    Worked perfectly! Thank you!!

    Thanks for the update. Once isolated to cache, I could figure it out. I have turned off the cache for now, will let everything expire, then turn it back on. I am still curious as to how it happened, but I’m happy it is fixed. Thank you for your help. Cheers – Ted

    THANK You!! I see that everything is working. I didn’t see the fix in the user-accessed CSS, so I suppose you made it elseware. But your next revision won’t break it since it will be incorporated. I have spent probably 4 or so hours trying to troubleshoot this on and off over the last few weeks. You guys are great!

    Ted

    Rikard,

    Thanks for helping. The plugin is “Customer Reviews for WordPress” also known as custrev. You showed a link in the private area, but it was pointing to dynamic_avia. You’re right–there is no star.png image in that directory–but I don’t believe that is the correct location. Isn’t Avia part of the theme – versus the plugin?

    I have already checked for the graphics. in the customer-reviews-woocommerce/img directory. There are about 10 different star png images. So they are there. Plus, when I switched themes to the WordPress twenty nineteen theme, then all the stars showed up. That’s how I confirmed it had something to do with the Enfold theme.

    I fixed the user name and posted the credentials below.

    Thanks – Ted

    Ok, I had cloudways working on the cache issue last night. I have cleared every cache, including all server cache. I have turned off the cache pluglin. I have tested incongnito on three browsers. I am still having problems with chrome and edge, but firefox seems to be ok. Odd that it is ONLY the colored background images that are causing the problem (but they are on most of the pages). How is chanimal.com looking on your side?

    This has been resolved. Thank you!

    The latest 4.8.6 did not fix the accordion problem. I was using the following settings:

    Styling
    – Minimal
    – Define Custom Colors
    – Define custom colors – #fffffff (white)
    – Background color: #222222
    – Define Custom Colors (for Hover) – then I set the colors I wanted
    It worked when I originally set it up–but the hover shows white text on a white background (although that is not what was used)
    So this error was not fixed with the 4.8.6

    Workaround
    – Instead, I just kicked everything to default. It is now all visible. It doesn’t use the custom colors I selected–but good enough. Problem solved for now… but there was something that changed (around 4.8.4) and broke my custom settings and it is still there–but this is fixed enough for now.

    Thanks

    Richard – Nikko fixed the problem on the ChanimalUniversity.com site with 4.8.4. My question was whether or not I could update the theme to the 4.8.6 and if it would break the fixes Nikko made (did 4.8.6 do a general fix the incorporated Nikko’s fix?).. Perhaps Nikko could explain what he did–and then I will know whether it is safe to click the update–or if it is not covered and I should wait.

    The accordion FAQ on the bottom of this page: https://chanimal.com/certified-channel-manager/#toggle-id-9
    The text goes to white when you hover over it. The text STAYS white once you are on the tab. This is NOT how it was setup. It uses colors and none of them are working.

    In addition, when you click the according to close it or click any other of the according selections, it jumps to the top of the entire page (I used to just open the next accordian).

    This happened with the latest WordPress 5.8 and Enfold 4.8.4 (used currently). I just staged the site and tried it with the 4.8.6 update hoping the accordian error was fixed. It is not fixed with the latest version.

    Hi Nikko,
    I got notice of an update to the Enfold theme to 4.8.6. How will this update affect the fix you made to my site? Should I update?
    Thanks – Ted

    Thank you! So, what caused this error? I use the Enfold theme with dozens of my clients. Should I expect this error else ware (I don’t see it on any of the other sites so far), or was the learning site unique?

    I have received the same error, “There has been a critical error on this website.” It affects my site that contains LearnDash courses ($2,000 each)–and my users can’t get in. I am running the latest WordPress and the latest updated theme. This error is NEW (folks were in–then I updated and got this error).

    This is URGENT.

    Here is the page: https://chanimaluniversity.com/courses/certified-channel-manager-course/

    Here is the error message from my server error log:

    [Thu Jul 29 02:42:37.293118 2021] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 23152:tid 139723422701312] [client 114.119.130.168:32564] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 1 passed to aviaShortcodeTemplate::unique_css_element_…………..pps.com/zcepcmambb/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/class-shortcode-template.php(374): aviaShortcodeTemplate->element_styles_defaults()\n#2 /home/580796.cloudwaysapps.com/zcepcmambb/public_html…’

    I have turned off all but the critical plugins (the actual course), and there is still the same error.

