Much appreciated!
Hi – it looks like the change I made has taken effect…. there was text on the cart icon – the icon only appears once you add something to the cart – it’s now working as I wanted – thank you very much for the prompt attention – I shall now go and try and learn from what you did!
Ooops – my bad – sorry….
Hi
Thanks for the reply… I’ve tried editing the child css file – but the changes are not taking – I’d appreciate if you could take al ook – there are three things I’m trying to fix…1- the add to car buttons on the cateogry pages – these are b&w and I want them the same as those on the individual product pages
2- the cart icon doesn’t need the MI CARRITO text – it just gets in the way
3 – the € symbol should be to the left of the price and a similar size – 24px
Thanks for the help – there seem to be all kinds of css rules conflicting with each other…
OK – So I made a few changes to the css and managed to get the € sign to show – then I tried a small change to the theme settings and when I refreshed all my changes had gone – I’m assuming because I made the changes to a dynamic css file – which I suspect got rebuilt each time I made a change – so I’m struggling to see how to make a permanent change…. I can’t find anything in the back end which styles any of this….
ThanksI am so sorry for wasting your time…. look what I found within another plug in!!!
.cart_dropdown {display: none !important;}
That does it… I’ve actually left it hidden for the time being as I need the client to check all pricing and get the shipping sorted out… this is the problem with inheriting sites – I have disabled about 15 plugins that were either doing nothing, or were doubling up work another was doing…
Thank you for your help – I hope not to bother you again for a while!
Steve
Please feel free to run whatever tests you need to run… I have tried deactivating that plug in – and it’s sister from ASM – neither made the cart icon appear.
These are two plugins from the courier service and are related to the live shipping calculations – so I’m going to need them… but a priori they do not appear to be causing the problem – perhaps your testing will confirm.
Thanks
Wow… yes – another plug in IP Block
honestly – there were so many layers of plug ins I’m surprised any one could ever get in!
Now disabled….

No disabled….
Sorry . I don’t have access to the ftp- we are still waiting for the other agency to allow us to transfer the domain and hosting…
I’ve deactivated yet another plug in which should let you in at wp-login.php
Please take a look and let me know
Thanks
ooops
Hi – I simply uploaded the purchased copy of the theme and all is working – thanks – I suspect the people who built the site used some kind of pirated version – certainly it was out of date and this explains why they had not made recently requested updates to the site.
Oh well, such is our sector!
Hi Yigit….
That’s what I have done – I’ve bought a new version of the theme and have added the key and everything appears to be working correctly
Thanks for the prompt response….
I posted on the support forum once I’d bought – I’ll run over there and update so you don’t waste time duplicating answers – thanks
