Hi Ismael,
you can’t just change our permalink structure without asking me first! This has a big impact on our SEO profile! I have just changed the permalink structure on https://website/%postname%/! I did NOT want to have the categroy in the link here. That’s how we used to have it in the past. Such a change results in extensive 301 redirects in the htaccess! This change that you have made, you should have agreed with me before! I am really speechless about this frivolous change. You don’t read my questions properly at all and apparently don’t understand what the bug is! Would it be possible to talk to someone who speaks German? I am afraid that there are big language barriers here.
Sandra
Hello, Victoria,
I don’t quite understand what you’re trying to tell me. I have set up a WordPress test system, where I made the same permalink settings as we did with our live system. There we created the post with https://mywebsite/postname and the category with https://mywebsite/category/mycategory. The live system does not work like the test system.
Could you please also take a look at my second question again, which I wrote in my private content?
Thanks and greetings

Hi Victoria,
thanks for your message about the base category. I’m afraid you misunderstood me. I know how to configure the permalink and also how to customize the base URL. But the settings for the base URL do not work on my site! Could you please have a look at this again? The other question please see in private content.
Thanks again,
SandraHi Victoria,
two questions are still not solved:
1. By default, WordPress is configured to have a category URL for posts that looks like this: https://mywebsite/category/mycategory. The subfolder “category” is set by default for the categories. But not in our WordPress. I then entered “category” and “tag” manually under Settings > Permalink for the taxonomies. But still the URLs are not displayed correctly. Can you explain why?
2. If you click on the category of a post in the breadcrumb, all blog posts that are not in the category will be displayed on this overview page. I’ll add some links at the bottom of the private content where you can see that blog posts from other categories are also displayed.
Best regards
SandraHi Victoria,
I’m sorry for the confusion. I actually made a mistake with the username. It’s just as I wrote in private content. Then could you look at the problem with the category subfolder again?
The problem with the text excerpt is now solved. Thanks for that! But I also have a new question: The assignment of the categories doesn’t work. When I click on a category, the posts from other categories are also displayed. Could you please have a look at this again? Thanks!
Best regards
SandraHi Victoria,
I would like to extend the length of the class “slide-entry-excerpt entry-content”. And I would like to show the author and category at the first section of this page like at your demo page: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-2017/blog/ (i.e. entries “A schmall gallery” or “A nice entry”). Could you help me in this case, too?
Best regards
SandraHi Victoria,
in this case, another question came up: I would like to display blog posts on a page with title and text excerpt. However, no excerpt is shown (I insert the URL below). Could you please have a look at this as well? Thanks!
Sandra
Hi Mike,
thanks for your help. The Plugin is a good idea. It works! Thanks a lot.

SandraHi Victoria,
where do I add custom html to the menu item? I’d like to add this symbol “\ue80a” to the menu item “Mein Konto” in our top navigation (please see our website below in private). But I don’t understand, how I can do this.
Thanks again for your help.
Sandra
This reply has been marked as private.Hello, Victoria,
thanks for your answer. This describes the procedure for the social icons. But this was not my point. I would like to display a normal menu item (in our case the item “Mein Konto” => my account) not as a text, but as an icon. In the Enfold 2017 Theme the item “Shop” is not displayed as a text but as an icon. How do I configure this?
Many greetings
SandraPS: It has nothing to do with the iFrame. If I delete it and then save both pages, this has no influence on the display of the pages.
Hi Victoria,
thanks for your reply! Yes, the pages should be actually the same, but when you open the pages, you can see that the green area on one side extends over the whole page and on the other side is in boxed design. However, the two sides are configured completely identically. Would you like to have a look at the pages in our WordPress backend?
Best regards
SandraThanks, it works! The one page I pasted in “private content” doesn’t need this setting, Do you know why?
Hi Kriesi team,
yes, we are using the latest version of Enfold. As requested, please find the information in private content.

SandraHi Yigit,
I am looking forward to receiving an answer…

SandraHi Yigit,
did you have a look in our account?
Best regards
SandraHere you are.
Okay! Please tell me your E-Mai-Address.
Hi Yigit,
sorry but it does not work. The design switches too late. And also the word-break does not work. Please see the enclosed screenshot.
Thank you for helping again.
Regards
SandraHi Rikard,
that does not work. The text is still cut. But I think, what we need is that all sides change earlier to a mobile view. What do I have to paste in the quick CSS to change at higher resolutions to mobile view so that the textboxes are on top of each other?
Thanks an regards
SandraHi Yigit,
no, the line is still visible. But it is ok. At nomal screen sizes you do’ nt see it.
Regards,
Sandra
Hi Elliott,
thanks, that works! Now there is just a new line that you can see if you make the window smaller (please see the enclosed screenshot).
Do you know how I can hide this line?
Regards
Sandra
Hi Andy,
thanks, that works! Ismael forgot to insert the sign > before and after “a”. That was the reason why it did not work.
If I click on this menu item, there is also the bottom line in green: https://tredition.de/leistungen-self-publishing/
But on this link, the bottom line is not highlighted. What else do I have to insert in the quick CSS?Thanks for your help!
Sandra
Hi Ismael,
thanks for your reply! I inserted the code but now all items in the submenu have the same color! Normally the color ist #303030. But now all items under the active menu get the new color!
Furthermore the green buttom-border is missing that you can see if you klick on the main menu item for example the link bellow in the private data.
This are the current codes for the main menu I inserted in the Quick CSS:
.header_color .main_menu .current-menu-item > a > span.avia-menu-text { color: #46a57b !important; background-color: #edf3f0 !important; } #top .av-main-nav li a:hover .avia-menu-text { color: #46b57a !important; } .active-parent-item a .avia-menu-text { color: #46a57b !important; }

Hi Yigit,
no, unfortunately not. It is just the case if the main menu link is the same of the submenu (each main menu item is forwarded to one item of the submenu). Please click to another item of the submenu. Then you will see that the main menu is not highlighted anymore.

Sandra
At my version it’s line 8, but the solution works!
Thanks a lot!!
This reply has been marked as private.Hi Yigit,
we now realized that it is not possible to make changes at our live website because we already updated WordPress to 4.0 and now it does not work with the current enfold version! The editor in pages is not working. But I can’t update enfold unless we solve the above mentioned design problems at the devoleper website.
So I would appreaciate if you could answer quite soon.
Thanks in advance!
Sandra
