Thanks for the quick reply!
I have 2.9.2 and 4.0.
The text area shows up on the actual page, but once inserted in the code area, I can no longer edit it.
I am getting the exact error, which I just “filed under” https://kriesi.at/support/topic/code-block-and-form-weirdness/#post-319695
I am running wp4 and the latest Enfold (as a child theme).

Hmmm… I have tried to add/edit the form code line by line and it seems as if it is the textarea field that causes the whole codeblock to go crazy:

<label for=”comment”>Comment:</label>
<textarea name=”comment” required id=”comment”></textarea>
</p>If I have a form without that field then the form still is editable in the code block. But then the question is, how do I add a text area field to my forms?
Super weirdness going on. I removed the 2/5 blocks where I had my text blocks and redid everything again and now it works?!
I am not feeling 100% comfortable with this, but hey, it seems to be working… so far.
