    Thanks for your reply and solution Josue

    but to clarify, as I am a bit blind when it comes to the layout and functions of the Dashboard area

    but should I copy and paste

    add_filter(‘avia_social_share_link_arguments’, ‘avia_add_social_share_link_arguments’, 10, 1);
    function avia_add_social_share_link_arguments($args)
    {
    $args[‘twitter’] = array(“encode”=>true, “encode_urls”=>false, “pattern” => “https://twitter.com/share?text=%5Btitle%5D&url=%5Bshortlink%5D&via=USERNAME”);
    return $args;
    }

    into my Quick CSS window which is located under General settings. If so I already have the following code there.

    article span.fallback-post-type-icon {
    display: none;
    }
    .avia-content-grid-active .slide-image { display: none !important; }

    So should I place the new code in front of or below the existing?

    thanks once again for your help, cheers

    Hi Elliott

    I have found it thanks, it was in theme options – general – dimensions.

    Thanks again

    in reply to: Menu bar issue on mobile device #579342

    Hi Elliott

    Had a look but could not find ‘responsive’ setting button

    Only thing I could find regarding mobile was in header setting and that is selected for mobile and smart phones. Then also in side bar setting menu currently it has show side bar on mobiles ticked and the option below also ticked.

    But have tried unit King these and still no luck.

    Could you tell me where else to look for responsive setting please, thanks

    in reply to: Copy/back up website/theme layout #495281

    Looking at this https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/ and the video it would seem to only copy accross the web content rather than the theme layout, menues and sub menues which is what I was looking for.

    Can you clarify this is the case and if so do you have any other suggested plugins I could try

    thanks

    Hi Basilis

    It looks like it should but sadly when I have tried to run this I get three errors at the scan stage. I fixed the first by changing the settings to Use archive flush and MySQLdump

    But I still get two errors

    Total size and large files

    Tried running a number of times but same messages each time

    Deleted the cache but did not effect the results

    So I tick the box to ignore this and try running anyway and get this message

    Internal Server Error
    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at (Email address hidden if logged out) to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Any ideas what might be causing this and for me to overcome the problem?

    Thanks

    Thanks Elliot for the confirmation on how to do this

    I will give it a go over the weekend, cheers

    in reply to: Enfold 3.0.4 problems #362767

    Thanks for your reply Elliot

    the code you provided has removed the white boxes which were showing above the blog post thanks.

    With regards the format problems I have not created a child theme and I was updating from Enfold version 3 so I have only missed on update. But the problem I think is that when I select Enfold from my dashboard is show the following message

    When I look at my .co.uk version of the website this missing style sheet error message is not there and the website widgets/format loaded in correctly following the up date. So I assume this must be the cause of my problem. But not been experienced in programming I would not know how to resolve this problem. So would we very grateful if you could give me any advice on how to resolve this problem and preventing it happening again

    thanks Alastair : )

    Excellent news to report !

    by deleting the Enfold folder that had the duplicate Enfold folder in there it has corrected the editing problems I was having and I now seem to have full editing functions again and all my dashboard tools are also working

    thanks for all your support and advice I really do appreciate it

    many thanks Alastair : )

    Ok but to clarify as I do not want to make things worse

    I will open Filzila connect to my website
    Open wp content folder
    Open the themes folder
    And delete the enfold folder and all its contents

    Then I will drag and drop a new copy of enfoldforest 3 from my computer and drop that into the themes folder in the wp content folder

    Can you please confirm that that is the correct procedure

    Thanks Alastair

    I have just spotted that when I look at my website wp content folder themes with my FTP a manager the Enfold theme folder has another Enfold theme folder in it.

    I think what I must have done is when dragging and dropping a back up or new version of enfold from my computer in FTP manager dropped it into the enfold folder rather than the Themes folder.

    So this has given me some duplicate files.

    Could this be the cause of the problems I am experiencing?

    And can I simply drag and drop another copy of Enfold 3 into my Themes folder to over write the current Enfold folder that contain the duplicate files?

    Thanks Alastair

    Hello Yigit,and Ismael
    I have downloaded the Enfold version 3 and activated this on my websites and used Ismael code and hey presto the white box has gone which is excellent

    thank you all for your help with this.

    Sadly the broken themes error message has not gone away though

    Broken Themes

    The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a style sheet and a template.
    Name
    Description

    Enfold Template is missing.
    themes Stylesheet is missing

    The other thing I have now noticed on the website http://www.staffordrc.org that is happening again is the Theme options button along the top and all of its drop down do not work and the quick edit button on the top menu which allows you to edit the page you are looking at when selected the page open in the dashboard view but the icon just spins and does not stop to allow you to edit the content.

    This was the original problem I experienced after upgrading to word press 4
    sorry to come back to with more problems …………..

    cheers Alastair

    Thanks Ismeal

    I will have a go this evening when I get home from work

    all the best

    Alastair

    I have also noticed that despite loading up the new rersion of Enfold I have the following messages when I look at Themes via my dash board

    Broken Themes

    The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a style sheet and a template.
    Name
    Description

    Enfold Template is missing.
    themes Stylesheet is missing.

    Not sure how this has happened as I loaded the new Enfold version in via FTP once I had unzipped it and now when I create new pages etc the website format and layout is correct. But is this the real reason I now have pencil icons and if so can anyone please tell me how I can correct this problem

    thank Alastair

    in reply to: Blog posts have changed now I am using 2.9.2 #327761

    Thanks for your quick response Josue

    sadly though this does not seemed to have worked. I tried deleting Yigit’s code and replacing it with yours

    but this just added the pencil icon back in

    So I tried adding both pieces of code and again this removed the pencil icon but left the white boxes

    so still no solution

    my basic css code looks like this
    /* #Basic Styles
    ================================================== */
    .fake-thumbnail .slide-image{
    display: none;
    }

    article span.fallback-post-type-icon {
    display: none;
    }

    html.responsive, .responsive body{
    overflow-x: hidden;

    }

    body {
    font: 13px/1.65em “HelveticaNeue”, “Helvetica Neue”, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    color: #444;
    -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;
    }

    any further suggestions?

    in reply to: Blog posts have changed now I am using 2.9.2 #327621

    Thanks for that Yigit

    that has worked for removing the pencil image but still left the empty white box area the pencil was in.

    Is it possible to remove the white box also so the blog posts are grouped more closely together : )

    thanks
