September 3, 2019 at 5:28 am in reply to: LayerSlider WP Version 6.9.1 not working in EnfoldVersion: 4.6 #1133197I deleted the LayerSlider plugin, reactivated, deleted through File Manager, reinstalled. Tried everything. No good. I can’t get the bundled version nor the purchased version to work at all now. Open to suggestions and hope I don’t have to start the project over from scratch.

December 22, 2018 at 10:39 pm in reply to: enfold theme admin interface broken after update #1048702Victoria,
I was finally able to get things on track, though I feel vulnerable not knowing when functionality will be restored.
For me, it was the perfect storm: Theme upgrades did not work. I had to manually upgrade to 4.5.2 and then, in some instances, install the Classic Editor plugin to get back on track. Whew.
Thanks for the reply. What is the best way to learn when Enfold will be fully functioning?

Restored my site but will have to better understand the process for the comment and uncomment approach. Any links will be appreciated.
I just hosed my site trying to comment and then uncomment /home/c1218inc/public_html/thenuagegroup.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/contentslider.php on line 394
All I get now is white, whether in public or WP view. I’ve reloaded enfold via FTP and I have the same results. Obviously I did something wrong, won’t try it again, but do you have suggestions for a restoration?
Yigit,
I did as suggested. WordPress was already at 3.9 but I reinstalled anyway.
I replaced the Enfold theme manually (FTP).
This broke the site again but I captured the error message:Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting ‘]’ in /home/c1218inc/public_html/thenuagegroup.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/contentslider.php on line 394
I deleted the Enfold theme folder from wp-content, switched to another theme temporarily, uploaded the theme through the WP interface, activated it and now things work again. But I have more sites to update and would like to know, if it can be known, why the parse error. I was negligent in updating Enfold, would prefer the API Key method, but that was not an option in 1.9
Thank you for you help. If you know why the error I’d love to hear about it.
Brilliant! You I mean. Deleted the extra hashtag and all is well in the world.
Thank you Yigit.
