  • I am sending humble apologies for dumping my frustrations out on you folks in a heavy handed way. After another convo with my host today, they increased my upload max file, my php limits, max input vars, memory limit and it would appear that the problem with my media library is now resolved. I have not tried to upload more than a handful of images, but a few large images uploaded instantly as a test, which will allow me to address some of the SEO concerns I had regarding filenames etc. The person I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful, explaining some technical stuff I was unaware of, and allowing me to move forward with optimizing my website. At the very least, I now know what I have to do to continue using this beautiful theme… Susan

    Andy:

I have literally hundreds of photos
on the site already, many customized pages and the site is otherwise
working properly; I also have a child theme installed and have no idea what
to do with that even if I felt capable (which I’m NOT) to do what you’ve suggested.

My problem is the the media upload library. Creating pages and adding
content does not seem to be a problem, only that.

I cannot imagine doing what you’ve suggested. I am not a web developer and
cannot imagine starting over from essentially scratch. What happens to the
site when I take it down and install a new version? How do I install the
child theme? Having to do this baffles me beyond my capabilities.

I need someone to troubleshoot the media library issue on my site. Please.
This was annoying from the beginning as I was ALWAYS getting http errors
and often had to upload a file more than once. Now it’s hugely problematic
    as I can’t upload anything.
    .
Kindly please help. I don’t have many plugins, only those that were already
there, and the GoDaddy SEO, which I’ve just begun
    to use.

I do not have the capacity to do what you’re asking.I need someone to look
at my site and tell me what’s happening with the media library. The host
says it is NOT a capacity issue. You guys are the Kriesi experts. It’s a
great site but I need someone to basically walk me through this or I will
be unable to continue to use your theme.

    Frustratingly yours, Susan

Hi Andy, thank you and I will keep to theme topics.

There was another fellow who has been assisting with this issue but the answer is no, the Media library is functioning perfectly outside of the Enfold theme. I have been on the phone with my host and they are telling me (after an hour’s worth of on the phone assistance) that this is a theme issue, not a hosting issue. Kindly look at my site to see what has been happening to anything I upload. Extremely small files appear to occasionally make it to the library, but photographs sized to 2048 x 1365 x 72 for example which is the size of the images on my home page (and your suggested size) are not making it to the library. Kindly try it your self to see. I sent a link with images sized to these proportions and I continue to get html errors. Thanks and best, Susan
