please tell me how to put the two “Notify me…” lines and checkboxes that are below the “Post Comments” button onto a single line? i.e. Move “Notify me of new posts by email” up and right so it is on the same row as: “Notify me of follow-up comments…”
Here’s a link to a page with the comments window site: http://trevorjohnston.com/wordpress/portfolio-item/biolite-campstove-2/
Thanks much,

Ok thanks, I will try that. I’ve been nervous about updating as I’m not entirely positive I’ve properly created the Child Theme.
