Oh you TOTALLY rock! Thanks so much! That’s just about driven me two clicks from crazy. But I tried exactly what you said and it worked.
Another question for you. How do you make the “Install Plugins” submenu under “Appearance” in the main WP admin menu disappear? It appears to be tied somehow to the LayerSlider WP plugin that comes with Enfold. I’ve looked at this for 2 days and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. It’s a duplication of what’s already under the Plugins menu. Thanks

Yigit,
I believe it has something to do with LayerSlider WP that is installed with the Enfold theme. When you click on the Help link within this WordPress Admin page, it opens a developer link to the LayerSlider. This isn’t one of my other plugins.Kim
I missed something before. Your line of code: define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_MODS’,true); not only hides “Install Plugins” under the Appearance Menu, it also makes “Installed Plugins” and “Add New” disappear under “Plugins.” I don’t want the submenu items under “Plugins” to disappear, just the one under “Appearance.” There’s no reason to have the “Install Plugins” listed twice.
Thanks but I don’t want to use a plugin. What are the file names for those Enfold specific menu items? I have the code I need to reorder the menu items. I just need the file names. Thanks Kim
Excellent! Worked great! Thank you.
One other question…I want to change the order of the menu items. I don’t know how to reference: Enfold Theme, Portfolio Item, Layer Slider WP. Can you tell me what the .php file names are for each of those or whatever name I’m supposed to use? Thanks Kim
Thanks Yigit,
I tried your code and it works, but you only gave me instructions to remove “Customize.” I figured out how to get rid of “Editor” using the “unset” line above with [101], but I don’t have a corresponding number for “Install Plugins.” How do I get rid of that menu item? Thanks KimPosted image here: http://imgur.com/jsIf49i
On the page I’m on right now on your support site, not only is the background of the search box red, so is the bottom of the circles around our profile images, the names under our images, and the url addresses in both of our posts. The text isn’t red, but there is a red box around each of those elements.
Thanks. I found it, but it doesn’t work. When you click on the edit button and the edit screen displays, the image doesn’t display. There is the broken image icon. I’ve tried resizing the image and it gives an error message this can’t be done. ?
Thanks. Increasing the PHP memory allocation seemed to have done the trick. Page is now showing. Appreciate all the speedy replies to this issue.
What exactly do I want to ask them or tell them to do?
Nope. That doesn’t work either.

We did no upgrading of any plugin in that time. We are using the latest versions of Akismet (2.5.9), Gravity Forms (1.8.4), W3 Total Cache (0.9.3), and WordPress SEO by Yoast (1.4.24). I find it very odd that this is only two pages that are affected and the other one we solved by shortening the page title. It’s just in the blog posts. This is not happening on site pages.
