I too have a problem with blog pagination. I followed previous instructions to create my own blog (I have 3 blog post pages on the site, one for news, one for press, and one that is just our blog). None of the blog-related pages will paginate.
Disabling plugins does not work. Nor does increasing allocated memory to PHP.
I guess I’ll have to rely on a 3rd party plugin since they seem to work without problems like this?

The border .sub-menu li { border-bottom: 1px solid #e2e2e2; } worked great.
The height of the sub-menu items however did not change. They show a current height of 65px when I inspect them. I just need to make them less by about 15px.
