Hi Ismael,
Thank you! That worked.
I am using custom excerpts so that I can customize the text for each ‘read more’ link via the shortcode.
Thanks again, this ticket can be closed.
Best,
DougHey Elliot – awesome! That’s perfect. The shortcode option is exactly what I was looking for.
Cheers,
DougFebruary 4, 2016 at 12:05 pm in reply to: Grid Layout default to Title and Excerpt + Read More Link #577717Hi Vinnie, I have been able to achieve what I needed via a different route, using the Multi Author layout. Thanks anyway! This topic can be closed.
This topic can be closed – I have been able to mimic the grid 2 column style on the Multi Author layout.
Thanks! This topic can be closed now :)

Hi Rikard,
Unfortunately I won’t be able to provide a temporary login – the development/setup is on a local machine.
Perhaps a fuller description might help?
I have a page set up with 2 1/2 page layout elements. Inside each is a blog content element, set to display 4 posts in multi-author style. The offset is each set to avoid duplicates appearing on the page (I have tried different settings without much luck).
One blog element is set to enable pagination, however when clicking through to page 2, only one of the blog elements on the page is updated with different posts. The other remains the same.
The reason I am taking this approach rather than using the ‘Grid’ layout, is that the meta information for the multi-author layout (especially the author profile images) more closely matches the design we’re trying to create for our blog.
I hope this information helps!
Thanks,

Thank you for your response. In fact, I need to change the default for all category pages, which I think means I’ll need to do something to the Child Theme template files in order for it to have the intended effect.
Thanks in advance,
DougHi Josue,
It’s still in development I’m afraid, so I won’t be able to post a link.
I’m refering to an Enfold Blog grid – and looking for the location in the PHP files where the meta is called from for index/category pages.
Thanks for your help,
DougHi Elliot – thanks for clearing that up. Any place I can add that as a feature request?
Hi Elliot,
Doh! Should have tried that first! Thank you for your help.
Best,
DougHi Elliot,
Thank you for your response. I’m having trouble finding “multiple author blog grid style” – I can only seem to select “multi-author” (which is a single column), or “grid” which has the 2 column style I’m looking for.
Am I overlooking something?
Thank you again for your help.
