HI Ismael,
Yes, I used that and it works for those styles, but I was trying to adapt it so that I could edit the avia-tooltip attached to the fontello icons. I managed to control the size in normal screen mode, but ti doesn’t appear to make a difference on a small screen. See below, thanks
#top .avia-tooltip,
.avia-tooltip .avia-arrow {
background-color: #2b3796;
position: absolute;
min-width: 120px;
max-width: 225px;
border-radius: 10px;
padding: 2px 0;
}@media only screen and (max-width: 989px) {
/* Add your Mobile Styles here */
.avia-tooltip .avia-arrow {
width: 50%;}
}November 8, 2017 at 6:26 am in reply to: Table stacking vertically on mobile screen, but room to be horizontal #874034OK, thanks for the heads-up on the html.
What about my css query wrt avia-tooltips?
Thanks
November 7, 2017 at 6:37 am in reply to: Table stacking vertically on mobile screen, but room to be horizontal #873557Thanks Ismael. I’ve got the debug mode running so I was able to copy it over from the live site.
Can you explain/give example of “invalid html tags” so I can try to avoid this in future please? Could this have been me playing with the table html & css and getting it wrong?
Finally, is it possible to do what I’m trying to do with the avia-tooltips/fontello icons using your css code for the other tooltips as a base?
Thank you
November 4, 2017 at 2:58 pm in reply to: Table stacking vertically on mobile screen, but room to be horizontal #872531Hi Ismael,
I did this, but changed the setting to suit a tablet instead, and all was working fine.
Then I decided to work on the avia-tooltips with the fontello icons so I used your code as base, but not sure I was able to make any difference.
Next thing, I give the table and id and I’m playing with the CSS to try and make the table a little funkier. Didn’t seem to be able to make a difference there either.
At this point I copied the html from one cell to the next to set up the same settings for another instructor and see if I can get his bio into a tooltip. This didn’t work, and then I realised that although I had the instructors details in the html box, on the live page I was still seeing Teresa’s details. So I deleted the cache and emptied the browser cache both of which made no difference.
So I went in and deleted the table but left the button for Warren, and saved his cell. At this point, I saw that I had a similar issue to previously where all the cells had relocated themselves! Please see page.Thanks
November 1, 2017 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Table stacking vertically on mobile screen, but room to be horizontal #871239I’ve just noticed another anomaly in this area.
The tooltip for the instructor’s name on a “normal” page is the width of the button/image and sits below it, with the text on 2 lines. Once the page is reduced to a mobile size the text is now on one line and doesn’t fit the page correctly.
Is it possible to change the mobile view so that it is the same way, or is it to do with the other data now stacked below it?
Also in mobile view there is an issue with the icon tooltips for the left and right columns also being unreadable since they are off the page. I tried switching the text for them to right & left respectively but it doesn’t make enough difference.
Thanks
October 31, 2017 at 11:37 am in reply to: Table stacking vertically on mobile screen, but room to be horizontal #870802Thanks Ismael, that’s the correct one.
Which code was modified?
When I couldn’t get that to work, I was trying the other way to create a similar set up.
So I can now copy the html from the text tab for the remainder of the instructor data?
Thanks
October 28, 2017 at 4:40 pm in reply to: Table stacking vertically on mobile screen, but room to be horizontal #869962OK, cleared the browser cache, reactivated the WP cache plugin and deleted back-end cache too. Deleted the CSS code prior to that, and re-pasted it, and refreshed page, plus tried in other browsers.
Thanks

Thanks, can close this now.
Thanks, can close this now.
OK, thanks. Fingers crossed that does the job!
Yesterday I copied short codes for a few pages. This morning I’ve now completed copying the short codes for all the affected pages, linked them into the menu, and now they no longer exist!
I am now back where I started!
Should I remove the test site, and re-copy the live site to make a new test site?
Please advise.
Have copied the shortcodes to another page, and that now works.
Will wait to hear what may have caused it so I can prevent it happening again.
Thanks
Apologies, I put it in the live site , not the test site!
Done.
Now I’ll start creating new pages, but it’d be good to know what caused it.
