Hi Mike,
thank you for trying to help! This will work as a temporary solution or at least make my life easier, while I keep looking for a permanent solution.
.
Do you think that a database approach could work? I wouldn’t mind manually running DB queries, if that’d work.December 6, 2018 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Column Links: BIG problem regarding anchor texts & SEO #1041636Hi Mike,
I figured it was only for screen readers by looking at the name of the class you mentioned. However, from an SEO standpoint this is still a critical issue, as you can imagine. If someone’s really serious about their SEO they pretty much can’t use column links on important pages.

The workaround does work perfectly fine and I’ll keep using it for now, but being able to set anchor text for the column links is definitely a feature worth adding, at least in the long run, in my opinion.

And yes, you may close this thread. Thank you again for your help :)December 5, 2018 at 7:16 pm in reply to: Column Links: BIG problem regarding anchor texts & SEO #1041345That worked like a charm, thanks Mike!
Are you guys adding this as a feature to a future release of enfold?-
I forgot to mention this:
When I test the gallery pages, I’ve noticed that ALL the images are being loaded as soon as you load the page, which truly surprised me. I was under the impression that if I set my gallery to Big Preview Image, No Thumbnails that all the other images would NOT be loaded until a user clicks on a gallery and opens the lightbox. Do I have to enable lazy loading somewhere in the settings or is this just how the gallerys work?

I’ve attached a WebPageTest result for one of the pages in question. In the waterfall view you can clearly see how the entire gallery (all the images) are being loaded, even though they’re “hidden away” in the lightbox.September 7, 2018 at 3:14 pm in reply to: [GDPR] Tracking Pixels Firing AFTER Visitor has Accepted Cookie Policy #1007136Thanks Dude,
may I ask why you guys have decided not to give us the option to delay the loading process? Was it too big of a challenge to implement that into Enfold or is it just not necessary to have this feature to make your site GDPR compliant?August 31, 2018 at 8:14 pm in reply to: Missing Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Response Header #1004210Seems like forcing https has fixed it. Didn’t even think of that at first.
Thanks to everyone trying to help me out.August 29, 2018 at 3:34 pm in reply to: Missing Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Response Header #1003189Didn’t help. I’m already seeing it again on Google Chrome.
EDIT: Ok, could it be that because neither my domain settings nor my .htaccess file were specifically forcing an https-connection, that when I type in “mydomain.de” in the URL bar (no “https, no “www”) that in some cases I landed on the HTTP version of it, which then triggered the CORS error, because the fonts were on https://mydomain.de but I was visiting http://mydomain.de?
I’ve enabled “Force HTTPS” in my domain settings now. I’ll wait and see if the issue pops up again or if this has finally resolved it.- This reply was modified 6 years, 2 months ago by tixxpff.
August 29, 2018 at 2:04 pm in reply to: Missing Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Response Header #1003144Okay, I just checked Chrome to see what the error message says there and I think I figured it out. The CORS error message in Google Chrome reads like this:
Access to Font at ‘https://MYDOMAIN/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/muli-v11-latin/muli-v11-latin-regular.woff’ from origin ‘http://MYDOMAIN’ has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://MYDOMAIN’ is therefore not allowed access.
My website is running on https:// but for some reasons the fonts seem to be loaded via http://
I’ve used a plugin to search & replace any instance of “http://MYDOMAIN” and changed it to “https://MYDOMAIN” and I’ve also re-imported the Google fonts. The cache had to be deleted, too, so you probably won’t see the issue anymore now.
I’ll update this thread in case this actually solved the problem or if I still need assistance.
Thank you!August 29, 2018 at 1:57 pm in reply to: Missing Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Response Header #1003135Hi Ismael,
the font files should be on the same domain. I uploaded them via the enfold font importer. Also, it’s not just the custom fonts I uploaded, but some of the enfold standard font files seem to be affected, too. And I’ve never even touched those.
The issue is happening again by the way. You may have to clear your browser cache to see it.
Just in case you still can’t see the issue in your browser, I’ve pasted the exact warning messages FireFox is giving me in the box below.August 4, 2018 at 3:56 pm in reply to: Color Section affecting Google Pagespeed Insights Rating #993520Hi Rikard,
feel free to close it. My issue has been resolved :)August 3, 2018 at 7:39 pm in reply to: Color Section affecting Google Pagespeed Insights Rating #993348Hi Ismael,
thanks for clearing that up. That’ll help me to fix it.August 2, 2018 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Color Section affecting Google Pagespeed Insights Rating #992972Hi Ismael,
yes I did and yes I do use additional minification plugins. I’ll disable everything now, so you can take a better look at it.Regards
July 30, 2018 at 3:21 pm in reply to: Color Section affecting Google Pagespeed Insights Rating #991539Hi Ismael,
by “roundtrips” I was referring to what Google PSI shows me in its report. Apparently it takes one request to load the color section and then another one to load the content inside it.
There’s a link to the Google PSI report (and my website) in the box below so you can check for yourself. I’m referring to the “Prioritize visible content” bullet point in the mobile section of the report. Thanks!
July 29, 2018 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Color Section affecting Google Pagespeed Insights Rating #991168Hi Ismael,
thanks for your reply, but that doesn’t answer my question at all. Like I said, I’m not struggling with getting a good performance score in general, I know how to do that I was asking about a very specific element (the color section) and its effect on the Google PSI score and if there was a way to improve the pagespeed/reducing the number of roundtrips needed to load the content inside the color section.
Thanks
Thank you so much!
Also, I’m very happy you guys have decided to add this feature to the core files.January 29, 2018 at 12:41 am in reply to: [Follow-Up] Make Entire Blocks (Columns) clickable #903981*PUSH*
Still hoping for an update.Sorry for not replying, but the project got cancelled, so my question wasn’t relevant anymore. However, this problem still persists and you guys might want to look into this, in case anyone’s ever in the same situation as me and is looking for a solution.
You can close this topic, if you want.
Thank you.I know this topic is quite old, but it seems like this issue never got fixed. I’m having the same exact problem: if I place the main menu (header) in a sidebar and then try to change the width of it in General Layout > Dimensions nothing happens.
Wow.. this problem just solved itself. When I was testing the new account for you I noticed that with this new account everything’s normal. So I’ve created a new administrator account, deleted the old one and everything’s fine now. No idea how or why, but apparently there was a problem with my old admin account after I had replaced a couple of files on my server.
Thanks anyway :)
