Hi Yigit, thanks for this. How would I get an image in this overlay?

Thanks for your reply! I’ve placed the link in the private content section.
February 14, 2018 at 9:06 am in reply to: Excerpt or custom field in easy slider and blog overview #912142Hi Basilis, thanks for your reply. I’m not asking you to do the customization, I’m asking to point me into the right direction. For example, in this thread https://kriesi.at/support/topic/adding-custom-fields/ I tried to get more information, but the loop-index.php doesn’t contain
echo $title
anymore. Can you help me with that? Thanks
Hi Victoria, the issue is resolved, thanks!
Hi @Guenni007,
Thanks for the tips! The slider is still work in progress as the website is not officially launched yet. I hope the client also agrees on multiple images.
I see the images overlapping in the bottom right corner! Fun to play with! :)
PS. I know Voorburg, Netherlands is a small country.

Hi @Guenni007,
Awesome! Thanks so much for helping out, it looks great and works super. And best of all, I’ve learned.
Would you mind removing the screenshots for the website? I’m not sure my client would appreciate seeing these. Thanks!
Yep that’s what I did, the box-shadow is OK. But I have two images as background-images; you can see it at the URL.
Wow! :) So no custom CSS needed? I’m impressed!
1 thing remains: I used a color section and a 1/1 container so I could use two background-images. The background-image for the color section is now out of place and I have no idea how to place that one in the right place.
Hi @Guenni007, that’s indeed how I would want the result to be. Did you use any different elements? I can’t exactly find out in the code what is different.
@Guenni007 Correct!
Edit: under 900px it should just be 100% width and under the slider, but that is no problem to fix.

Hi @Guenni007 thanks for your suggestion! @Rikard it’s not working in my testing unfortunately.
I’m using a Full Width Easy slider as my first element under the header in a box layout. Under that I have a color section with a 1/1 element in it, using a header and some text.
Here are the links:
Working with a grid row: #
Not working with a color section: #When you change either browser size or zoom percentage in the browser, the color section goes out of proportion. The intention is to always have it at 90% with a 5% margin left and right and slightly overlapping the slider above (appr. 100px).

Hi Basilis,
I placed it under ‘previous thread’, but here is the complete link: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/negative-margin-for-color-section/
Thanks for helping!

Found it, thanks! :)
Hi Nikko,
OK! Thanks for taking a look, I do have a backup but made too many changes since, so that’s not an option. I’ll rebuild, thanks!
Daniel
Hi Nikko,
Thanks! Hope you can help.
Hi Mike,
I’ve worked it out with your instructions. Thanks, after hours of frustration this is a real delight :)
Cheers!
DanielHi Mike,
That is going in the right direction. I’ve duplicated the page so you can see how it should look, but this element is a grid row and the element I’m trying to put into the right place is a color section.
Cheers,
DanielHi Ismael, thanks for the answer, it works great now!
Hi Yigit,
Thanks! Link is in private section.
Hi Rikard,
I see I posted the wrong link in the first post, sorry! I started with this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/contact-form-in-pop-up-prettyphoto-issue/
Here they use
<a class="open-popup-link" href="#test-popup">Show inline popup</a>
that works perfectly, but when I try to use a button instead of a link, it doesn’t work.Does this explain the situation?
Thanks! You can close the thread, I won’t use the generic selectors anymore!
You can close the topic.
That must have been it. Sorry!
Hi Rikard,
Thanks. If you take a look at the screenshot (in private section) you’ll see that I’ve placed it in the footer with the CSS that you gave me. But the image doesn’t show up. If I remove the absolute positioning (by using the developer tools in the browser) then the image shows but I have no control over the positioning.
The image in a 1/1 element is not an option because I want to show it on each page (except homepage).
Hope you can help!
Regards,
DanielHey Rikard,
Thanks for that. I already tried it with adding the image to a widget but without any luck. Now I’ve removed the background-image and put the image back in a footer widget. What happens if I use the
position: absolute;
is that the image won’t show. If I change it to relative, the image shows but the top and left controls stop working.Regards,
DanielPS: +1 for weekend responses, thanks!

Hi Ismael,
I was trying to avoid using functions.php for this, but using the child theme and the loop-index.php file. It works, thanks!
Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your response. I’ve added the loop-index.php file to my child theme so we can modify it. Can you help me with the file, point me in the right direction?
The site isn’t live yet, so details to log in are in the private section.
Thanks!
DanielHi Ismael,
Thanks for your response. I’ll continue my way to codeable.
Regards,
DanielHi Vinay,
Thanks! If I check the link or version.txt I can see a detailed list of all updates, but not the specific files. Am I missing something?
(The updated option in the theme gave me more headaches than a manual update.)
Regards,
DanielHi Yigit,
Is there a place to see what files exactly are changed? In my experience the best way to update is via FTP, for very small updates (such as 3.8.5) it would be easier do change just the updated file instead of updating the complete enfold folder.
Thanks! Daniel
