this is what I am saying, the images ARE all the same height when I upload them, and as they appear in the media gallery (I checked) they are all 100px high.

but NOT when I add them to the slider

yes, I have wpml installed, but if I make a spanish copy of the page if I edit the image caption in the gallery (spanish page) it also changes it in the english version, looking at the screenshot I sent you there is no option in the image caption area to translate the text so am I looking in the wrong place?

or do I need some additional setting or plugin for wpml?

sorry, I have completely wasted your time….

turns out zoom in both ie and chrome had been changed accidentally, it was just a pixel zoom thing after all..

so sorry but thanks anyway for your help :)
