It looks ok again now. Let’s touch wood that it will stay for good this time!
Thx a million.
Best regards,
ThorstenHi Mike,
I updated Enfold to Version 4.5.4 today, and with that the squeeze, that you had sorted out, is back again. Any chance that you can fix that permanently? Thx.

It still doesn’t work for Quick CSS even if I disable File Compression. But as the code works with css editor and you confirmed I can leave it there I will do so and you can close the issue.
Thx for your support.

ThorstenFebruary 5, 2019 at 9:37 pm in reply to: Links in headers are not represented on web pages as expected #1063334Hi,
– If I put the code in the child theme’s functions.php (Apperance > Editor) file as proposed in post #1061756 I do get an error message (I described that in post #1062073) and other that that it has no effect at all, i.e. it doesn’t work
– If I put the code in the Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS field as proposed it has no effect at all, i.e. it doesn’t work
– If I put the code in the child theme’s style.css file (Apperance > Editor) as proposed it has no effect at all, i.e. it doesn’t work
– However, if I use the link “built-in CSS editor” on the page Apperance > Editor and put the code there it works perfectly well. Now, the point is, I am no expert in all that functions.php, Quick CSS, style.css and “built-in CSS editor” stuff. Three files/locations proposed by you guys didn’t work. Something I found by trial and error worked. But I just don’t want to put the code in the wrong file or location, fixing an issue but then maybe facing problems somewhere else. Pls let me know, if I can put the code in the “built-in CSS editor” and there won’t be any problems with that. Thx.

ThorstenJanuary 31, 2019 at 6:06 pm in reply to: Audio Player does not start automatically on all devices #1061085Hi Günter,
I think it’s not a matter of the device. I have 3 browsers on my smartphone for testing puposes: autostart works with Firefox and Chrome, but it doesn’t with the Samsung Browser. And autostart does not work on the 2 apple devices which I tested, both with Safari browser. I tested Edge on 3 devices and autostart works on all of them. It looks like it’s related to the type of browser. Is there anything you can do from your side to enforce autostart on all browsers?

ThorstenJanuary 31, 2019 at 12:13 pm in reply to: Links in headers are not represented on web pages as expected #1060916Hi Ismael,
thats exactly the point. The links are there, they are working, But you can’t see them on the page as the look the same as the rest of the text, i.e. no underline, no different coulour, no change of colour when hovering.
Pls scoll up to #1059421 of this post, login to my web page in WordPress with the credentials provided there, go to any of the pages I listed there and you can see which parts of the text I have defined as link and then compare with the actual aspect of the relevant page.
I think with that you will understand my problem.
With regards to your comment on “Advanced Styling Panel”: I do not want to alter the styling of H3 for example, but I want links within an H3 text to be visible/represented as links on my pages.
Thx for your support

ThorstenJanuary 28, 2019 at 1:18 pm in reply to: Links in headers are not represented on web pages as expected #1059605Hi Vinay,
Sorry for unclear description. I will try once again.
The issue is not about links from the main menu to my pages, that works all well and as expected. No problem.
The issue is with links in the text on my pages to other pages of my web site. I used header format H2, H3 and H4 for the text.
I would have expected the following apperance of the links on my pages:
a) the link text is underline > except for 2 pages it’s not underline. No clue why it works for 2 pages and it doesn’t for the others.
b) the link text changes it’s colour as defined in the setting when hovering > no colour change, colour stays unchanged
I would have expected the same appearance and behavior as the links in the footer of my pages. With this, the visitors of my website do not know if and where there are any links the text of my pages and subsequently they won’t find them and click on them.
Pls have a look to one of my pages and the relevant definition of the very same page in Enfold and you will understand my issue for sure.
Best regards
Thorsten

In the meantime I have tested some further devices with the following results:

that sounds like a good workaround, I will do that.
Thx for your patience helping me to sort out the isse issue with a good result.