    My site already has code snippet Plugin with an existing fix/work around for LearnDash–that addresses a problem with Enfold. I even turned that off and on with no change.

    Another problem with the colors (same config as above). The Accordion is having a similar problem holding the colors within the settings. See the FAQ on my site that uses the accordion on the bottom of this page: https://chanimal.com/certified-channel-manager/

    When you highlight the FAQ, the Custom Hover Background Color is not working. It stays the same color and the Hover Font Color changes to white, but the background does not change to the dark chocolate color. I left the mistake (vs trying to correct it) so you can see what is happening.

    Here is similar FAQ section on the sister site that has NOT been updated (uses WordPress 5.7.2 and 4.8.3 of the Enfold theme) : https://chanimaluniversity.com/#toggle-id-2 (see the FAQ in the middle of the page). This is how it should look.

    Below are the settings at the Chanimal site:
    Custom Hover Background Color
    Select a custom hover background color. Leave empty to use the default
    Color value: #594e4a (but the custom background goes to white instead)

    Custom Hover Font Color
    Select a custom hover font color. Leave empty to use the default
    Color value Default (white)

    BTW – this appears to be intermittent. The same combination of background (with a gradient) is on https://chanimal.com/channel-consulting/ (where the micro consulting title is). This is what the home page image looked like before–but it won’t work if I set it up the same way. I refreshed several times without a problem. Interesting…

    I created a new thread here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/learndash-and-enfold-problems-with-quiz-as-admin-and-as-user-freezes/

    LearnDash and Enfold – Problems with Quiz as Admin and as User freezes

    in reply to: Learndash Quiz Results Display Issue – 2.0 #1230821

    I have an identical problem with LearnDash and Enfold and I also get a crash with the code you provided above when I put it in my functions.php file. Only my error says, “There has been a critical error on your website.” (English–not translated from German as RawoAT stated his was).

    I do not have his code which you describe above in my functions.php file–so I do not think that is the reason for the crash. So it may be the code you supplied that is crashing.

    (BTW, the code he shows looks like it is to increase the default memory and goes in your PHP-config file to increase the memory size as per comments from LearnDash (WordPress default is 40mb, but it needs to be 128mb or higher if you use LearnDash and WooCommerce together).

    An interesting thing happens when your code is installed. After a quiz, LearnDash has a progress bar as it is calculating the quiz results–then it displays the quiz results and the ability to re-take, move on, etc. WHEN it is working correctly. When it is not working, it freezes about 90% through–that is the problem (I can’t continue). BTW, it works fine for about 2 – 3 quizzes in a row and THEN it freezes. So you must continue that way

    When I added your code, the test shows the results immediately and allows me to continue–but the progress bar still freezes at about 90% (again, you have to take 2 – 3 quizzes in a row before this happens (seems to work fine the first few times). Because the bar freezes–it may show the test score and display the buttons, but it may have not have written the results to the database. So it appears to work fine for 2 – 3 more quizzes and then it crashes and gives the “there has been a critical error on your website” error.

    BTW, this is only the behavior when you are logged in as a USER. I did not have the same results when I was logged in as an Administrator. In fact, I had the problem as an Admin and thought it would be the same as a USER. However, my problem as an administrator was resolved with an earlier fix in this forum. All I had to do was add the function,

    dd.course_progress {
    width: 100%;
    }

    I added this code to the theme’s “Quick CSS” section. When I did EVERYTHING worked fine for the ADMIN.

    But logging in as a user gave me the same problem–and your code fixed it (sort of), but then crashed the site.

    BTW, the support team at LearnDash worked on this off and on for several times (logging into my site). We turned all the plug-ins off but LearnDash and WooCommerce. They then used another theme and everything worked flawlessly. They tried a second basic free WordPress theme and everything worked flawlessly.

    So it was definitely something with Enfold. I also turned off the performance features, all cache is turned off, all plugins were turned off except WooCommerce (required) and LearnDash–and it was something in the theme. This ONLY happens when both of these two high-resource plugins are working–but they work together on THOUSANDS of sites just fine–so again, back to the Enfold theme.

    I have been struggling with this for over a month! I just continued adding my content, but now I am at an impass–if I want to keep the Enfold theme. I’m not using a child theme because I have never had a problem with Enfold enough to have to modify any of the original files–but I was willing to set it up if this fix worked (but it didn’t)–but I’m fine if we install it.

    I still have the QuickCSS code installed:
    dd.course_progress {
    width: 100%;
    }

    I have included login, etc. credentials in the private content below. Please document any changes.
