Hi, see below.
RegardsHi, see below
I understand, which is why I’m wondering how I got it to work in the past. It used to work well. The new editor is useless :(
And now that I have downgraded to 4.8, I see spacings within existing posts have increased making them not so pleasing. Eg: https://themetrorailguy.com/2022/09/04/all-turnouts-cast-for-bangalore-metros-whitefield-extension/
I love the Shoutbox theme, but I guess it’s time to retire it. Do you have any suggestions for something similar?
I’m looking through my notes. I was using WordPress v5.4.2. I switched to it using WP Downgrade, but again – I cannot access the New Post page. Is there a way to go back to using it?
Thanks Mike. I switched to PHP 7.1 and WP 4.8, and that did the trick. Now the images are loading and I can access the ‘New Post’ page.
However, when I go to add a new post, the editor is super old. When I type something in the post body, the text doesn’t show up. Only when I highlight it using the mouse can I see what I’ve written. remember using a block editor with my old host. Is there a way to get that back?
Thanks again Mike! I took a look at the compatibility chart here: https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/references/php-compatibility-and-wordpress-versions/
Can I do the following after backing up to resolve the critical error as well as the image error?
1. First downgrade to PHP to v7.2
2. Then downgrade WordPress to v4.9.21 (or would you recommend 4.8?)Thanks
KDHi Mike, thank you so much for your response. I have not made any changes yet. However, when I click on ‘+ new post’, I get the following error: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
My current PHP version is 7.3.33 and WordPress Version is 6.0.2.
If I downgrade to WordPress 4.8, will the shoutbox theme be able to run? The only PHP versions I can change to on cPanel are 7.1 and 7.2
Just wanted to clarify before I downgrade to WordPress 4.8. I don’t want it to break the site.
Thanks!

Update: nevermind! I got it to work. I’ve started playing with the developer tools to find out the target names :)

July 13, 2020 at 6:49 pm in reply to: Shoutbox – Disable 18 Additional Images from being generated #1230048How can I change the font of the ‘Quick Snapshot’ section in the sidebar? I’ve got a plugin where I can apply fonts, but don’t know what element to apply to. I’ve tried .Sidebar and .Sidebar1, but no luck. I’d like to match it with the ‘RECEIVE INSTANT EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS’ section’s font.

July 13, 2020 at 3:04 am in reply to: Shoutbox – Disable 18 Additional Images from being generated #1229820Mike, can we do the same thing for the long rectangular advertisement (5th from the top / 2nd from the bottom) in the sidebar?

July 12, 2020 at 10:05 pm in reply to: Shoutbox – Disable 18 Additional Images from being generated #1229798Thanks Mike! That worked! Now my next task is – how do I get rid of the white space in the widget box? I’ve added a custom HTML widget and added Google adsense code within. See screenshot in private content.
