Update – after importing some Demo content, the problem went away, but I’d still like to know, if possible, why the problem was there before importing Demo content? What about the Demo made the problem go away?
Thanks!
Great – thanks so much!
Sorry it took me so long to respond – been out for bit. Thank you very much for your help! :)
May 24, 2016 at 11:38 pm in reply to: Added Google font – not showing in drop down in Theme Options #637807That worked! Thanks! :)
Thank you!! :)
Duh! Thanks so much!
I think I have this working now. Sorry to be a bother. :(
Actually – for mobile, if I change the color code to use an image for the background on mobile, it shows nothing at all. It would seem that I could simply create a different image to use when viewing the site on mobile, but it won’t display.
Here’s what I have for the mobile image (right now, just using the same image – getting that work before I try to create an image that will fit):
/* Home page section images on mobile */ @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { #hometopimage { background: url(https://edwardsvilleinjurylawyer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/bkgd-servicerep.jpg) !important; } }
Works! I had to activate the main theme and then just reactivate the child theme, and that did the trick. :)
Thanks!
Great – thank so much!
Ah – I see. Thanks so much for the response! :)
Hi – I did this, but the sticky menu is still floating part way down the page when you scroll. I need it stay up just below the page title. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thank you sooo much – that might work. I also may be able to just get my client to switch from the plugin he’s used to using for this to yours. :)
That code didn’t work at all, so I put back the code I got previously.
Here are a couple screenshots of mobile view:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wdxronubt04yxjy/Screenshot_2015-10-09-10-48-40.png?dl=0The hotspot image itself is larger and you can swipe left to right to view it, but the rest of the page is confined so when you swipe left or right to view the hotspot image, then there’s a dark grey void above and below it.
Here are the affected pages:

Hmmm – that does help with the image, but it makes the rest of the page look really ugly on mobile. Any way to get the whole page to do that? Or maybe just white where the dark void is on mobile? I don’t see a way to attach a screenshot, or I would.
Thanks!
OMG – can’t believe I forgot that. :)
There are two – these are the links on the development site:

Here are links to these two pages on his current site – these two pages need to behave like this on the new site:

Thank you! :)
September 28, 2015 at 10:41 pm in reply to: How to get products to display with format of the rest of the site #510429WooCommerce is my preference, too. Does this mean, if my client wants to stay with Jigoshop, I’m out of luck?
September 28, 2015 at 10:20 pm in reply to: Home page and columns look horrible – not functioning properly – on mobile #510422That seems to have worked – THANK YOU! I had deactivated all the plugins before with no effect, but this process helped. It was the SEO plugin that was causing the issues! I’m soooo glad! I love Enfold – and your support. :)
September 27, 2015 at 10:27 pm in reply to: Home page and columns look horrible – not functioning properly – on mobile #509751Yes – I guess I should have mentioned that to avoid waiting for response only to ask me that – sorry about that.
Deactivating all plugins had no effect.
The columns where the books are all out of alignment. A couple will stack on top of each other, but they aren’t centered, which looks ugly. Then some are showing a very small image, when all the images of books for that section are the same size. Sometimes it squishes columns together – looks terrible.
The blog grid is not stacking at all on mobile. It’s squishing all four columns together in the same row on mobile, which makes it difficult to read – and unprofessional looking.
The buttons for the Explore the Ships and Meet Mark sections don’t work on mobile. At times, the Meet Mark button works, but not always, and the other one does not work on mobile.
This is an awesome theme, but I’m concerned I’m having problems with it’s responsiveness. Is there a setting I missed somewhere, something dumb I did? How can we get this fixed?
Thanks!
Actually, after a couple more hours of playing with the image sizes themselves, and messing with all the different options/settings, I may have figured it out.
Hi,
My client is on GoDaddy (problem #1). But something we can’t change for now.He was running W3 Total Cache, but I deactivated it for development. He’s also running Wordfence Security, which I’ve noticed has it’s own cache folder.
Hopefully that helps – not sure what I should do.
Thanks!
Yay! Thank you soooo much!
Wonderful – simple. I could have sworn I tried that and it didn’t work, but evidently I’m retarded today.
Thanks so much!
Bah! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. It was of course due to the plugin we’re using to display posts in that section. I was able to use the Simple Image Sizes plugin you suggested to help me, so I hope you don’t feel like you wasted your time on this one. It was helpful to me. :)
Thanks!
No, I don’t. I’m stumped. An example of one that it’s doing this on is about the 3rd or 4th one down – the preview image is cut off at the top, so her head is cut off. Making my client upset and I can’t figure out how to fix it. :( (http://www.thestylestudiobykb.com/)
Thanks!
Thanks! I’m evidently missing something. I added the code and adjusted the size to be what I need for that preview image. I regenerated the thumbnails. Do you mean I need to now to in to every post, remove the Featured Image, and then reset it, or remove the image used for the Featured Image all together from the Media Library?
Thank you for your help and patience. :)
Thank you, but that’s not quite what I was after. It made the small preview pic extremely small, which is not what I want. I was able to get the grey background placeholder the right size, and using the plugin you suggested, I made a custom image and sized it, but as you can see, the image doesn’t fit in the space it needs to. (.fusion-button.button-flat.button-round.button-large.button-custom.button-2).
The layout I have, I have one full post at the top, and then a listing of subsequent posts below that. It’s just this listing that I want to mess with – the full post at the top is fine the way it is. If you could guide me in the right direction to get the small preview images to fill up the space for the grey box/hover effect, that would be awesome.
Thanks!

Thank you! Knew I was missing something obvious. Thanks for pointing me right. :)