So, new pages?
I copied the code, but nothign appears to have changed.
/home/xxxxxxx/public_html/domain.com/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php
open functions.php and copied the code to the bottom.
Hi Rikard, did that.
Changed them to “plain”, and back again, no change.
Changed them to “date & name” and left it there, and tried the pages then, but they still had the same URL.I disabled the cache plugin a week or so ago, if that makes a difference?
Thanks

October 7, 2017 at 2:29 pm in reply to: Submenu with hash in hraf does not toggle in mobile view #861368I’ve just had the same experience. Worked out what I thought the issue was by looking at the pattern of non-functional links in the menu. Nice ot know what caused it, and that in future will be able to go back to using only # in the menu links :-)
OK, so I’ve tried again, and now when I try and open a text element it behaves as if it is a new element.
I’ve disabled the minify and cache plugins while I’m working on this.
Thanks
Magic, just what I wanted, thanks
October 5, 2017 at 7:09 am in reply to: left hand menu item overlaps logo & disappears, & some screen sizes have no menu #860460My apologies Ismael I was so involved in the technical & back-end processes I completely forget the most elementary form of cache clearing!
Thanks for all your assistance & patience :-)
October 4, 2017 at 9:06 am in reply to: left hand menu item overlaps logo & disappears, & some screen sizes have no menu #860040I’m still getting it at certain sizes, and I think it’s to do with people zooming the screen view, so the screen size doesn’t conform to standard sizes.
Other than different devices (27″ iMac Safari & Chrome, Note 4 Android, iPad 2) I also check by changing the size of the browser window to emulate this.
Once the menu disappears, I stop changing the window size and refresh, and still neither type of menu is visible.
I don’t have this issue with Safari only with Chrome on my iMac.
Thanks
October 3, 2017 at 10:47 am in reply to: left hand menu item overlaps logo & disappears, & some screen sizes have no menu #859575Thanks for doing that but I’m still seeing the same issue: a full menu, then a burger menu with normal page, then no menu at all, then a burger menu back with normal screen and then burger menu with mobile screen.
I started by emptying the cache, and updating the page, then refreshed the website page, then deactivated the cache plugin, and repeated.
ThanksOctober 2, 2017 at 8:17 am in reply to: iframe page showing differently in test site to live site! #859133Thanks Ismael, I know what happened – I copied over the CSS from the test site, and forget to do the whole minify empty cache thing in the correct order!
October 2, 2017 at 8:12 am in reply to: left hand menu item overlaps logo & disappears, & some screen sizes have no menu #859131I’ve noticed that somehow I’ve managed to get the page to regress back to a stage where with certain screen sizes there is no menu at all.
October 2, 2017 at 7:12 am in reply to: left hand menu item overlaps logo & disappears, & some screen sizes have no menu #859105Further info – on my Mac, zooming in Chrome has no effect on the view, in Safari, half our logo is obscured by the photo below it on the homepage.
What I have on Safari is happening on Windows laptops when using zoom.Thanks
October 2, 2017 at 6:42 am in reply to: left hand menu item overlaps logo & disappears, & some screen sizes have no menu #859095Hi, sorry to bring this up again, but having transferred the set-up to the live site, we’re now having issues again!
This time it appears to be related to people using the zoom function in their browsers and finding a view that removes both the main menu and the burger menu from their screens.
ThanksSeptember 28, 2017 at 6:41 pm in reply to: iframe page showing differently in test site to live site! #858181Thanks Victoria.
So, it obviously isn’t in the Quick CSS, so where was this code/how do I edit it?
I cloned the live site to create the test one, so how come the live site has code that blocks it?
Thanks
I did look at that but I can’t seem to find a way to simply place a bunch of image elements in one line.
If you look at the page, I have 7 icons I’d like to place in 1 line.
I’ve tried the grid element (max 5), tables, galleries, the lot, but nothing I do will permit me to place 7 icons in a line, with the icon name/caption whatever visible on hover, and then also respond to the screen size.
Essentially, I need them to act like icons, but to be multi-coloured like images.
Thanks
