Heya,
Turned out the database was over quota.
Optimizing the database helped reduce my database from 153mb to 119mb – this immediately fixed the problem
Hi,
I did already say that I’ve tried updating WordPress, which didn’t work.
Turned out that my database was 3mb over quota which was causing:
1. changes not to be saved
2. plugins unable to deactivate
3. any kinda database query to runNo it’s not :(
The version is 3.9.9, so not too old, but in fairness not the newest!
I tried to reinstall and it’s not taking the update
Wordpress isn’t allownig me to deactivate plugins or save any changes in the admin area either which is strange…
Okay I manually updated the theme, then wordpress
Then I got stuck in a never-ending loop of ‘update your database’ then click continue and it’d ask me to update again
Good job I had backed up the site.
Any idea how I do this moving forward?
Heya,
I’m purposely using that version, I haven’t updated WordPress in agesI’m using a plugin which stops all updates to the site
The site was actually working fine up until a couple days ago and had been (since v2.8.1)
For some reason yesterday things just stopped adding to the cart
[UPDATE]
had tried many things, including upgrading WP and disabling all plugins and also clearing transientsContacted host and they confirmed that all permissions and cache was fine
Turns out PHP was set to 5.3 when it should be 5.2….
What an absolute waste of a day of stressful googling.

Out of the 6 images that wouldn’t upload, 5 of them were over 1,500px in width.
When making the images smaller, it would seem they would insert into the gallery with no problemanother image was 900×1300 (670kb file size) and still wouldn’t upload, so I have no idea why that one wouldn’t upload
I also tried inserting
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M');
Into the wp-config.php file, but this didn’t seem to do anythingJune 30, 2014 at 12:28 am in reply to: Desperate for Masonry Gallery assistance [deadline tomorrow] #285055It shows the thumbnails of the images in the actual masonry part if I freshly upload all of the images, but half of the images say “http error” when I upload them (they are there in the media section, but when I try to add them to the current gallery they won’t appear)
June 30, 2014 at 12:23 am in reply to: Desperate for Masonry Gallery assistance [deadline tomorrow] #285054Everytime I click add/edit gallery and I choose my pictures and order them, when i click insert to gallery nothing appears.. I’ve tried this countless times now, I’ve removed the masonry gallery and the content holder to see if this fixes it, but it still does exactly the same :(
Awesome, that worked just great, thank you very much! Am just wondering if there’s any way to display the amount spent next to that, so shoppers can keep track of spending?
