Thanks for the info Yigit. It looks like I wont be using the Layer Slider then. What is the recommended way of disabling it? Can I deregister somehow so it doesn’t show on the WP backend, and doesn’t come back the next time I update Enfold?

November 2, 2014 at 8:07 pm in reply to: moving styles to child theme, styles & menu are all broken #344966Uhhhh, that’s really not a best-practice solution. Plus, I have dozens of rules.
Anyway, it turns out that it was reading my styles.css, but for some reason not all the theme settings that I had imported. Solution was to make a slight edit to theme settings & resave. Looks perfect now.
Cancel that. Restarted Chrome and that fixed it. Very weird, since it was only happening on that one page. Still very hard to get the editor to end a text block with blank whitespace….. But I can live with that.
Anyway, please disregard my previous request.
Thanks.
wow. on a macbook with touch screen there is literally no way that i would ever have found that. i don’t see scrollbars unless i’m scrolling, while scrolling requires me to do a different gesture. that’s hilarious.
thanks for the heads up!
oops just realized you need to see the view from avia for repeatability:
Hi Yigit,
Can you tell me why I don’t have accordion listed in my “full list” dropdown?Sometimes I’m blind, but I’m really really not seeing it…… It looks like your list is quite a bit longer than mine?
Or do you want to just tell me what the options are for various toggles / accordions?
Thanks

https://kriesi.at/support/topic/problem-with-menu-overlapping-logo-menu-disappears/The moderators mostly suggest to tackle the problem on a CSS level. It didn’t work for the longest time but was by the end. It allows you to control the point at which wideness of menu or skinniness of viewport trigger display of a smaller mobile-type menu.
It’s still not a great solution — none of them are — because when the end user changes the menu (say, adds a new menu item), the CSS has to be manually modified to match :-/
No, not trying to have the menu below the logo. The problem is this:
The menu overlaps the logo. I’d like menu to never go further left than the right edge of the logo. So it would look like this:
Is there a way to do this?
Also, I’m not trying to expedite the appearance of the mobile menu. I much prefer the text menu. Ideally, it would wrap into a second line — like this:
Hi there. That doesn’t seem to fix the problem.
It seems like what you’re saying is that the only way to fix the menu overlapping the logo is to set a @media rule that defines a minimum page width before the mobile menu kicks in. Is this correct?
This is okay, but it means that that I’ll have to change the CSS every time the menu content is updated. I’d rather have some CSS that keeps
nav.main_menu from overlapping strong.logo. Perhaps if strong.logo was a <div> instead?Regards,
joshYigit, I more or less already tried that and it’s not working. You can see it now. The menu is still overlapping the logo.
Any other suggestions? Ideally a longer menu would wrap into two lines or something. Let me know if you need a better explanation of my issue or goals.
Thanks for your help.
Thanks, Yigit. Your theme update notification does not seem to be working in WordPress, it said the theme was up to date. (I’m pretty sure that my Themeforest creds are correct. Is there just somewhere that I can check periodically and see what version of Enfold is current? It seems like you update it very frequently, which is great…..)
Anyway, I’ve updated to 2.7 now. I’ve looked over the header display options. And I don’t see how to keep the menu from overlapping the logo. Is there a way? I don’t really want to start editing your menu CSS, because it’s so beautiful and feature-rich.
Thanks
here’s my site, if that helps.
