d like to share that updating the problematic admin user password fixes the problem. This resaves the users roles and permissions that are set by default for this account.Lyse

I have found this ticket #339450 where mslaiter another participant tried this:“…. I created a new user and gave it admin rights. I logged out of the site and logged in with the new user name. This immediately gave me access to the avia layout builder without spinner of death. …”
Well all seems to work after I did this, including the media uploader that also had the “spinning circle of death”.
I don’t know how this could happen, that the admin user account gets corrupted. This is very strange.

When I switch theme, not problem with the media uploader. When I reactivated the Enfold Child Theme, the Avia Builder does not work.
Now is is really necessary to deactivate all plugins?

I also cannot add featured images when I add products or add any media on posts.
If I choose to add images via the media uploader, it works fine!
We need a fix for this quickly as it makes it hard to do any work on pages, posts, products …..Much appreciated

I did change the font size for the H2 element in the Advanced Styling. The link you sent me talks about the color, so you say this applies to the font-size or any other CSS changes applied in the Advanced Styling. I don’t particularly want to change any of the core files so will continue to apply these manually. If there’s going to be a fix later that would resolve this, I will remove my manual CSS then.

Hi Devin,
It would appear that Rhoody, another participant, also reported similar issues on October 6. One of his solution, using the arrow keys to move scroll back up or down on the frozen screen, helped be at least go back to the update button to save my changes instead of me having to refresh the screen and loosing my edits. He is also correct as to when this happens: “…triggered when closing a text-block (or code, etc) without saving, using the “x” to close it, after copying a text or code -for example- but not changing anything.”This also happens on different computers and using different browsers.
I have installed Enfold on a different server. When I close a text block using the ” X” I was able to replicate the problem. The arrows keys save me from loosing all of my changes! I have just the basic plugins installed with WordPress, so that eliminates plugin incompatibilities.
Thank you for all of your help and patience. I understand the frustrations of narrowing down an issue when you can’t replicate it at your end. Have you tried closing the text block using the X. Try it a couple of times to see if it freezes.

I have enabled the advanced layout building debug within my functions.php under my child theme.
Although I still have intermittent freezing issues, (1) I use the arrow keys to at least move up to the UPDATE button to same my changes; (2) I’m able to copy code between pages and within the same page. This is a lot more efficient for me. I am aware of the risk but I’m being extremely careful.

I used my iPad this time. Never been on the site before. When I look at the site vertically, I don’t see the main menu, when I flip horizontally, I see the menu options.
So clearing the cache this not fix the problem.

That CSS code fixed the middle mega menu (collection), but not the one on the far right (the last menu option Resources).
