The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.

I will wait to hear back from my hosting company.

I’ve emailed my hosting provider to ask them about PHP mail. I tried to use the mentioned plug in, but it would not work either. Any other ideas to check if they say PHP mail is working fine?