ThorstenThis reply has been marked as private.Hi Rikard,
I did that. However, no change, content is still squeezed like before.
Shall I change the settings back to “enable” and empty the ckeckbox for “Delete old CSS and JS files?” again?

Yes that works well, but I can only either display a message on the page, e.g. “Your message has been sent”, or redirect. If I use “redirect” and I want to send a confirmation email to my client it does not work because of the coding I added in the function.php (refer to your message #1048477 above). The email does not go to the clients address he typed into the form, but to my business email address. Is it possible to modify the coding in such a way that a) the client’s message goes throught to my business address and b) my automatic confirmation goes to the clients email address?
Best regards
ThorstenJanuary 6, 2019 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Contact form: Email rejected due to AOL's DMARC policy #1050557Yes, it looks like a Firefox thing. Crome also worked well without any issues!
I think redirect to the homepage which would force users to reload by having to go to the contact page again would be a good workaround. How would I do that? Would I need a coding (function.php?) for that?December 23, 2018 at 2:02 pm in reply to: Contact form: Email rejected due to AOL's DMARC policy #1048796Hi Mike,
I received to messages from your yesterday’s trials: test and test1
I did some further test on my side today with the following results:
On my Smart Phone:
Message 1, refresh , Message 2 => both messages go through, no issue
On a desktop PC (another one than I used for the tests yesterday, even another location and another network!, same browser as with my tests on laptop and desktop yesterday, i.e. firefox):
Message 1 goes through => I receive a confirmation on my contact page “Deine Nachricht wurde versendet” , refresh the contact page in my browser – firefox!,
Message 2 does not go through, I do not receive a confirmation on my contact page, the message does not pop up in my inbox
delete my web page in the browser, repeat the complete exercise => same result!
On the same desktop, but with Microsoft Edge as a browser this time
Everything works perfect, no issue, same as on the SmartPhone!
So it seems to be an inconsitency with Firefox.
Pls let me know if you would still need admin access.
Best regards
ThorstenDecember 22, 2018 at 12:40 pm in reply to: Contact form: Email rejected due to AOL's DMARC policy #1048528Hi Mike,
I found the reason for the strange behaviour. It has nothing to do with the device or with the email address:
With your code if I send out a message from any device where I have newly opened my web page, the message goes through with any email address. If I just refresh/reload the contact page and try to send out a second message it does not work. If I close my web page completely and open it again, I can send out the next message, but again just one message, no second message. Close and open my webpage, one message and so on.
Is there a chance to adjust the code so that multiple messages would work without having to close the webpage? Potential clients would not know this workarround!
Best regards
ThorstenDecember 22, 2018 at 10:51 am in reply to: Contact form: Email rejected due to AOL's DMARC policy #1048514Hi Mark,
I am facing a very strage behaviour now.
I added the code to the functions.php and changed “ (Email address hidden if logged out) ” to my business email.
Now, if I send a message from my Android smartphone with the AOL-email address, it works, emails goes through, sender is my business email and the AOL-email address shows up in the body of the message. Perfect, the code does what I want it to do.
However, if I send a message from either my Windows laptop or my Windows desktop no email pops up regardless if I type the AOL-email into the form or my business-email. If I then delete the code again from the functions.php and type my business email into the contact form no email goes through from either laptop or desktop, and that definitely did work last night before I got the code.
Any idea what may cause that?
Best regards
ThorstenDecember 21, 2018 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Contact form: Email rejected due to AOL's DMARC policy #1048231Hi Mike,
we’re getting closer.
Using my business email address works, i.e. not blocked by domain’s host, no error message, email is going through.
Could you help me with a code that would do the following with the contact form input data before sending it out as an email:
1. Copy the client’s email address from the Email input element to a dumb text element that’s called Email or Sender or From, whatever … and include this into the message, so to let me know the clients Email address so that I can get in touch with him later
2. Replace the client’s email address from the E-Mail input element by a variable that I may define in the code, I would use for example my business Email address for this, because I know it goes through
Would you think that would work to solve my problem?
Best regards
